On the starting grid graphics, Jack LeBrocq was sponsored by LEGO with a proper livery, am I missing something?

Must’ve be a deal that fell through last minute
LEGO partnered with VASC. They'll be at Newcastle with a family section.

Guess I'll play some GT Sport and watch a bit of TCR.

I mean it was always going to be an RBRA fest, especially with Reynolds having handling issues. Kelly and Nissan aren't nearly fast enough to keep the high end of the top ten in sight so he'll finish mid top ten or lower. Which is sad because that was a great rally they put in the quali.

The only car that could challenge had a bad quali (at least for them) and they've done a great strategy and pace effort to claw back and mitigate the point loss that could of been major. Sure it's a bit boring to see SVG or Whincup win but the rest of the race was quite interesting and good, and even the fight between the two Red Bulls is good back and forth. I think a good race to cap the weekend.

Well, on to Ipswich and then SMP. Hopefully Scott and put some distance back on the points board.

Funny, DJRTP are leading the DC by 70 points and RBHRT leading the TC by 70 points.

So anyone see the Roland Dane interview before the race today?

I've been trying to digest the retirement announcement of CL & the opinions of many saying things like he was pushed. Following what RD had to say today, I believe there was at the very least, some gentle persuasion.

RD admitted his daughter, Jessica, has pretty much got an agenda to increase the number of females in T8 if not pit lane. That in itself tells me Jessica has convinced Daddy to accept the Harvey Norman & Supercar dirty money, taking on Simona DeSilvestro.

If that's the case, I see this as the beginning of a downward trend at T8 & fully expect some T8 staff that expect the best, to 'abandon ship' rather than work with SDS just because she's a female.

Finally, if RD forces Craig Lowndes to drive the endurance rounds with SDS, I wish nothing more than a pox on Roland's entire operation :irked:

I felt T8 were going downward when they left "Ford". From then, the team did feel like(to me) the evil empire with Palpatine at the helm. The man even looks like the emperor.

It'll happen end of next year for sure. Red Bull were talking about at Bathurst.

The only issue is some of the locations in the southern states can get scorching during the summertime. Depending on the time of year, The Bend, Barbagallo and Winton could become scorching dustbowls. Aside from that, I'm not completely opposed to the idea.

With the footy season starting late March (not including NAB Cup) and ending right at the end of September there's not much time for a full season. That only leaves six months with no overlap (the first race would have to be early October, not September) for a season, and would run through the Christmas/New Year/school holiday period when typically households are more cash strapped. I honestly can't see how they'd be better off because they're still going to overlap if they run till May anyway.

Personally I'm not a fan of a compressed schedule that runs right through the hottest part of Summer, it's not good for the drivers or for the people attending the races. What's the sudden concern with competing against the NRL & AFL anyway?

Hold on.

Edwards, meanwhile, revealed the car Cameron Waters is driving this year had been earmarked as a Mustang during the early stages of its build.

Tickford and DJRTP had originally hoped to receive sign-off on the Mustang project from Ford in time for 2018.

“In March 2017 we began building that car and said ‘well, it’d be nice if we could run the Mustang in 2018’,” he said.

“Then we got to a ‘no go’ point, and once we passed that, we finished the built of it as a Falcon.”
