Don't know about next year. Supercars and Harvey Norman may have to pay someone off... or out.
Could always say she's leaving because she 'no longer enjoying racing and would return to Switzerland' and that it's for 'personal reasons' that were 'no way caused by' the teams loss of factory backing....

and then race for 888 next year 💡

 👍

... but seriously, she'd leaving for skiing. Skiing, man.

Nah that would cause fans to be far too butt hurt and complain about it on forums for the next 10 years
I would've thought they wouldn't be butt hurt in the slightest, and that it's far more likely they'd be making jokes about it rather than complaining... and in far less time than 10 years. I know I would be ;)

I didn't believe it at first from the narrative you created when you talked about it, but didn't say anything because I wanted to see how it panned out first. Also because I'm not as knowledgeable on team inner workings in the series. However, I would say good job because it looks to be correct after the articles also hint at was you predicted.

And I agree with your stance on it from the get go, which is I too would be quite upset if it does go through but I doubt T8 would crumble because of it.

I'm just trying to figure out him spitting out three or four cars.
1. Where's he getting the fourth REC?
2. Who does he have in his sights for the 888 and car #XXX?
3. No way is Giz going to get Lowndes as a CO. Dumbrell is out- Maybe to run with Simona :sly: or Jacobson(?) in the Enduros.

Grand Tour test driver Abbie Eaton has actively expressed her interest in joining the Supercars grid. She's already sent a letter to Holden and Triple 8, following the news that Holden were looking at fielding a female driver .

Anyone care to guess who will be Simona's co-driver at T8 next year?

I'm thinking a 2020 4 car squad. That's if Whincup is leaving after he win this and next year's Championship.

I can see Jacobson in the #88 or he gets Lowndes' seat and Simona gets a 4th seat in 2020. RD buys two of the Kelly's Rec's.

Dear god, no.

How about Rullo? Hypothetically if there is a fourth T8 car at some point in the next few years, I could see Dane snapping him up.

This sounds absolutely horrible and I'm going to say no.

Could be like the Holden Young Lions team back in the day.

I really don't see how Simona deserves a T8 seat more that the rookies out there to be honest. I know she's good PR but it cheapens T8s look .I've always seen them as results driven over anything and she hasn't shown enough in my eyes .

I hope none of what I'm speculating happens. Buuuut...

Would T8 do a Toro Rosso type thing? Seriously, put together a "sister" squad?
A 888 ''sister'' squad in Super2 with Molly Taylor driving and backed by Harvey Norman... it could be quite a good starting combo and a great launching pad for women in motorsport, and would fit in well with the Holden/Jess Dane/Harvey Norman plan. I certainly wouldn't be against the idea.

New livery and mumber for Davison this weekend.

Why does part of me feel like this is a variation of the Lago Maggiore circuit on Gran Turismo Sport?

Either way, more tracks is always a welcome addition to the Australian motorsport community

I would be quite content if they just placed Lago Maggiore on that plot of land.

Got me thinking though. How many of the regulars in this thread play GT Sport? It would be great to have a run around Mt. Panorama with you guys.

I do, but don't do lobbys.

On that front, Speedweek have an eSeries GT3 Championship coming soon, using GTSPORT.

Being on you're friends list you know I play Gt Sport  and the only other one I know of is @05XR8 .

I'd be up for it but not just yet. After not being able to race for nearly a month, and when I could before that it was only for the odd race or two, my doctor's recommended getting a cortisone injection in my troublesome wrist. It's happening tomorrow so hopefully all will be good soon.... at least I'll be able to kick back with a beer in my other hand and watch the races this weekend :)

Chris Stubbs reporting on Supercars Trackside:
- no surprise that Singapore may not happen next year.

Another thing. Why would the film crew set up right in front of a teams pit bay, when they're practicing a pit stop?

These new SuperUtes are hopeless as race cars :yuck:, they just trip over themselves far to easily.

Today... and yes, it's the same one as last time
