Let the Pickett Trubisky era begin. OL and ILBs are a real issue but I trust Tomlin to avoid a losing record, and hopefully we can sneak into the playoffs. Probably a year or two away from contending again but the offensive core is in place.
I no longer trust Tomlin

Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady. I guess I sold today's NFL action. My Houston Texans will try to get their first win of the season at the Chicago Bears. Oh, and we also have Bengals at Jets, a GTPlanet inner-forum rivalry between two of my good GTP mates. The nightcap is the San Francisco 49ers meeting the Denver Broncos.

Whatever action excites you this weekend, enjoy today's games!

First Bengals game I can't see because the Colts are on and they win. Only 3 sacks against on Burrow. The highlight of the Boyd touchdown was pretty cool. Can't say much else about the game since I don't really know what else happened but glad to pick up a win.

While I didn't get to watch their win, at least I did get to see Indy knock off KC. Along with Miami taking down Buffalo, the AFC could get interesting.

Indeed, its early too. It's best to work the kinks out early on. I thought your Bengals were a lock last week, that was some BS from the Cowboys. I hope they got that out of their system :P

Looks like the Chargers are still the same old Chargers. Jags come into their house and beat the crap out of them.

And that proves the unpredictability of it all. The Jags blanked the Colts last week. Then the Colts go and beat one of the strongest AFC teams in the Chiefs. I have trouble believing the Jags are that good. Maybe I'm wrong.

It was 23-20 in Chicago as the Chicago Bears won on a walk-off (to use baseball speak) game-winning field goal to sink the Houston Texans. The game was tied at 20-20 for a good amount of the 2nd Half. I didn't get to see all of the game because of a family gathering. So Houston is now 0-2-1 on 2022.

Up next is back home to host the Los Angeles Chargers. The futility has to end in Houston at some point.

Other than that, congratulations to all of this week's winners!

Any given Sunday, am I right?

Hard to judge the Jags based on the disaster they had last year with the whole Urban Meyer mess.

Cowboys at Giants TONIGHT!

The NFC East is in vogue and on display tonight in the shadow of New York City. Divisional foes Dallas and the New York Giants will set it off tonight.

--- MORE INFORMATION ---
  • DAL Cowboys (1-1, 3rd in NFC East) at NYG Giants (2-0, 2nd in NFC East)
  • FAVORED: NYG (-1)
  • OVER/UNDER: 39.5 points

Enjoy tonight's game!

I feel a strong kinship with Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey after he went crazy and destroyed his headset and tablet at the end of the game yesterday. That's the level my temper reaches at times, well a lot of the time. There's no telling how many game controllers I destroyed back in the day. Also golf clubs were a personal favorite. The satisfying metallic sounds the shafts made as they broke when thrown hard to the ground.

Maybe the Jacksonville Jaguars were tired of being told they stink and decied to do something about it. Despite the AFC South being absolutely atrocious, the Jags lead this sorry Division. They'll be at the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.

What other games are on for Week 4? Check these out:

  • MIA Dolphins at CIN Bengals (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • KC Chiefs at TB Buccaneers (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • LA Rams at SF 49ers (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

I am concerned about the Chiefs at Buccaneers game because of the advancing Hurricane Ian. This otherwise is perhaps the best prime time match of this week. I hope all of you stay safe and enjoy some NFL action this week.

I forgot to hype up tonight, while I'm watching an old NFL game on Pluto TV. It was a re-air of Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving in 2015. Anyhow... on to tonight's match...

So... are you ready for Prime Time? The Cincinnati Bengals will welcome the Miami Dolphins to Southwestern Ohio. Miami is a perfect 3-0 so far going against some ferocious cats. Cincinnati is 1-2 on the young season, and they hope to stun the Dolphins in their house. We'll see who leaves this Thursday night with a win. I'm sure our Dolph Drago and Omnis have vested interest in tonight's game.

Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching and/or following!

Hopefully Tua is ok.

Tua shouldn’t have been playing. And that back injury that was reported last week is gonna unravel in to some major drama. The Dolphins, and probably the NFL are going to get sued.

Supposedly the plan is for him to be released from the hospital and travel with the team back to Miami tonight, which is amazing considering how serious it looked. Sunday's injury was definitely fishy after seeing the replay. Back injury? No, that was his head hitting the ground hard. Just like tonight.

As for the rest of the game, I can't for the life of me figure out why we didn't throw downfield more often. Burrow was actually getting some protection for once, and instead we got a bunch of check downs. That was, assuming we weren't trying to cram Mixon directly down Miami's throat and getting nowhere. Oh well, a win is a win, and it was badly needed.

It's almost as if they obviously lied about what actually happened to him even though it was on live television and then pushed him back into two games.

I mean, he passed the neuro evaluation. It's not like the Dolphins did anything wrong since they took him out and had him evaluated. I'm just not sure why the hit-the-ground-and-writhe-while-clutching-your-head followed by the get-up-woozy-and-stumble bits aren't part of the evaluation.

It's supposed to be. It's supposed to be an overriding deciding factor regardless of the testing done when the player comes off the field, in fact; just to be safe. That Miami had the balls to pretend it was a back injury and McDaniels trotted himself out for his post-game interview to say he would never deliberately endanger his players after being complicit in doing it twice only adds to the farce.

We failed again. It was 34-24 as the Houston Texans lose at home to the Los Angeles Chargers. Chargers were ahead early and often with the Texans not being able to even have a chance to tie. We may be heading towards getting the 1st Overall Draft Pick the way this crappy season is going in Houston.

And who's next? At the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yay...

Congratulations to all winners from this week! How did your team(s) do?

Rams at 49ers TONIGHT!

It's an all-California, all NFC West Monday Night tonight. A good old SoCal vs. NorCal match will be coming your way from Santa Clara, California, USA as the L.A. Rams meet the S.F. 49ers.

--- INFO ---
  • LAR Rams (2-1, 1st in NFC West) at SF 49ers (1-2, 4th in NFC West)
  • FAVORED: SF (-1.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 42.5 pts.

Enjoy tonight's game if you will be watching or following!

Here is my first Standings Update for this new season. Find your favorite team(s):

--- AFC STANDINGS (as of: October 4, 2022) ---
AFC EAST: Miami and Buffalo (3-1 each), NYJ (2-2), NE (1-3)
AFC WEST: Kansas City (3-1), LAC and DEN (2-2 each), LV (1-3)
AFC NORTH: Cleveland, Baltimore, and Cincinnati (2-2 each), PIT (1-3)
AFC SOUTH: Jacksonville and Tennessee (2-2), IND (1-2-1), HOU (0-3-1)

--- NFC Standings (as of October 4, 2022) ---
NFC EAST: Philadelphia (4-0), DAL and NYG (3-1 each), WAS (1-3)
NFC WEST: San Francisco, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona, and Seattle (2-2 each)
NFC NORTH: Minnesota and Green Bay (3-1 each), CHI (2-2), DET (1-3)
NFC SOUTH: Tampa Bay and Atlanta (2-2 each), CAR and NO (1-3 each)

It's early in the season, so let's not make any conclusions. Teams currently doing well aren't guaranteed to make it to the Playoffs or even win the Super Bowl. Teams currently doing poorly aren't guaranteed to get the first overall Draft pick. Some winning teams may start choking and falling apart. Some losing teams may start getting hot and make themselves unlikely playoff contenders. You can't win the championship in October. So let's reserve some of our opinions until later this season.

Wow... every team in the NFC West has the same record. Philadelphia is the only undefeated team so far. Meanwhile, my pathetic Houston Texans still haven't won in the sorry AFC South. It is still too early for me to follow the equally brutal Houston Rockets in the NBA instead.

Okay. So here's some of the games slated for this week:

  • IND Colts at DEN Broncos (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • NYG Giants vs. GB Packers (to be played in England)
  • CIN Bengals at BAL Ravens (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • LV Raiders at KC Chiefs (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

Keep cheering on your favorite team(s). Enjoy this week's games!

Week 5 starts tonight! You could think of tonight as the "Peyton Manning Bowl," since Peyton Manning played for both Indianapolis and Denver. He also took both teams to the Super Bowl. Tonight's match is up in the Mile High City.

If you will be watching or following this game in any capacity, enjoy tonight's action!

For the first time in I think 11 years, I can say that the Giants are undefeated. No one is more shocked than me. I literally had my finger over the TV power button at half time....then I was like, well you never know.

It took a miracle play from Barkley, but so did it also when Cruz roasted the Jets for 94 yards a few years back. Maybe we just need that spark, or maybe I'm just daydreaming  Either way, I'll be watching the Panthers game for certain next week 🤞

Minus Kenny Golladay, the whole offense is looking quite capable of putting up a fight with anyone. That's quite the improvement.

Time to start another Sunday of NFL action. Whether your game you want to see today is in the United States or the United Kingdom, enjoy today's action!

My Houston Texans paid a visit to the Jacksonville Jaguars today. The awesome (yeah, right...) AFC South is in vogue here. So how did we do? Well...

TEXANS WIN!

Winless no more! The only remaining winless team FINALLY gets the "W" in 2022. And also, that's now NINE straight wins the Texans have over the Jaguars. WOW! Most of the game was a defensive struggle as both teams traded field goals in the 1st half. The Texans scored the only points of the 2nd Half on a clutch touchdown. We finally get it done! The Texans are now 1-3-1.

Up next for the Houston Texans... we're off next week. After the Bye, we're going to go all-in and all-out in Las Vegas as we meet the Las Vegas Raiders. I think this will be the first-ever time the Texans played at Las Vegas for a regular season game.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week!

Raiders at Chiefs TONIGHT!

In vogue this Monday night is the AFC West, and we have the Las Vegas Raiders going to the Midwest to meet the Kansas City Chiefs. Please note the Kansas City in question is Kansas City, Missouri; not Kansas City, Kansas. Anyhow...

  • LV Raiders (1-3; 4th in AFC West) at KC Chiefs (3-1; 1st in AFC West)
  • FAVORED: KC (-7.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 52 points

Enjoy tonight's action if you'll be watching/following!
