I love this last picture! Nice view!
You should be more familiar with that view than myself. ;)

Also, congrats on premium ;)
I have this next man to thank to for that. :D

The reason I like the tram shot was the tight portrait orientation of the image but its naturally a horizontal, the juxtaposition is what make its a fun shot, plus only showing a few passengers makes it intimate on what would be otherwise a busy tram.
You may actually have a point there. ;) 👍

I also love that view in the latest pic. Again instead of just shooting off into the city, you get to see some people enjoying the view and it tells their story. Nice.

That was exactly what I was going for. Thanks.

I also really like the way the light falls across the tram. A nice capture indeeed.

Thanks, guys. This is an old part of Lisbon, which is a hill facing the river. The tram rides are excelent.

This next shot actually shows where the tram heads next (it comes from the left side of the Cathedral):

Love the latest shots. Shame the first one doesn't have someone siting at the bench. The second is great.

Nice to see you and Sprite updating your galleries every once in a while. Great shots also.

I like this one:

Reminds me of the trolleys in San Francisco my family used to catch.

Yes, San Francisco and Lisbon are very similar in some architectural aspects. It's interesting, actually. I found this link, that shows what I'm talking about.

Yeah, some old people sitting there would have been great. Or some hot chicks for that matter.

Thanks.

Wow. That's crazy. I'm in class right now and I just freaked out about the similarity's. Thanks for showing me that. I might just visit. :)

This was taken with the lovely Nikkor AIS 105mm f/1.8. Fantastic lens, which I literally just tried for a couple of shots (it belonged to the person who sold me his 20mm f/3.5).

I saw that last night on Flickr. It is a lovely shot. Colours and composition a fantastic. Do you do much PP?

^ This being an old lens, and since I shot it wide-open, the original shot came a bit dark (vignetting) and lacking contrast. I did compensate exposure when shooting, by +2/3, but even so I had to increase it a bit in Lightroom. I also opened up shadows and bumped contrast a bit.
Besides that, I fixed the horizon (I hate crooked horizons) and fixed WB manually more to what I remember my eyes seeing at the time of shoot.
I think that was about it.

It's funny because, in this case, I almost like the original more sometimes. I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks.

Same place, different lens, and a bit later in time (very different light):

Thanks for the insight, I agree with you on the horizon. Luckily the Fuji has a level on screen.

The green line going through the middle, so I have no excuse for a wonky horizon.

I do like both but I think the edit has something over the original. (note to self, stop over editing things)

Thanks for bringing that up!
I mean, Nikon also has "Virtual Horizon" (which can be shown using the rear display in full, during liveview and during normal shooting, through the viewfinder) and I didn't remember that! Quite nice.
I've now assigned the "Fn" button to turn VH on and off on the viewfinder. :D

Seriously, everytime I look at my older photos I'm always thinking "how could I've processed this in such way...?". Editing photos is a very dynamic thing and we do tend do overdo it.

If not for the Prius in the background, I'd have trouble placing what decade this was taken. Quite like it, just has a mood to it I can't entirely explain.
Glad you do, thanks.

I did actually tried to remove the car (which is a Focus C-Max, by the way - not that it matters), but I just couldn't get any decent results. I'm not that good at clone-stamping and the clone tool in Lightroom sucks, too.
