4/13/2011 - Lightweight K Cup

Why are they letting us to tune over the opponent cars ? (320-360 <<< 420) :(
It is too easy that way. It would be more fun if the max PP number would equal to the average of the opponents PP number.

Try some self control. You can make GT5 a very difficult game if you put some effort into it.

Don't understand why you complain about the pp restriction. You are not forced to tune your car at all. You can make it as hard or easy as you like.

K cars are go!

I honestly believe some people do not want to think when it comes to this game.

I used the ofc-1 for a couple races before I went to bed. The eiffel track isn't very long but isn't bad. I like the off-camber turns and constant elevation changes. I love deep forest raceway though :-) that and Trail mountain are my favorite tracks after Nurburgring.

Sir, you and I think a lot alike. Those three tracks are superb. The best out there in my book!!:)

Interesting that last weeks new OCD had the cars that are needed for this weeks K-Car races. Seeing as how the OCD has alot of muscle cars in it right now I'm thinking next weeks Seasonal Event might have something to do with Muscle Cars. If you don't own one maybe buy one in anticipation.

At least the races give a good payout for driving those little turtles... I'll try them soon :)

Tbh, after the Lambo seasonal, these are the best ones they've made! (Of course excluding the first set of hard and millionaire ones)

Why? Because its so damn fun to take Eiger in a tuned Cappucino or AZ-1 with the right tires and specs... It's really unbelivable how fun they are and how easy is to earn the money. 3 Laps on these go-karts are just the right ammount! I did 1 million without even noticing that.

And, the AZ-1 noise will blow your ears... its plain annoying... as the car has most of its torque on mid-revs, my hint is to have a pretty tall gear ratio... with 180-200kmh of final top speed. That will keep the revs down and the sound is less annoying.

One last comment: ROME REVERSE RULES! I forgot completelly about reversed tracks. The only one I usually race is Deep Forest Rev. and Grand Valley East Rev.

They put the 1st car far in front, so you have to be stronger to reach it in just 3 laps...

I wish they still had where you could win all of the prize money if you get first place. But then again, those races were only one time deals....

so maybe not.

Yeah I totally agree about the ROME REVERSE TRACK. It's way better than the regular track. I'm destroying that track with my Cappuccino (EA21R) RM '95.

Okay, I have a 415 pp cappuccino rm and am losing by 8 seconds everytime.. this is interesting.

Cappucino RM 420 pp
Comforts medium
Tranny set to 150
ABS off
No Aids

Only challenge (a bit), Eiger

Anyway as we can play with PP these events are quite funny and quite challenging if you try the hard way.

It is not all about money mates!

By the way you could do your own Inmaculate challenges if you have a good approach once the event is loaded as the cars are always the same

What are some of the more fun cars to race on these? I'm using the rm cappuccino with comfort hards on it set around 400pp and it's pretty fun. Anything similar I should look at?

One of my favorites was the 80's seasonal races with the mr2. That thing was sideways all day.

I recommend you try out the Mazda Autozam. :)

Using the Honda Beat Version Z right now. I'll try the Autozam next if I have it. I could race Deep Forest 30 times and not get bored.

ok guys im up all night grinding the eifel track, can anyone get this in under 3 minutes and whats yout tune for the car, cheers

Not a big fan of K cars but Daihatsu Copen Active Top works well for this and i already love Rome circut but reverse wow it flows so much better. I also see alot of grinding on the Eifel circut for money 3 laps in 3:10 for 100K niice

Dude you guys are forgetting about one of my most favorite cars in the game, the Mazda Carol Deluxe. You can easily beat the races in a fully tuned one, not sure about stock, but this car is a hoot to drive. Most of the corners just require minor slowing and some minor breaking.

Prizes are excellent, races are good fun too. I think the Eifel race could become the new race to grind as it only takes just over 3 minutes and over 100,000 in prize credits. 👍

YES, YES, YES!!! Lots o money and a fun race! Great grind!

this seasonal sounded more fun than it actually was for me, went into it all enthusiastic but was extremely bored quickly due to the low speed racing, I usually repeat these seasonals a few times at least with different cars and low PP but not this time. Keep these races in the beginner series IMO. Not a fan of K cars or whatever you like to call them, better than sleeping pills.

I'm doing 0:57 on lap 2-3 and 1:01 on lap 1 so doing 2:56ish...
Using Cappuccino RM Fully Tuned & Power Limited to meet 420PP with RS tyres.
As for tuning, set top speed to 180, drop ride height to minimum and stiffen the spring rate should do you for sub-1mins. I have had a bit more of a play than that but am not at PS3 to confirm exactly but they are the 3 main changes! 👍

Additionally, I have only had about 5 or 6 runs at this race so I have no doubt that better times are possible it is a matter of learning the track and finding the fastest line.

Fun seasonals. A suggestion for competitive and interesting races:

A very mildly tuned Premium Daihatsu Coupen (75-80 PS / around 320 pp, I think) on Comfort Soft (like the competition). I had to do 2-3 tries per track to get to the top.

I think any mildly tuned turbo Kei car will do the trick.

Late two fifties in a Midget using a wheel. Active steering on strong, TC off & ABS on 1. Tuned up to 420pp with fixed sports suspension, RH tyres & top speed set to 180km/hr (113mph)

First car I saw in my premium selection:

Daihatsu ofc-1 concept '07

Slapped Weight 2 reduction, Stage 2 Engine, Everything Sport, except for suspension, I left it at Default. (Due to it's awesome description). Mid Turbo to double the HP, stock tranny, Medium Sport Tires,

..loaded up Eiger Seasonal and?

The Daihatsu destroys the Alpha Competizione, Did the lap in 1:16.

fyi.

try this car, and tell me if it is not a fun ride? All AIDS OFF, including ABS. Does not oversteer AT ALL. maximus grippus. even on comfort mediums, lol. Cockpit view for driving kicks in the seasonal.

Rome Reverse is awesome as stated before....the Eifel Track is fun as usual....I'm using a Honda BEAT and it really scoots around the track, and it is an absolute hoot to drive quickly...I like it.
