4/13/2011 - Lightweight K Cup

I can't agree with you any more than that! These cars are an absolute blast to drive! 👍

As true as that is, I've also had a lot of fun with fully tuned Miras, Beats, Cappucinos and AZ-1's, they're like super fast cars but smaller! Put them on racing softs and things just get ridiculous.

I love the Mira's growl between 5-6,000rpm, you wouldn't think it was a 660cc turbo responsible for that warble.

What happened to the "GT Driver's Club", or whatever it was called? How many weeks/months ago did PD announce it would soon be released?

I totally agree about the Rome course in reverse, flows much-o better and better sight-seeing! I like to use the Daihatsu Copen Active Top too. Soup it up to about 160hp and zoom around the tracks. I'd like to test-drive one of these cars in the real world.

I got one. it´s a lot of fun, makes me smile just looking at it

really enjoying "flying" around in my Lambo Orange Cappucino RM .was only used early on in the game...funny thing is it's still breaking in and every 3-4 races I have to readjust the limiter cause it's still gaining hp lol

Now here's the thing. I have a Suzuki Cappuccino but Ive RMed it and so now it has too many PPs, need to lower that I suppose. So instead I used the awful Mitsubishi Imei thing, electric, sounds like a kettle boiling! Funny thing tho it golded the first race! Second race, the Eiger Nordwand ( my fave circuit) it could only manage 7th! So i did something silly and tried the only other car I have in the category, the Diane thingy from the 60s. Oh my god how slow is that car, lol. Struggles on the uphill section and got lapped by Everyone, lol

you can get your Rm Cappucino under the 420pp by adding weight or using the power limiter in the engine settings..I've used both on my Cap.
After reading thru this post I went n bought a flashy purple Suzuki Cervo and I love that lil car...the 7 speed kicks butt

Ha. I tried one of those Cervos in gt5. Prologue, horrible little thing! But in this race it might work. Or maybe a copen OFC1...

I'll have to try the Cervo next.

I've been thoroughly enjoying these - for a "fun driving experience" perspective and a "earn credit 🤬 quick" perspective!
I've been rotating though:
Cappuccino - RM version
Autozam
Copen Active Top
Midget
OFC-1

All I've done is tune them up to as close to 420PP as I can manage.
(I can get to the 412-420 range without much issue, but I find as I'm breaking in a new Kei car, the breaking in will pop me above 420PP, so I'll try and tweak or simply move to a different car.)

The new Seasonal Events are OK as well, and it's nice to go a little faster for a change, but it's not as much pure fun!

Peace...

The last race at the track is the best money maker. 101,700cr. for ever 3 minutes and 25 seconds. It's more fun when you slap comforts on and finish 1st in mere seconds.

Well, I still haven't been able to turn in a single lap at the kart track under 1:00.000!
(Although, I've come within 1/4 of a second, but I just figure between racing with a DS3 and not being the best racer, maybe a lap under a minute just won't ever pan out. Not gonna stop me from trying, though...)

Well, this (yet to nail a single lap under one minute) is no longer the case - thanks to my new buddy the Cervo!

I run 57,5xx laps with my cappucino tune and its still time on the track left...

first overall time was 2.14
slowly I reached 2.04

would say the transmission is here the biggest fact

my frist tanny setup was really bad... the car wont run over 135 kmh,
now i got torque from 0-155kmh

the first cornor i can take with 115kmh (if i hit the cornor right)

Great seasonals. I took the chance to upgrade most of my kei cars (I think I've got them all). Some light tuning to bring them to about 100 hp and 850 Kg, also including sport suspensions, will make them competitive. By fitting them low rpm turbo kits, the optimal shifting points for max acceleration become quite lower than usual, so beware (the Copen Active Top especially becomes like a diesel car. You will need a custom transmission for extra long gears to shift up gears at about 5000 rpm at relevant speeds).

Finished these last night with my RMed Cappucino. I added balast to bring the PP down but first time I put it all in the rear, totally upset the car's balance! So I put it in the centre and won!

I used the Alto works wagon
Lately, I've attempted with all Kei cars I have. They all have the potential to win even on comfort soft tires, with some upgrades. These are the seasonal races I liked the most so far.

I dont think theres anything faster then the daihatsu mira for this
best lap time so far for me on the eiffel track is 55.8 seconds

For the fastest times I also suggest the Daihatsu Copen or the Daihatsu Move SR-XX 4WD. By the way, thinking about it, Daihatsu kei cars in GT5 have an edge over other models/makes for some reason. I wonder why.

Dunno if that happens with other models, but yeah looks like they got more power/toque when tuned in some cases. My Move SR-XX 2WD have lots of torque with the stage 2 turbo. A lot more than I could expect. It's really fun!

Those are better than the Cappucino RM?

With triple rewards going on right now, its three minutes for three hundred grand. 100K a minute!

I am also glad I get to you my CapRM.

Simple answer...Yes!!!

The Cappuccino RM is a total waste of money.
The added downforce is completely unneeded and adds a large chunk to your PP. Add in that the cappuccino is way down in the BHP and Torque compared to the Daihatsus and is as heavy or heavier...

I am using a Suzuki Alto works with a stage 1 turbo, and golded all events. The Eifel kart track is an easy win by 10 seconds with AT and DS£. Give it a try.

This 👍

At low PP, race/rm cars suffer from a lack of power from their equivalent PP road cars.

They lack power up to 500 PP and it depends on how much DF you are and the tyres you use.

I used my CappRM with CS tyres for the Kei Car Eifel Seasonal (Approx 1:05 per lap)

When I found out about grinding this track I decided to see what lap times can be achieved with different cars/ tuning.
Started with RM cappuccino fully mod, use power limiter. Car became quick when tuned iirc breking into 58 secs.
Went onto Honda Life, fully tuned didn't get to 420pp but was so funny how I was able to go full throttle into most of the corners in that!

Just been tuning a '91 Honda Beat today though and managed a 55.6xx using a controller! ( and getting 59 second first laps easily ) I'm going to switch to wheel now and see what times I can get and fine tune the set-up :)
I'll post in here what times I achieve and it would be good to read what times ppl are getting with what cars.

Trying to get the fastest times in this challenge is making it fun to grind hehe :)
