I have a very important guide for all those who have trouble getting gold using DS3.

I tried all the recommended cars with the recommended setups, because I was stuck with a time of 1:30.002 :scared: with Shelby Series One.

When I thought about how to lessen wheelspin (I was losing lot of time during accelerating in corners) I put LSD on the following parameters:
LSD: 10/05/18
other parameters in setup is from shaun80 - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-seasonal-setups.300860/page-87#post-10022464

And suddenly Shelby started to go steadily, without the wheelspin and won gold at once.

I have been watching @Ed_Night make his lap. Analysing it, trying to apply what he is doing the best I can. I am in the 1:27 range but I threw away several low 1:26 laps. I do need a better set-up too. But I need to improve my driving immensely too.

Got gold with the Caterham, but it was difficult (1:29,861). I wish we had a Caterham with a ZETEC engine and not a bike on 4 wheels.:grumpy:

Wow, a Japanese guy using S2000 Type V '03 going into club 1.23  Who can share this tune ?

Spend some time with the S2000 Type V '03 today and got a 1:23,998.

Great tunes Ed:tup: but what is youre tune with the Shelby?

Like youre tunes always.

You can practice on this track in the garage. I may not be one of the fast players yet, but acheiving a gold time in a 480pp FF. CS Mazda Kusabi was pretty cool even if it doesn't really count.

Can't wait to try this one out, I have hit the wall with the Mazda at 1:25.279.

Thanks for sharing your tunes!!!

Thanks a lot , my kind buddy 👍 :gtpflag:

Finally cracked gold on this with the Spirit R using @Ed_Night tune with a 1:29:6XX, slightly modified the final gear to 2.900. Found the 2.700 too long and kept watching the Series 1 ghosts of my friends drive off ahead of me even when I got through the corner before them. Need a bit more practice with this track, but I doubt I'll be joining the 1:25 club any time soon!

One thing that might be limiting my progress is I'm running with a car that's had the oil change done, and I think my power limiting is around 90.5%, so I might actually be running a lower power than I could be...

I have just switched to the @Ed_Night tune, and have now run a 1.26.208, and it wasn't a perfect lap! Great tune Ed.

That @Ed_Night tune is great. Very low 1:28's so far, but I beat my Shelby time by severak tenths and had a whole lot more fun. The car feels very planted except for some off-throttle oversteer on that last decreasing radius turn just before the main straight.

Yet again an outstanding tune! I wish I could tune as great as you can. I only had anough time to put one lap in and it was even a good lap in my opinion and it was a 1:26.4 which I reckon I could get it into the 25's fairly easily.

Boy look at the leaderboards number 1 is nearly in the 22's!

I only found one car to stockyard forever so far this time.

Nismo GTR LM Road Car. Did they swap the RB engine with a 5.9l cummins? Seriously, what is up with the weight distribution? Wings should add grip as you increase the setting, as far as I can tell they do not on this car. Instead, they just make it so a Caterham can pull you in on the straights. I am sure it is able to gold with the right driver. :P

Hi LM7325, got gold with the Nismo GTR LM Road Car. Took me 2 laps 1:29.4
My setup are very different than everyone else. And if you give it a try,
would love to know what you think about it.

I have a Shelby tune. Easy 1:25

I will try it. Strange set-up indeed. But then again conventional means did not seem to help it much. I enjoyed lapping the Silverado more and that says it all.

EDIT: Ok made gold with it. But that set-up is way too tight for my driving style. Maybe it is because I don't use Active Steering? This is my gold set-up.:mischievous:

Took me a few laps to learn your driving style and gold it :)
Very nice tune, thanks for sharing!

I love trying different tune and trying to improve them for my driving style. So this is another one, last one promise!!

Ok I will give it a go when I can. One thing the Nismo does well is grip the initial left hander like super glue. If not for that gold would have been impossible. Had to grow a pair to chuck it in there harder than any car yet lol. But now my times should drop with every car. Crappy car but it taught me a thing or 2 here.

Most of the cars taught me something on this track ...
But it was more like "DONT USE ME ON HERE" ... or similar things  :boggled:

i stick to the 500PP Event. It gave me my first top 1000 position so far :)

Hi everyone!

I've been finding this seasonal very difficult... I have only tried a couple of BMWs (1 series tii and M4 coupe) and the best I've got was a 1m31.5s with the M4. Since I'm complete rubbish at tuning, can someone give me a good tune for any of these cars?

Go to page 2 of this thread and try Ed_nights mazda tune. It's a gold medal tune for sure. Don't over drive it and it will be good to you. Can never go wrong with Ed's tunes.

Can't get into the 1:25's so far. Stuck at 1:26.2xx for #535. I've had a .6 improvement that goes away in the last two turns, or I bump the wall....

Taking a break for tonight. Need some new QM's.

BMW Z4 M Coupe, install everything except power parts, adjust auto speed spider to 149mph and you should be good to gold
Or any of the other suggestions

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the advice, but I'm actually trying to get gold with any of the cars that I already own.
Tonight I've shifted for the Concept 1 Series tii... Best I've got was a 1m31.4!
I think I can shave half a second of that time, but that is not enough. Any advice?

Just make laps... Do not follow the driving line to the letter if you use it. Watch some of the top 10 replay laps. Learn where to push, and where to take it easy.

Take corners too fast, learn the true limit speed, instead of relying on a line turning red. Do exploratory laps like that then go out there and nail that gold. Then see how fast you can go...

I found the Series 1 easier to drive fast by adding ballast in back to get a 49/51 balance. More rear weight adds traction on power and entry steering off power. Gearing is important as well, to minimize wheel spin. I geared up(lower numbers) in 1st thru 3rd and set 4th and 5th based on certain corners and their speeds, with 6th gear for straight line speed just a few hundred rpm off the rev limiter.
Also up shift early to reduce wheel spin, but not so early that is bogs the engine. This takes the most amount of practice.

Try some setups that others have come up with. I sometimes do my own, sometimes use others. What ever is faster when testing lap times.
The last thing is, learning the turns where your brain wants you to lift, but the track doesn't need you to. This makes a huge difference.

Sorry for the long post.

Just had another good hour driving, managed to claw it down to 1:25.119 to put me 11th, that's until all the aliens arrive!

lol. how to drive like these aliens?

From the replays, we have same driving lines and braking points, but they tend to rotate the car at the last moment and get on the gas earlier. or am I missing something?

Mwah the ''aliens'' are fast that for sure, But the most have a steering wheel and play the game a long time.

1:25.119 is a ''good'' time I think? Nothing wrong with that, Not everybody can be the best, Thats why whe call that dudes aliens :lol::lol:
