Wow, I just moved from 15th to 6th (108.467) and first time in the top ten. Hard work and practice really do pay off. And heck I'm 52, that might be a record of some sort. Anyway, I owe a lot to the community here. Although I don't contribute much, I'm on here several times a day looking for helpful tips etc. Also, pretty cool to see three Americans in the top 10. C'mon WhoGirl!

Don't start

Yeah, that's the stuff that takes you to insane asylum in no time! AKA "the next tenth" syndrome

Naah, always go for it, just don't worry about it if you don't get it!! Great time any way

Mean people suck!!!!

My nephew was playing on the account I created and this popped up....

View attachment 265723

Only place I mentioned anything about that account was here so this is for you...

6 laps with a crying 7 year old in my ear......bite me!!!
Hahahahh way to go  I'd pay to see the guys face ATM sending you that BS  What a dork

Congratulations Nebularis!! :)

I couldn't bring myself to register another account time but, I sure thought about it, lol. I will be home tomorrow night so I hope to try and add to the fun.

Improved 5 thousands in a quick session... So I guess that now we are almost twins. ;)

That 5 thousands were enough to get into top20. I hope that I'll remain there until the end of the seasonal, but I seriously doubt it :nervous:

Well done, sir! I hope I have time to try to squeeze 6 thousandths out of this thing!

Hehe. I made another stint after work and improved a little bit more. Today I had a really good day at driving! Now on 16th place of the world. Fingers crossed to remain amongst the top20.

Hope you find time and improve to be up there with your "twin". Keep fighting mate!👍

Had another go at this one this morning, After not being to play GT 6 on my other Ps3, To see if i could improve.

Finally i beat the 1:10, and put me in the top 200, and all thanks @SW__10 for the tune and the ghost lap.View attachment 262907

And guess what I did.

Might of drop down couple off places, but I don't care this is the highest I have ever been on the leaderboard.

Cobra Daytona Coupe '64. Bone stock (even the brake balance), No assists, no ABS, Cockpit View, H-shifter. No race data, no ghosts.

I'm stuck at Bronze. Who can Gold this?
she arrow_outline_pink_down 33.png probably can

I try every now and then, and it ends up frustrating me. Slower street cars I can do ok when shifting but, with racecars trying to shift throws off my rhythm. I am getting better at it and I do practice when I do the A-spec seasonals.
I use driving line and automatic gears as often as possible, wish we had a semi-auto gearbox as an added option for all cars, some really have one IRL.

My right and left hands are already busy multitasking like crazy so adding anything else creates a system meltdown, lol. I have all the respect for all of you that can shift and left foot brake, I struggle badly with it.
Don't have shifting paddles on your wheel and multiple fingers on your hands? we're (mostly) men here, remember? multitasking is a no-no for us lol. C'mon Girl you can do it!

I brought a USB with my game save but it was corrupt and would not upload so I had to make another account.
it's possible to use your save on your brother's ps3 by rehashing it with the help of free software. I could help with that, if you ever need.

@everyone
Watch out, leaderboard here I come! done with the Toyota 7, Furai and the other race cars I fancy, on to the TS030 and Chaps2J now. just kidding (hopefully not), I think I once made a top 100; anything under a 1'10 would top my friends list, including @jontikis who's got to be one of the best controller-only GT6'ers!

I'm fairly sure after flying home today there is no way I'm going to feel like playing so I followed @soupcan's suggestion and made a Whoosier account on my brothers PS3. Did just enough to get my license to do the seasonal and ran two of the Sierra events to make money to buy the Toyota.

Should have just left well enough alone. I'm not sure if it was adding the chassis reinforcement (which I normally never add but for some dumb reason I decided to) or I bought a lemon TS030 but I couldn't get a feel for the car.

I did go a little over a tenth faster (1:08.704) but still .3 off of my best unregistered time :(. Oh well, it was worth it, I did get to used a steering wheel stand for the first time and I am officially a GT rookie again until I get back home, lol.

@WhoosierGirl I tried the chassis reinforcement and found I couldn't get within .250 of my best time.
I bought another TS030 and then I was lapping much closer....still didn't improve on my PB though .

I hope you do feel like having another go....
......it would only take you a few laps to destroy your current time 👍

Good luck to anyone still pushing on this one!

Yiissss! 1:08.169 which is good for 2nd, and first with the Toyota. With 2 and half hours left, I hope no one beats it:). It's been a good battle with Viruskiller999. We've been swapping places for a couple days, but since he's in Italy, I hope he's sleeping now:P.

Still having a crack at this one. Have been stuck on 1:10.244 @# 323 for about a week now. Did a few laps last night after a few sherberts and managed to get in front of Cargo, Zona and Nowcontrol (my leaders) at times but could never get it all together to finish. Those blokes are all in the 1:09's.

PS, don't drink in the day time so can't get any help there unfortunately.
Will have a final try now.

Crikey, improved to 1:10.070 @ #252 with still tenths left behind.

PPS...Did it, 1:09.928 ..@ pos# 210. :)

All finished now, I can put the clothes on the line. Happy with my final attack here.

I'm sure you are all interested to know I am the fastest in Australia using buttons and the 8th fastest overall in OZ, as well as the 8th fastest in the world using buttons.

Anyone else locally saved replays show erratic steering behavior in cockpit view?
I quote myself, needed to get myself into top 10 in the end to see if online saved replays are smoother steering and they are. I guess it is a bug for locally saved replays.

Quite fun TT, although I haven't played GT6 much recently, good to see I can sort of keep up. Thanks to @SW__10 and @Mini Stiggy which are setups I ended up using. I luckily saw the following thread and saw there is tune from Mini Stiggy: Link

It helped transform the setup to be on the nose which is what I wanted, with SW__10 setup, I first tried lower rear downforce which made the front end more responsive for me but ended up losing too much time in last sector. I ended up using 5 more rear downforce in the end until late on, switched to hybrid of Mini Stiggy and SW__10 setup which was a lot more pointy and allowed me to use even more rear downforce which helped me in the last part of the lap. I also ended up using maximum brake balance due to extra grip.

I wonder what setup Mini Stiggy used in the end as watching his laps, it will be max potentially but I didn't like the handling as the rear became too strong and don't know much about tuning to change handling or had enough time to experiment. I was surprised how much changing one differential setting makes as I originally stuck with SW__10 settings for that but ended up copying Mini Stiggy's Acceleration Sensitivity and it seemed to transform the car into a rocketship for that setup.

Feel the car was probably good enough to be rank number 1, going by sector times I managed and maybe a few tweaks of setup, maybe good enough to go even a couple more tenths faster.

My start of the lap was awful, something like nearly two tenths off after the first three corners and was close to restarting until I had a very good exit to end of first sector. My best first sectors were only in the .7s although this lap wasn't, I think if you nail first sector, maybe something like a .5 is possible. Anyway my main problem ended up being the last high speed chichane, which I messed up a lot on good laps. It seems so tricky as you need to use brakes enough to get enough energy stored and use enough throttle to keep minimum speed up and get change of direction without it boosting until you want it and then getting good traction.

Think it is my first top 10 finish in GT6 getting 6th place and before its first year of release so reasonably happy about that and quite awesome to get top UK spot. The tune below with credit given for the settings if anyone is interested in trying it out.

Great job:tup:. For the last 2 days I had switched to my setup, with SW's gears.

Out of interest, did you use max rear downforce? Using data logger, I see often comparing laps to say your fastest ones and it seems I'm usually neck and neck with you approaching the last sector but you gain a bit on the right hander on finishing of second sector and on the first left of the third sector? Well done on improving your time and getting second spot 👍.

Oh. No I'm using 800 rear max front.

so is the FG 2.600 or 2060? I can't really reach those values you're giving, my max for 2nd gear is 4.659, max for 3rd is 3.385, 4th 2.596, 5th 2.084 and 6th 1.750...

@redsuns23 It's both! :P.

Assuming you have all power parts the same, just follow through the trans instructions in order.
Make sure you go back to default trans settings first. Then set 2.600 FG, max speed min, set gears in order and to finish off, set the FG to 2.060 👍

Hope it works for you! 👍
