Gears default, Then 270 km/h. then the gears and then the final to 3,630.

Yes i do a oil change. I using the full ballast i think, on +50%. I'm not sure.

This is funny: In both tt's I'm one of the fastest in the end. I don't know what i'm doing good in the last sectors. Maybe it is my AT gears?

Sorry for the dubble post.

Latest episode for my little series "Fantastic cars and where to drive them" :dopey:

Many thanks to GTPlanet, before reading this forum I had never thought to drive unusual cars in seasonal TTs :gtpflag:

Done a 1.19.5 which is poor, but I just can't beat it :banghead::banghead:. Any help out there with a setup that might help improve that. Have people been grinding this washing machine? i'm lost. ebrake???

Would be happy with a mid 1:19 but even though I improved some thenths today I'm stuck at 1:20,671 and Pos # 392.
That is still among the best 1% of all drivers which is not bad for an old geezer, but evidently could be better, if I just knew the right setup (mainly gears [again]) as I'm sick and tired of seeing you pulling away from me!

But at least I'm not one of those who keep their setups secret, I still use good old Praiano's setups which you can find below. Feel free to choose the one which fits you best. I, however, use # 329 (the first one below as it seems to fit my driving best. Of course you have to adjust the limiter to come to 600PP only.

Ahhh... and I'm not changing oil any more, so I'm sort of grinding cars down if you will, since I found out that this is increasing HP's. I've got 467,7 BHP @ 870 kg's carrying 49 kg's ballast in pos +43.

Couldn't let ol' mate on my friends list beat me by under a tenth just because I was running TS030, so jumped in the 2J on a DS3 and got to 1:18.702 after about 30 minutes to take 27th.
Tried to improve but found a brick wall called understeer so I'll have to jump on wheel and try tweaking it to get near a low 18, but I'd be happy with 18.3-18.5.
Sad to give up the TS030 lead spot, would have liked to get it to 1:19.0 or 1:18.9 but it was far more challenging than I had the patience for.

Got 1:18:923 using this setup on thrustmaster t300 rs ...

Will give this setup ago later brother ps good time 👍

I'm a full 5 sec behind most you. Fun new track for me. The gold extremely easy but shaving time not so much... Stuck at 1:22:680. Gearing & cornering need work & rightly so, but sadly, don't have the time to dedicate to it. Will try again soon to improve. Next goal, to bust 1:21.

The seasonals are truly enjoyable. Much Love folks...

@phineas777 @nowcontrol @coryclifford @Cevedale @Retiree @Baron Blitz Red @Daduce1947

This is the first time I have ever enjoyed driving the Red Bull Ring! Also the first time in about 2 years that I was happy to survive reaching position 6,500! Only ABS with stick steering, stick throttle and manual gears.

If you like horror movies, try this. (DS3 tune.)

Stats
600pp
666bhp
1006kg
75.6kgfm

Suspension
90 80 (seems better in Turn 2 than previous 75 65)
10.39 8.89 (better than 10.89 8.89, rear is softest for traction and front is set for max rotation I can handle)
1 2
2 1 (not sure quite what this stagger does but the car felt more stable)
7 7
0.0 0.0
-0.05 0.00

Racing Brakes
4 7 (better than 3 1 or 3 4 or 5 5 or 4 6 for me)

Drivetrain
7 (better than 8)
5
14 (better than 25 and 20 and 12)

Power
No oil change
100% power limiter
High RPM Range Turbo
(You could oil change then add more ballast. Or use Power Limiter to flatten the power spike a bit.)

Body
Maximum downforce (helps the braking a lot!!!)
Ballast: 8kg
Position: -50%

Gearbox
Not sure how I got this, probably normal tranny trick.
Final Gear: Unknown
Max Speed: 220km/h (min)
1: 2.625 (Turn 2 only, 90% gas)
2: 1.900 (Turn 1, 2 and 3 only but Turn 1 is OK in 3rd if you keep spinning out)
3: 1.500
4: 1.225
5: 1.000
Final Gear: 3.425 (not quite hitting rev limiter into Turn 2 about 270km/h)
Brake about 30% earlier than in prototype cars. 150m, 150m, 150m, 75m, 125m is working for me. A light touch at corners without markers. Slightly overlap throttle with brake to make turn-in better. (I don't know why.)

Think I'm just ahead of @nowcontrol at sector 1 timing split! But then the corners happen.

Don't have nightmares...

BenMillard Thanks mate that about wrecked my day. I have a thing where I pick a car, leave it as it is and do two laps. One of the first I picked for this TT was the 69 GT40 and got a 1.26.3XX then a 00 Raybrig nsx 1.26 .4xx and I can't remember the third but it was 1.26.5xx, I was happy with that.
Then I read your challenge and thought I can do that. I used that tune and that 's where the nightmare started. I think I had 8 attempts before I got a complete lap,1.30.xxx, and I was knackered. To make matters worse my wife decided to hop on her exercise machine which is right behind my seat and watched me. Now she reckons my new set up and wheel was probably a waste of money. Been a bad day!!:cheers:

@Guvna1974 been almost half a second up on my time with your tune but keep 🤬 folding like a kid that got slapped by brock lesnar in the last section ahhhhhhh

U running wat weight on the 2j ? ...I was having the same problem at 79kg and 84kg.....Managed to sort it out when i added the extra weight....

how much bhp are you running mate

Im getting 496bhp with 88kg no oil change and ballast position at +50
