ALMS Season V

Yes for me, and I think 110% is still slow. For example, if the time leader is 1.20.000 (100%), the drivers have to.... 1.28.000 (110%), 8 seconds slower. I think even the most slow driver is gonna do it!!

Anyone running a Test Session later today? Ill be on tonight. Im home by 6 pm eastern. I need to make sure my Vette is within specs for this series.

Ok good. Most likely Ill join into the series after Monaco. I just want to make sure I can do well.

The OP hasn't been updated in quite a while, we're actually in our penultimate race this Friday!

Yep, Stormy has the latest update. The author of the OP had to step away because of time contraints. :( But Gatrs is the creator of the series. So if you need something with a definite answer he would be the one to go to.

AT&T has been contacted, 3.1 MB/S here I come!
Been getting 80 kb/s and we were rated for 700 kb/s. So that puts me at a little over 320 kb/s. And supposedly no more intermittent connections.
YouTube, Battlefield, Gran Turismo, iRacing, rFactor, AT THE SAME TIME.
Starting Thursday.
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I'm happy, I don't care if it's still below average. 480p is still better than 240.

I have 3mb/s... if all Apple products are off. Those 🤬 turn my connection from 3.0 to 0.5mb/s. I hate Apple for this.

From my experience, Apple products are bandwidth hogs. Never liked them anyways. At least someone else here knows what Linux is.

We need to drag TT13 and change that OP. Where are you?

EDIT: I have also placed the standings in my signature, on the fourth line. It will say "Race Standings".

Any word on if the specs are going to change any? With the tire wear being fixed, other LMP's don't need 20hp more than others. Especially with the upcoming tracks being high speed.

I don't have much say in that department. But I'm sure the specs may get an overhaul for next season at least. Hopefully.

Even in GT? :scared:

A few GT tweaks, nothing that would affect you. LMP will be different.
I have no plans to change LMP specs this season unless something radical happens at Nurb GP. Next season will be better, I promise.

I personally think GT specs are perfect, except for the Evora. It runs at 480, it'll be even against the others on the tires, but it'll be 3-5 tenths faster. If it runs at 460-70, it'll be 2 tenths faster while getting more tire life. If it runs at 450, it gets 5 laps better tire life. Looks like weight will be the deciding factor in this car.

I think the specs in the beginning were fine for the LMP's. The Pescarolo's were a little faster (more power) because they weren't as good in the handling. They were eating tires faster too, but that changed when I got 10kg extra. Then it changed more when the new tire wear took over. I don't think the lmp's should have changed. The Toyota could do with the 510hp because Sin isn't getting the most out of the car. That's just certain drivers and certain cars. I tested all the LMP's before the season and they were all equal at most of the tracks we run.

Shorter courses tend to give me trouble in lmps but if you look at the longer tracks I was much closer to the pace.

With the new tire life, we can bring back the BMW for next season right? Tez figured something out with the car to make it more competitive when he used it.

FYI I have Time Warner and I have a 10 Mbps connection and wired, so I should be good.

Hey guys sorry I've been MIA, no time for GT5 lately...been playing rfactor exclusively.

I got 3rd :) Almost second, but last moment brain fart and I tapped the wall just enough to get repassed in the final lap and a half...

Had a 2nd/3rd battle going on for the final 10 or so laps. Wow, what a race!
