ALMS Season V

here ya go-
tirewear.jpg

If this translates to online, it will be awesome.

Notice I used almost a quarter of a tank of fuel and the times were stable as the tires were. Like irl where the times stabilize as the fuel levels come down but the tires give sightly in their ultimate grip.

You sort of get that with the old tire wear. I tried that in Madrid last race where my fuel was lower, I would race with hard tires in half-low fuel, and the pace evened out until the tires gave away.

Online isn't working at the moment, but I'm sure the new tire wear will transfer online as well. Theres no reason for it not to.

Did some testing post this update. The cars are about the same still. The 908s are really good in turning. The Pescarolo is still way fast on the straights. The 908s are fast too, seems like the torque is more noticeable now. It's great with the tire wear being lessened. After some practice I was able to get all the LMP's in the 1:15's at Laguna, except the Audi R10. It was in the 1:17's :( That car is some piece of work. The Pescarolo and Toyota were fastest for me. I think people should try their tunes out some more, I was able to get 1:14's with the Toyota and Judd GV5. Low 1:15's with the 908 and my Bentley.

I did manage 1.17s in the toyota times here seem simalar to madrid although I feel Ill be faster here than madrid all I did was adjust my top speed so lots of work to still be done on my setup.

I havent tested at Laguna yet. I'll add weight to the car for the race. But with the new tire wear update, I can only see myself stopping once for tires. Twice if I want to play it safe.

Well, I got on for some testing tonight. I was thinking I could get by with my tune from Madrid. But it had a ton of oversteer. Simple tuning and shes in the 1:24's. Hopefully thats where the rest of the field is.

I know I said I would take the weight up but its only got room for two kg's of ballast left. So I lowered the power from 464 to 450. The car was in the 440's after the Madrid race. If this doesnt stabilize the field I will have to build a new one so I can add more weight.

Yeah, GT's should be around 8-10 seconds slower than LMP. Maybe next season we could add power to the LMP's back since the tire wear is improved.

Looks like the WEC will not be at Sebring this coming year. They will be in Austin in Sept. So p....ed right now. Glad I went this past year to Sebring. Looks like Sebring will differently be a Nascar track!!

Laguna Seca. And werent you just on the Sarthe 24?
Thanks.

Nah, I was specing the Furai for when I was ready to tackle Le Mans 24 after the update. I think I've got a setup that works now. The 9-hr Tsukuba was one of those things I thought of in a spur of the moment. I got a car, wanted to break it in, but thought that I might as well break it in and add another A-Spec event to my tally.

Currently 2 laps up in a NSX RM '91, 294 bhp and 1045 kg after 412 laps in 7 hours.

According to their facebook page, they're not putting it on the calendar but are leaving a window of time for teams that want to compete at Sebring.

Just make sure to finish by by race time tonight. I think you have to finish it before you can do anything else.

Can someone PM me their speed2 log in details? My dishnetwork account isn't working and I'd really like to watch a race that's on right now.

Also, it's looking good for tonight for me. I should be there.

I finished the 9 hours with 529 laps. Now then, onto business... Mass Reset of everything, clear cache then testing!

Currently playing GTA 3. Just downloaded from the PSN and played it for old times sake!

I'll set up the room around 8 pm EST. I'm exited because of the reduced tire wear!
