Well, it can't obtain MORE data than spying, but it makes them EASIER to obtain it. I mean, isn't it harder to spy on someone than just read their status updates and find all about them?
FloatsWhy would the government want to know about my beer s***?
So how come you don't read the news?
Anonymous isnt going to succeed in shutting down the cia run surveillance programme.
It's worth noting though that I do not support any type of terrorism, yet I think this is not such an act. I don't believe that this is not intended to scare the public, but quite the opposite. That or the poor hackers just want some attention.
dhandesWould get my vote (just to see everyone panic). The old fashioned way of meeting people down the pub or ringing them up to speak to them, is quickly becoming forgotten.
I'd have to assume that anyone who doesn't mind or supports it would also not mind or support it if GTPlanet got hacked too. No difference as far as I'm concerned.
Will it include webcam hacking software?
I hope they can see exactly what I am doing Right Now.
Get wasted, do something stupid, discuss it for weeks.I hope they can pull it off so I finally have a topic to talk about other than my damn projects for university!
That's in GTP12.
If facebook shuts down alot of facebook people will cry, as they will have nothing to do.
TankAss95The time is near.
I don't use Facebook, or any other social networking site. People cannot understand why I don't use such websites. I just don't see the point. I contact my friends through other methods (phone, PSN, email, etc). I think Facebook consists of too many people that are too nosy along with too many people who show off their belongings or boast about how great they are etc. Just attention seeking. I have saw this though friends accounts. It's just not for me.
Although I have no contact with the website, I would like to see this hack being successful, purely for the public response. I also am not a conspiracist, but I do have the belief that this may very well be true. Government or not, too much info is out there.

nikyRemoving the ability of others to exercise their free speech is not an exercise of free speech. It's a form of censorship.
Any support for anysuch move is implicit support of fascism.
Chariots0fFireI laughed so hard at that.
But yeah, I support the Anons on this task.
Just last night, by chance, I found someone who's profile had a picture of me as their profile photo. You tell me if that's creepy?
*ibo* S3 RacerI think anon can do good stuff and bad stuff.
This I would consider good, if even alone the fact to make some people realize who addict they are to FB.
I am against facebook with every fiber of my body, so yes
I just can't stand Zuckerberg and his face, and let's face it. He was lucky nothing else. The masses could also have choosen an other social network. And so "his" idea wasn't the brand new revolution as he makes it, it existed before and in a great number: badoo, hi5, myspace,...

I doubt there are people that only do Facebook all day and every day.
