We're yet to store all of your personal information whether you want us to or not, build our own profiles of you and your friends (whether they have GTP accounts or not) with face-recognition software and sell them on to advertisers, or whomever takes our fancy.

When i wake up i wake my pc from sleep was i am relogged into GTP and my pc stays on until i go to bed which is about 18 hours or so.

Truth... people do stupid things in many stupid ways through many stupid means. Just because some people abuse Facebook doesn't make it the worst thing to ever happen to humanity. That distinction belongs to the internet as a whole. Child porn? Ogrish.com? Instructions on how to make IEDs? Sex trafficking? Pedophilia? Terrorist attack coordination? You find none of the above on Facebook.

It should stay down IMO

Turn off GTPlanet forever and see how you feel about that. Not that I can't live without Facebook... indeed I'm on it about half-an-hour every week... but it's amusing how some people are so vitriolic over a bulletin board simply because everyone else uses it.

Stupid people are stupid. Kids can avoid it by not using it...

Say a man committed suicide by driving his BMW off a cliff, should we all boycott BMW?

Or if a kid committed suicide because people teased him for driving a Kia....

People get scammed on their e-mails and telephone lines too... Should we get rid of those?

We shouldn't let the decision of idiots effect the rest of us.
