Why wouldn't you want prize money?

Id rather credits for being in the hunt in GT championships, instead of having to grind out some event in offline mode against some brain dead AI

To be fair, I thought he meant real actual prizes at first, if I knew he had meant in game credits right off the bat, I wouldn’t have even said anything. I have all the cars in game exact 4 now, so I don’t really care about credits.

There's at least 15 trophies given in a season, all of which are as historic as Lord Stanley's cup, so you're quite off the mark there. You keep going on about one-dimensional accolades though, it's a funny read.

No they’re not, don’t kid yourself. The Stanley Cup is the only one that really matters. Players don’t jump ship and switch teams every year at the end of their careers trying to win a Norris or Rocket trophy, they do it for a Cup only.

Hi..I have a question about Ford in the manufacturer series. Why can't I pick the Gr3. Mustang? It only highlights the Gt40 for Gr3. Am I missing something. Ty
My understanding is that each Manufacturer now only offers one model from each category as a sponsored car, but you are still free to use any other Gr.3/Gr.4 models in your garage as long as they're from the same make. In Ford's case, only the Gr.4 Mustang and GT Race Car '18 are sponsored models, but that wouldn't stop you from using the Gr.3 Mustang or either of the earlier GT LMs if you already have those.

Weather is going to be a factor at N24. Drizzle on my second practice lap. It started as I crossed the start line and by the time I was at the carousel the surface water meter was well into the middle third.

Could be absolute mayhem if this happens in race as you may have 5-6 minutes of nursing slicks over a wet surface. Tyre strategy may decide points rather than pace.
is the weather in the first slot in EU or US the same as in the first slot in Asia (same with 2nd,3rd slot et cetera) or is it all completely random?

Just ran first slot in Asia. A few beers in so I stay at the back and take a steady line for qualifying. Q11 to start I'm my trusty old Jag. We have a clean start but get bunched up heading on to the nord section and I'm coasting a bunch of the time. Heading into the miss-hit-miss section (or the reverse, I can never remember what it is) someone in front gets it all wrong entering and is slow on the inside so I go to the outside. Exiting the last bit they push me into the wall, and as I brake the simply cut in front and brake as well. It's a mess, but I don't know that I was in the wrong, I went outside to avoid them in the first place and wasn't pushing. But it is what it is.

I climb on to the rear bumper of p7 by the end of lap 2, but despite braking early I must have clipped a curb or something as we brake for the end corners of lap 2 and the unsettled car simply refuses to stop. In to the wall, luckily without catching the other car and I drop back to p9. Stuck there for the rest of the race as I have a sloppy lap 3 when we get a half a lap of rain and finish the race p9 with roughly 15 seconds to the car ahead and the same gap behind.

The race finishes too late to run the next slot so it's only every other slot for you guys that like to run multiples. Good luck and keep it smooth

I really don’t understand why when BOP is on we do not have an adjustment for brake balance, Tonight’s race at the 24 hours Nürburgring for the manufacture series , Is a perfect example why we need brake balance. Under High speed breaking the Nsx gr3 steps out but If you’re able to adjust the brake balance it is easily fixed, in all real racing all driver adjustment brake balance.

Slot 1 Asia. Vantage. Q6, P9. Rained on lap 3, I was in p5, touched the kerb on the exit to the right hander after bergwerk and spun. Dropped to p10. No spin and I would have finished p4.

177 points.

The Vantage is sooo slow in a straight line. I was losing 2.5 seconds to the Supra on the straight.

Is it not delayed due to the FFB bug ?

My FFB is just fine, I don’t think all wheels were effected equally.

Because adjusting BB allows you to slightly undermine the BoP, even if it’s just for tire wear mostly. You’re still altering the car from what the BoP wants it at, not saying the BoP is anywhere near good, but that’s the idea. BB is a form of tuning.

So I just done a practice run in the last Asia slot and it just crazy. Curbs were very slippy for my in M6. Spun out a few times.
So for me it was 2 laps day and 2 laps darks. End of lap 2 I saw a band of rain, so decided I’d pit and swap for inters. Started raining just as I hit the Nordschleife loop and the track didn’t get wet enough for inters as it stop 3mins. Looks like it’s a non stop and just bare the rain and then handle the dark.

Ive picked AMG for my UK account. Its my go to car for GT3 races as Im quick and the handling is great for me. Done a 8.30 on one flying run. Can get that time down for sure. M6 I did 8.42, but had a few small errors and lost maybe 10 seconds

Just doing some practice laps and the rain is so unpredictable. In my race it was enough to swap to inters, but in my practice laps now it os inters. Keep an eye out on the radar people

Guess it’s time to get back into this. Haven’t done any “FIA” races since the Miata Tsukuba Championship and haven’t really driven any Gr.4 or Gr.3 cars since the physics update, so no idea which brand to pick. My GTS regular pick Subaru is apparently the META so I won’t go with them, I prefer to use one of the less popular ones.

Fair comment, but it was excluded from BoP and allowed in GT Sport and it is also allowed in GT7 Circuit experience. Personally, I also do miss the option to use it if only to restore some driveability to the more high powered cars. About to demonstrate this by entering Slot 1 :D

I think CE is just stock cars, they don’t use BoP I don’t think. My guess is that they saw how much people could effect the cars in Sport by tweaking BB, and decided to cut it out for 7, to make them completely non adjustable with BoP. But that’s just my guess.

Good news... I'm starting in the Top 5.

Bad news... the game hasn't recognised that the last car in my lobby has set a time, so we have another minute to stare at the results table...

Pro tip, don't do what I just did. I haven't used my Gr.3 Vantage in a race before and haven't played GT7 for a few weeks so I forgot to buy tyres. Had to pit at the end of lap 2 due to it starting to rain, ended up quitting the race immediately after after discovering I was screwed. :banghead:

So we had rain for the last lap and literally 4 of us pitted for inters (including @timekiller001 )

Well done.

Mine had rain last lap too, I even checked the radar & it was clearing up so didn't go in despite thinking I should, I don't think anyone in my race pitted - it was carnage. It took me over 3 minutes to get out of the race track bit!
