Are you sick of the "I have a mature life" argument?

And let me say that I busted my ass for 18 years working 6 days a week for 10 or 12 hours, working hard to be self employed one day. It's not like I got some magical gift of free time.

Good for you, it is something to definitely be proud of. However, posting something as condescending as you did in your OP, is just ignorant. Not everyone on here is fortunate enough to be self employed, or have as much free time as you do.

Well, yes. I did my due diligence to unlock the game because it was my only option.

Had there been an "unlock everything, unlimited money" cheat I would of done that day 1. I didn't buy the game to race, I have no dillusions that I could be anything more then a mediocre racer. I bought the game to dink around with cars and tune them. I use the excuse "I have a life away from GT" for the purpose that I don't really have time to grind out millions of dollars a week to buy a car...but this trade embargo on cars over 1million pretty much kills any chance I have of continually buying the upper echelon of cars for the sole purpose of tuning them.

Basically what I am saying is in some circumstances it isn't an excuse that is completely unwarranted. I played the game properly to save up $20 million dollars, at which point I could buy any car I wanted, trade, restore and trade back without losing the money. Now they took away my ability to do this. Thus my excuse that GT will slowly wither out for me as I have too much going in real life to make more $$ on GT then I spend.

I don't understand these arguments that people should be entitled to whatever they want in a game without earning it. I always thought that was the point of the game...or any game. Maybe Kaz needs to institute some sort of socialist welfare program, so people who aren't as fortunate (or have other things to do) can have everything they expect, much like in real life in the US unfortunately.

Personally I'm sick of the brain dead apologists for a game that is 40% excellent 60% pile of complete excrement.

Here diesel have a super special extra trophy from me, I'm so impressed that you've dedicated so much of your life to this game. <Hint> the trophy is shaped like a blokes dangly bits...hope you enjoy it.

Yea, since what happens and what you expect in a video game directly reflects the social norm of real life....:dunce:

If that were the case in any FPS when you die in the game a hit squad should knock on your door and take your life. Since you know, video games are serious business.

Thank you for understanding my sarcasm related to how ridiculous the sense of entitlement in this game has gotten.

The only sense of entitlement in this game is people who want access to EVERYTHING the game has to offer, without having to give up real life things (you know, things that matter) or having to be some sort of super race car driver (originally to unlock Nurburgring in arcade you needed to gold a specific event).

Oh I'm sorry for wanting to be able to play everything in the game. I don't pay 8 bucks to watch a movie but am told I have to complete another task to see the last 20 minutes...

Jealous slaves?? Dude when you worked your ass off to get to where you are did you have time for everything?

I tell you about me: I wake at 6 and walk the dog, get back and unload the dishwasher then get my 3 kids breakfast. Get myself breakfast and cleanmyself up, pack up for work. I am self employed and work alot harder and longer than my staff. So I leave home at 715am. Get home at about 530, playtime with kids then dinner. Clean kitchen while wife gets kids to bed. It's now 8pm and I need to walk the dog. It's now 830ish at night. I have about half an hour of work to do to close the day/month. It now just after 9 and the wife and I haunt spent anytime together because it has been busy. If I'm lucky I get to crank up gt for an hour or so but 3 out of 5 the tv is on and wife and I are spending quality time together. So that takes me to the weekend. I'm not even going to go into it but it is just as mad. I have motor bikes that I like to ride, rc planes that I like to fly. I have my pilots license and occasionally we fly.

So please tell me how I have time to do every thing?? Playstation is not my priority like it is for some.

To be honest, not that much time of course, but I played my video games. I've been playing since I was a kid. They are part of my life.

The difference: Maybe I would have the GT5 profile I have today in 3 years, not in 3 months, but I would not whine about that.

About your schedule, dude, I would get rid of the dog, and get a cat. :D

Now, I understand, but people rarely consider that in Mexico A LOT of people work as "domestics", "gardeners", "maids", "drivers", etc., and it is not a big luxury to hire them, they really charge you very affordable rates. So I guess that helped too in my case.

"Third world" advantages, you know... ;)

First off this game can be very addictive. Secondly, I can understand where these guys are coming from, this game is very long. I am sorry for anyone trying to get all the trophies this game is to long. I got the x2010 at lv 35 bspec and 1 through the vettel challenge and I fell I reach far enough. Anyone that gets all those trophies have my respect. Its good that you guys don't let this game stop you from doing the important things that matter.

Are you guys sick of the "I have a life, a job, a wife, a kid, etc..." argument?

Come on, these guys think they deserve to get an overly easy GT5 just because they "have a life", and always justify their lack of skill for the game with that.

For the info, I'm 37, I have a job, I have a wife, I have two kids, and I'm A-Spec 40 and B-Spec 40 now, with 1226 cars. 99% complete, missing just two trophies, working on the others now... Yeah, no problem, family's cool too, really cool, there is time for everything in life people.

If you are so mature, why bother playing "kids" stuff?

I'm really sick of that argument, really. Too bad, you "grown ups" just discovered modern video games yesterday...

GT5 is awesome, yes, flawed, illogical, but awesome in the final balance, you should try a bit harder, or maybe even your kids can help you out... ;)

So maybe you're better at GT5 than family... good for you. Maybe having a wife and two kids to you, is just like having 1226 cars, just an achievement. Maybe some people spend an hour in the game, and the rest of the day working and having a family life... good for them. You have a wife and two kids... what do they have?

Just because you have all that, doesn't mean you're good at all that. If you can manage to dedicate that much time to a game, then maybe you went for the "easy family life" instead of the "easy game".

Bottom line is, whatever you have in your life, is irrelevant to what other people have. If you think you're better at GT5 because you can avoid spending enough time in real life, then maybe your family wishes you were rubbish at GT5. Don't lord it over people, for getting their priorities right. Your "look at me" statement won't be impressing anyone, except you.

Perhaps your kids can help you out with prioritising your life better.

I'm sick of threads like this one appearing. If you don't like someone's arguement/logic, then just disagree with them. We don't need a whole thread breaking down "I hate when people say..."

Honestly, why do you even care?

Just wait until there is a poll asking if people are sick of the threads complaining about the complaints of the people who complain about the complainers.

If you have read many of the OPs posts or threads you would realize that nothing he says can be taken seriously. He cannot be over 13-14 years old, at least in maturity, he may be older chronologicaly. This is your typical kid with no friends (understandably) who uses the internet and forums like this to get some kind of attention. If people would just ignore him he would soon go away and find other victims.

^^ Don't feed the trolls!

The troll created a 6 page thread, I think it's a bit too late for that unfortunately.

I know I'm as guilty as anyone else of troll feeding, but I think we need more moderators around here. An enormous percentage of threads are either complaining about a game feature, or people complaining about complaining. Usually the same 3 or 4 features. Incredibly hard to find something worthwhile to read.

I know this is off-topic, but honestly, you might just want to check out some other GTP Forums, or consider going Premium. The Infield is a great read, and there are a lot of other threads on this site that are worth a look. 👍

Just read some dude complain about the limit for trading.
Some guy say that he should actually play the game.
Some other guy reply saying" well most of us have lives and other stuff to do."
Had to make a comment on this thread
You have a Bob for a reason

I second that. And for the love of god stop replying to this guy, please guys... :scared:

Wow! This is an awesome post!👍

No kids and I have only taken the disc out of the PS3 one time in the last 3 months.

I am only level 29/25, and have about 250 cars.

Being out of the house for work 12 to 14 hours a day is my excuse. I'm glad they gave me the opportunity to move along quickly if I want.
