I think this looks ok. This is how Brands Hatch looks on my system using the default CSP config.

bh_before.jpg

This is after some tweaks to the config and some texture changes. Still needs a little work, but it's getting there. At least the colors have some depth to them.

SMP Racing's Sochi Autodrom has been updated: mountains and (some) trees added.

Few months ago i updated ALL of their tracks (with the usual stuff). I've sended all to them and they allowed me to release as standalone updates instead merging them with their releases (they just remembered me yesterday asking if there's a particular reason about the fact i didn't release anything yet... Ops, sorry, i almost forgot about it and things needs some update-check right now).

I also did NRing but (at least on my pc) the performace were terrible, so i still waiting from an update from them.

Does this fix it? https://www.mediafire.com/file/ae3a18l28k004z3/magny-cours2011_vr_fix.7z/file

its easy, unpack data, go to data in car's folder, open drivetrain.ini and add this

[AUTO_SHIFTER]
UP=
DOWN=80
SLIP_THRESHOLD=0.95
GAS_CUTOFF_TIME=0.3

go to engine.ini, see the parameter "engine data limiter" and you have to put a lower number in "up" than the one that appears there in engine limiter

i dont know how is your config, but my brands isnt like this.
Looks basically like that with any filter I use. Obviously there are some subtle differences depending on the filter, but they all basically lack any kind of color depth. Could be you are using an ext_config file other than the CSP one or maybe a custom track skin. My before pic is the stock track with no track skin and no custom config file. Just the one that gets downloaded by CSP.

1 last skin for the toledo 2k/4k/6k

in the download section as per usual (carlink included)

only took 4 or so hours, nothing special still decent quality but just knocked up to give this car a choice instead of just the 1 skin. I am moving onto my next replica skin now so see how long that takes

does anybody know how to make the windscreen banners visible from the inside? i just noticed that they are not on my skins

Screenshot (121).png

my apologies to anyone who has downloaded the skin:

I made a right mess of it and had my head up my arse, i just noticed that i missed the dunlop stickers on the rear arches so i have sorted that and uploaded a final version over in the downloads section this also has the window fix included so it is now all in 1 package and alot neater with no external links needed. Again sorry for the mess its certainly all a learning experience for me

just adding a pic so you no which car i am talking about

thanks :)

for me this mod goes straight in the bin.
main reasons: brakelights not working, and none-rounded mirrors that look like ones found in Ridge Racer...
(and a whole bunch of other things... prob not worth getting this mod up to level)

if I may give a suggestion: put your effort in making skins for cars that you would give 5 stars
(totally your choice ofcourse ... but this toledo also exists by a author named Claudio, and it has already quite some skins:

(car folder name : seat_toledo_gt)
and these would probably fit the BEM_ one too (as I believe it is derivated from the same mod).

here are some close up pics of claudio's which is clearly overall the worse model of the 2, you can hardly say that claudio's is a well rounded car look at the wing mirror's on it they are just as bad if not overall worse there isn't a rounded edge on it the wing mirrors on claudio's look like a jpeg of a mirror stuck to a completely flat surface its terrible, BE_MODDING's are not much better granted but at least he has managed to give it the perception of depth unlike claudio's. And what's with the felt exhausts on claudio's that are just 1 solid object there is no centre to them? or the front lights they don't even sit in the panel's correctly at least BE_MODDINGS actually sit flush against the panel (see pic to see what i am getting at with claudio's), or the glitchy door trims on claudio's? its bloody awful.

also claudio's skins are all in 144p resolution and look awful so yes they have "skins" but hardly up to 2023 standard so i made a decent quality skin because there were none at all for either model

if you read my OG post (which you may not of done in fairness) i did state that picking between these 2 car's was like picking what std you wanted, neither are great. But its the only 2 car's in the game.

the only plus side on claudio's is that the rear light is in the correct position i will give it that and oddly enough they seem to have the same quality rear lights.........there both not great

and the brake light? they do work (see pics for proof) i just tested it

honestly, the more i look at claudio's the more i am happy and thankfull i did not touch it because skinning that car would of been the wrong choice, even if i could use the skins from claudio's on BE_MODDING's car i wouldn't because they are to low resolution for me personally. They are not the same model exactly they do not swap i just tried as i was intrigued to see if they would swap

to sum up i understand what your saying 100% but for this paticular car it was purely because it had nothing of any quality and above all i needed the practice at doing a replica skin with half decent pictures to work from. We can't have every car in the game with high poly and great detail sometimes we have to work with what we have at the time

Hi everyone,

I'm releasing Long Beach remastered

I have redone most of the shaders , added skidmarks, reflections and more,i have created the missing bridge and fencepoling, overhauled some off the trees and added the missing ones and some other minor changes.
I still don't know (and quiet frankly not really bothered)how to do lightning and rain etc. so if anyone is interested in doing it, i can upload the editor files.

I'm still running at an older CSP so depending on your setup and filter it might look awful and the original long beach wasn't really friendly to the system to begin with and i've only added more polygons, maps and textures to it, so it might struggle to get decent FPS (especially if you run in 4K)

I also dont know if it will work by simply dragging the file into content manager, probably better to just copypaste the folder into the tracks folder manually.

Big thanks to Terra21 and nrms for the original conversion and Reboot team and JohnR from which i borrowed some textures.

Any idea how to get this track to comply and not run at a very poor fps?

I'm usually playing the game at around 90 fps and on just this track, I get drops to under 50 in a few places, and generally under 60, which is very jarring while trying to go fast.

Another finished pack, several versions of Alfa Romeo (late 60s, early 70s) with improvements in textures/shadows, where possible, from our mate "MrHunt".

Three of them, just skins (as most already have the base car and what's more to avoid problems). Below are prints of some versions of the pack.An "IMPORTANT" reminder.

The version of "lm70.75_Alfa Romeo_t33tt3 1972_leMans.targa_f" has 2 ".kn5" files...
when racing at Targa Florio and Brands Hatch change the "lods" file to the corresponding version "tf72_f"

Good fun!!!

ALFA ROMEO - Several versions ( '60-'70 )

Always remembering that the "imported" models are from the "Absolute Le Mans Modding Team" group of the GTR2 simulator

Antoniog7772
Jempy
Marco1990
Saxony
matteo
Der_jaguar
Commodore
Joeschmoe
Prostriker92
almafera
nickM

Another important quote ... cars "ARE NOT COMPLETCONVERSIONS", but "PARTIAL", most of them are imported only the "main body" in the mechanical part (wheels, engine, instrument panel, etc.) , of a "base car".Many skins had to adjust/adapt, because there were not in the original models .... so I researched some photos on the internet and adapted.

Donington Park 2018 Mod

This is an updated version of the test mod I put out a few days ago. Because of the number of changes, it got difficult to do it as a mod to the original track. I made it a standalone track so as not to fool with the original version.
Thanks for the update & really nice work, the track now looks and feels refreshed...

Donington Park Circuit - Replay action-cams

What better way to contribute towards making an improved-mod? Here are some action-cam laps on the GP layout.

note: cams made for Brun's track-mod, and alike variations.

Happy racing!

Fixing the problem with suspensions

I noticed that all my mods have suspension issues, the solution is. You'll need to make a small adjustment in the .ini file,

Here's what you need to do:

1. Locate the .ini File

  • First, navigate to your Assetto Corsa installation directory. Usually, it's something like "assettocorsa\content\cars\car_name\data".
  • Inside this directory, you'll find a file named "car.ini".
2. Open with Notepad

  • Right-click on "car.ini" and choose "Open with" or "Open" and select any text editor program you're comfortable with (Notepad works perfectly).
3. Edit the .ini File

  • Once you have the file open, look for a section labeled "[HEADER]".
4. Change the Version

  • Within the "[HEADER]" section, you'll see a line that says "VERSION=extended-2".
  • Simply change "extended-2" to "1", like this:
5. Save Your Changes

  • After making this change, save the file. Just click "File" and then "Save" in the text editor.
That's it! You've successfully made the necessary adjustment to fix the suspension issues in my mods. Now you should be able to enjoy a smoother and more enjoyable driving experience.

If you encounter any difficulties or have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Hi, can anyone tell me what I should do to fix this defect
in CM showroom you can show the driver model, and then click on "moveable driver".
Press "T" brings up a globe with arrows you can use for moving the driver up/down/forward/back...
You can scale him too by dragging a corner of the cube.

You make all valid points, and I never did say the Claudio version was any better... in fact I deleted it now as well :)
Perhaps some wizards here are willing to give the BE Modding one some extra TLC, and I will hopefully re-install it.
The handling and sounds were quite good already imho.

you do realize by doing this, you would remove extended physics for cars that are built with extended physics.
I think you can simply toggle this as well in CM

For anyone else struggling to find his mods (a:greg doesn't yield anything) , search for "a:no one cares"

@Greg_ST : what will this change exactly?

the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO GT500 is one of my favorites by you, and I gave it 5 stars, not noticing anything wrong with it...

a few more mods from you which have 4.5 or 5 stars in my book:
Nissan 300ZX JGTC
Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 JTCC
Rena Hayami McLaren F1 GTR
Suzuki SX4 rally

in none did I note anything about them having suspension issues...
I will try and see the difference, but can you give me a hint so I know what to look/feel for?

Thanks already and thanks for your wonderful contribution of great mods!
