Fictional skin for F302's Dodge Charger

Choose with or without AO and drag that content folder into CM to install.

(pictured is without_AO)

you need to be a little selective as to where you do patterns/stickers.

car link is in the "overview" tab

On the laser beam thing, someone suggested that it was the exhaust glow... I had laser exhaust on the lotus 47 (wsc legends), so I went into ext-config.ini, searched "glow" to find a section that professed to do that. Commenting that section out seems to have removed the laser beams.

EDIT: Subsequently, the laser appeared on another wscl car that didn't have any glow stuff in its ext-config. I have noticed that the wscl cars are culprits more often than not (recently), for whatever reason. They seem to contain alot of emissive stuff that may be tripping over some csp glitchery...
Does somebody know why, with the URD Loire 07, the AI sometimes had an issue in a bigger field?
Some AI cars freaking out, going full throttle, full wheelspin and instead of backfire it looks like a laserbeam coming out of the exhaust.
Something CSP related maybe?
Yes exactly my observation, I don’t know what’s the problem with CSP…

Fooling around with the vhe_hockenheim track. I forgot how much I like to drive this track. Most things are being done via track skins at the moment so I don't forsee the need to make a separate track. Plus, it will be easy to go back to the stock look if you don't like the changes by simply deleting the track skins. What is being done through the config file are things that people may want even if you don't use the track skins.

-- Config changes include real time car numbers on the digital leaderboard and live jumbotron displays (not shown in the images) as well as track lights when it rains.
-- Track skins include new grass textures, altered normals for the tree shader to fix the weird shadowing and a few ambient and diffuse adjustments.

I still need to work out the grass and tree brightness to try and match how the track looked originally, but I like the changes so far.

Unfortunately vhe_hockenheim is missing the Jim Clark memorial…

Send me the car, would have to look at it.

Am busy with some other cars and tracks which I would really like to get up first.

Hi, is the link ok or do you want the whole car

Could you also deactivate all the other shaders.

It could be a CSP setting.

Did you already try to reset them to defaults?

Goto /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/ rename the "extension" folder to something different.
Restart CM. It will create a new "extension" folder. You can restore it later.
Select Pure as weather style again in CSP weatherFX settings.

I did so. Now the sun is black.

Hey @RMi_wood,

i'm trying to compare the ai lanes for Goodwood, and when i start a weekend race with your Goodwood Vintage, the AI doesn't leave pits. It seems you're using Parrilla's AI fix, but i think there's a missing pit lane somewhere. Just wondering if it's stricly happening on my side or if anyone has encountered the issue as well.

hi Shi, I imagine this is a remnant of the way curved lines were simulated back in 2012 , but this is really a thorn in the eye in 2024 imho ... Could you smooth them out?

EDIT: in the change log i see in 1.15 "Smoothed curbs" , so maybe the video is pre-1.15 ...

I will give the track a try later this evening. Cheers and thanks!

(works with LMU as well)
Works for me with any other SIM.
Most of the time when driving AC, which is what I mostly do, I think to myself, why am I even bothering keeping any of the others on my drives. But then, there is a comment somewhere, an article, an update and I start thinking, I should try that. It is not that other SIM have no value, they do, but my AC, in VR is so good, so complete, so entertaining, that all others are always missing something important to me that AC provides.

Ac is not perfect, so when only driving AC, there is always eventually something that is a little bugging, trying something else for a few minutes cures that in seconds and recharge my passion for AC.
For me, no other SIM does or offer anything that AC does not do and AC does all that any other do in one extraordinary package.

Extra bonus: The extraordinary package improves daily thanks to the relentless efforts and passion of an army of dedicated individual sharing the same passion.

Fun fact: Daily average player count on Steam for AC 8,500, other sim, even when considered a success, less than a 1,000.

Lines appear to merge properly. No other reports of this.
1. Please try with a Kunos car.
2. be sure the only 2 files in the ./ai folder are fast_lane.ini and pit_lane.ai

I find it`s always interesting how we experience our beloved sim also in comparsation to other titles. For me it is similar but can be described differently:

I "always" play AC and i always betray it some hours a week with all the other sims around. Every time i come back, but at the same time i am happy to have the "others" because they all offer me some little things which they can do better than AC.

  • If i want close door to door front wheel racing i go with Raceroom. Especially since the update, even on dx9 it looks also not bad now. And i like the AI bit more.
  • If i want the extra special physics/ffb feeling --> LMU or even rF2 (Porsche 992 Cup is just brilliant) As much i like AC´s physics, it can´t beat the rF2 physics (in my eyes of course).
  • If i want nice immersion coupled with visuals and within a bit "exotic" scenario i go with the Brazilian V8 Stockcars in AMS2. I love them, they belong honestly to my top5 cars in whole simracing (even before the awaited game changing ;) update).
  • If i want rally i give EA WRC some rounds. Well set upped it´s not that bad also in the ffb deparment. I mean cool AC rallying is envolving. But i prefer a full game with whole rallys/ challanges / career over some single stages with AC.

So i play them all, however AC is with his 4000h+ waaay in front the next one (i mean it´s Raceroom with 700h) and will still be no1 for a long time.

However i made a big mistake last week. There was a big discount on ETS2 (Euro Truck Simulator2) DLC´s so i bought the whole europe and reinstalled the game first time since 2017. I have added the newest/best/modern 30+ mods and started a new game....
And i can say i am really really deep impressed what the game has become and how addictive it is. Gameplay is great the visuals are maybe greater than AC and those career gives you goals.

It was a strange but cool feeling to switch after 2 hours of racing full of stress and adrenalin to a truck which to just cruise around, chill out and enjoy the enviroment.
It´s also strange other way around - After cruising some hours with a truck, it´s partly difficult to immidiatly addept to a race car again :D

Image just for example to illustrate my question.
In CM we can see both the red box collider and the rainbow collider. Box collider can be altered by the parameters in collider.ini in data, but the rainbow .kn5 collider is trickier.
I am getting old(er) :yuck: so my memory might be wrong, but I think in a distant past, I have been able to modify the rainbow collider using CM, but I am unable to remember how.
Is it possible to alter the rainbow collider in CM?

  • If i want close door to door front wheel racing i go with Raceroom. Especially since the update, even on dx9 it looks also not bad now. And i like the AI bit more. Not a fan of R3E AI at all, AC AI needs a little dedication, but once tuned, it is always my favorite.
  • If i want the extra special physics/ffb feeling --> LMU or even rF2 (Porsche 992 Cup is just brilliant) As much i like AC´s physics, it can´t beat the rF2 physics (in my eyes of course). LMU is very nice to drive, better than RF2 from my perspective, but no where even close to the feeling I have in AC
  • If i want nice immersion coupled with visuals and within a bit "exotic" scenario i go with the Brazilian V8 Stockcars in AMS2. I love them, they belong honestly to my top5 cars in whole simracing (even before the awaited game changing ;) update). Since I switch to G2 and Open Composite, AC is by a country miles better than anything else for immersion, breathtaking clarity and visuals.
  • If i want rally i give EA WRC some rounds. Well set upped it´s not that bad also in the ffb deparment. I mean cool AC rallying is envolving. But i prefer a full game with whole rallys/ challanges / career over some single stages with AC. Not a fan of Rally in SIM, so AC is good enough for me, but nothing special either, so I give you this one :lol::cheers:
Interesting indeed, so many of us apparently into the same activity, that is from 20,000 feet view, but looking closer we have all different preference and even within the same SIM, AC, we have "different" AC. I added some notes to show how I am different from you, but I accept your preferences.
To me AC is superior in almost any point, but if anyone comes to me and say I prefer SIM "X", I have no issue and believe them, even be glad for them, as like me, they have found something they like and that is all that matter.

Yeah. And i think it´s AC´s success formula - the endless possibilities everyone has to play it as he want

Even i gave some examples where i see other sims bit in front, AC´s superiority is just his whole package. In any aspect it´s among the best you can get. And the most powerful argument is the fantastic content of course.
