Not sure if it has been mentioned, but this pp glitch has been acknowledged by PD in their “known issues” page , so the next patch would most likely fix this. Enjoy while you can. Then it’s back to sardegna 🤣

Sport Medium tires.

It was a joy to drive the car in GT Sport. Now, it is much better.

Yo, I got a PS5 and this game on Sunday and been playing after and sometimes during work.

I'm at Menu Book 38, already have the Tomahawk, but when will the WTC 600 for Tokyo Expressway be available?

When you're at "Menu Book --" after the credits I would suppose.
My Café has been closed for so long I can hardly remember the name of the old man who'd come by and talk about cars, and I missed out on talking to Tom Matano about the MX-5.

I got it now, after completing Book 39, the last one.

Grippier than the 512BB, albeit lacking in the top speed department.

Pit in at Lap 9, Fuel Map 1.

I'll share the tune tomorrow. Getting sleepy already.

Anybody know if this transmission nerf works on other cars? Kinda curious if I could do the race in a different OP car

Yes, I’ve found that it works for other cars as well (haven’t saved any settings though, as they can’t compete with the Tomahawk).
I haven’t found a ”reliable” way of figuring out how to get them below 600pp. I just use the same gear principles (1-3 short, 4 and above longer) and fiddle around with the power restrictor, ECU, ballast, and springs until it freaks out (shows a ”!” or a number close to the desired pp). After that I make small changes to the ECU, power, or ballast.
It’d be interesting to know how exactly it’s calculated (maybe someone can datamine the info after the new update?).

Here's a no-stop car at Fuel Map 1.

Also on Sports Soft tires.

Will share the tune later, as I am still testing out different tunes. With the right gearing, it can max out at 320 km/h.

Glitch Report: The audio mutes whenever you use this car in a race.

I have been using My C6 ZR1 for this event, sport hards, pretty much stock except a power restrictor taking it down to 564hp. I run the fuel map on around 4 for everywhere except the straight where I put it on 1 until im up to around 180mph, and usually pit around lap 7/8 to refuel and put a new set of tyres on, then I just send it on full power after that which matches the dryness. By the end my laps are in the 2:11 region.

Tried this with a 600pp R34. Finishing a lowly 13th! Managed to get to 6th after 7 laps, but then the penalties started! Damn they are strict 😂 they are also extremely inconsistent. I’d graze a wall - 5s penalty, or I’d smash into a wall - no biggie! I also got one while in the middle of the road for some reason!! Think I ended up with a total of 30s worth in the last 5 laps!
Looking forward trying this many many times to try and win!!

I noticed no matter how many times you hit the wall as long as you dont collide with other cars you can get a clean race bonus for this race. Other races just a slight nudge into another car takes out the clean race bonus.

I just did it! It should at least have 3 peppers this race! Stock Nissan with 20 kg ballast and SM, pitted in the end of lap 6, 5,9 L (pressed ([Don't refuel] a bit early, needed 6,0 L!) won by the skin of my teeth! 😱 Had to do at lest 10 tries, before I got used to the wet track and the wall penalty!

Guys....if the track is a little wet with a few puddles here & there, which tire is the best to start on? I tried the RI. I was unable to change the tire compound later during my pitstops. Is this normal?

This has been evident since GT4 snow (license test) races I think where touching the barrier sideways is acceptable.

I use Sport Mediums.

When the track is still half-wet, I typically be patient and feather the throttle.

Lap 5 onwards I go full send. Pit and go like hell.

The Gr. 4 NSX really works!

Even with one unfortunate penalty, still won by 15 seconds :)

Thanks, works well. I prefer to drive more aggressive at the start with AI since it's almost impossible not to get the clean race bonus. Doing that you end up using more fuel though so need a dab in the pits... at least if you want to go for that 2'09 on the last couple laps when track dries. Also doing 8 laps in stint one means fresher tires when it dries... going for that purple lap is the only thing to worry about 45 seconds up on 2nd. (27:15 for entire race, not bad).

The exit from the hairpin is excruciating though with that turbo and lack of rear grip... sometimes costs you chance to draft entire straight as AI get better exit. A. Suswillo in his GTR has too many horses under the hood. lol.

Enzo Ferrari is definitely recommended:

IMG_20220417_162723.jpg

Sports Medium Tires. Stock Gearbox.

Ballast cranked up to the max (3,208 lbs)
HP: 449

Pit Stop: Lap 8

Fuel Map: 1

Won a Huayra 13 in the lottery and gave it a try.It was good. Not the fastest on the straight (but still ok fast with 285kph) but quite nice in all the fast corner and won.

The only real enemy is always only Kokubun for me as he‘s the only one (at least from the fast pack) doing only one pit like me.
I‘m surprised to see Gallo and Suswillo before him, maybe because i always play on“normal“ difficulty?Gonna try“hard“ next.

Most fun i have is still the A220 but i‘ll give the Enzo and NSX GR 4 a go as well. What absolutely did NOT work for me was the NSX R type 92 with Praianos tuning and powered up to 600. It‘s a spinning nightmare on that wet track :dopey:

A follow up for this. Here's the tune:

Racing Brakes and Brake Pads installed as well.

No need for exhaust and intake mods.

And as for the stock gearbox, it can reach 310 km/h+.

Modern Ferraris are geared aggressively.

Can definitely recommend the Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo, just managed a sub-27 minute (barely) run in it:

My setup is about having the fuel efficiency to enable a no-stop with only a very minor compromise on straight line speed, all whilst staying on fuel map 1. It can be a bit understeery but it is very stable. The AI outpaces the Twin Turbo a bit down the main straight (except for Gallo and Suswillo who seem to go like rockets), but it is easily more than made back through the twisty parts and the lack of a pit stop.

Very heavy short shifting and coasting are needed throughout the race, but I was still doing 2:12-2:13s throughout after the first couple of laps in traffic. The front tyres will be pretty worn by the end as well, so the last couple of laps need to be fairly gentle to avoid hitting the walls. The AI should be nowhere in sight by this point though (unless on pace for a low 27 minute or better, in which case P16 will get blue flagged on lap 11 or 12).

To save enough fuel, its necessary to shift up shortly after the RPM bar starts to increase. The goal is to keep that bar empty 99% of the time. In terms of coasting, I'd lift off at the following places:

  • The set of overhead signs before the 200m board heading into turn 1.
  • When entering sector 3, then coast all the way to the tighter left-right chicane under the bridge.
  • Approaching the bridge with the blue banner, then coast around the right-hander.
  • After a short burst of power coming out of the right-hander, lift off at the 100m board and coast around the left-hander heading towards the off-ramp.
  • Lift off shortly before the 200m board heading towards the hairpin and coast in a short distance before braking.

My understanding of tuning isn't fantastic, but I think that with the settings I'm using, the car is around the optimal power/torque range keeping the RPM bar just below where it starts to fill. Therefore there shouldn't be any appreciable loss whilst also being very fuel efficient. When using the internal view, the dials on the dashboard show ~5-6k RPM.

Note - The car also has all aero parts and a widebody with wide tyres.

btw the A220 could be easy no stop with FM3 i guess, even full power FM1 it lasts 11 laps but i have so much time (and pitstop is very fast with only few drops needed) that i stop mainly for tires. And its too much fun to drive it as fast as possible
