Step 1: Get a kart with no headlights.

Step 2: Go to Nurburgring in dead of night.

Step 3: Increase map scale.

Step 4: Drive

Edit: Woah, woah you can't just change the title on me!

Winning 300 km on Grand Valley with nerve draining effort and get less money than for some 5 round Rome race in lower class. A-Spec is really stupidly done, looks like one afternoon work of one lazy man...

Racing the A spec world Compact Car Race with the tank car in circuito de madrid. I ended up parking the tank car sideways so that it completely blocked off the narrow road after the hairpin just to see how the AI would react

That is funny. I lol'd

bigget mistake was buying a NASCAR and realising that they are rubbish in the game and in real life...waste of half a million cr.

I see what people mean by pay attention to the road, usually I'll look away from the game on the last lap only for a second, when I look back either I'm in the pits or run into the pit wall

Wasting a lot of credits buying the F2010.
With gifts and prizes I am now up to 5 of the damn unsellable things!

I quit during the last race of FGT championship after winning all other races. I was trying to get back to adjust settings. I had saved (suspended) race just before starting so thought I could return to that point. If I just parked and came last I still would have won the championship by a mile, instead I tried to be clever. When I restarted the game I had left the race.

Selling my old PS3 3 weeks before the release of GT5 is the most "im an idiot" thing i have "done" in GT5. I had it on pre-order for a year before it was released. I finally have it though so i reset that mistake, but what a waste of a year

Sold my XBox 360, bought a PS3, then bought GT5! Curses!!!! Now I don't get anything done at the house!

I was in a lobby racing GT cars at Le Mans. The room limit was 600hp. I set up my car for 600pp instead. I was getting left behind big time on the straights. After 2 races I finally realized my error. Doh.

Seasonal events, Grand valley speedway... A-spec challenge 1 at 650 pp, I think.
I was trying to get the "within one-hundredth" trophy. I got in front of that Viper on lap 4 of 5. I finish lap 5 and on last corner I slow down to wait to force the trophy. Viper comes up, but I waited too long and LOST the race by exactly 0.01 seconds... D'OH!!!

The 'ring, at night, in the rain, no aids, in NASCARS. :scared: I still have nightmares...

Try those same settings with LMP cars on sports hard tires:scared::crazy:
That happened in a lobby I was in, the host was just messing around, but I can say that I fared better than most of the other racers. I'll never do that again I'll tell ya that much. Everyone quit the race before turn 10 including me, but I was in the lead.

My most "I'm a frakking idiot" moment was whan I quit *twice* the Tsukuba 9Hr endurance race, with only 30 mins left and me leading by a healthy margin. I used to race 3-4hrs every evening after work, leaving the PS3 on while I was at work, paused. For no apparent reason, on the third day I had to select "quit race" and press "X" ... and the game didn't even question my actions ... seriously dude ? ^^;

This happened to me 3 or 4 times, but I don't remember the specifics: Having a hard time golding a special event or license test, doing it hundreds of times until I'm finally able to avoid all of the mistakes I used to make, realizing THIS IS IT, I got gold now, and then, just before reaching the end, making a mistake I HAD NEVER MADE BEFORE!

Deleted and re-installed GT5 game data to hopefully improve loading times...
and lost ALL of my photos, replays, designed courses, car thumbnails, etc.

I do that all the time in time attacks at the 'Ring - there are a couple of places where it's easy to run out of road if you glance at the time splits. I've also got some sort of issue with knowing I've just set a new fastest time split - my brain calculates what my potential new fastest lap could be and then I promptly crash on the very next difficult corner. Pretty sure the proverbial sailor-with-tourette's strings of obscenities I'm uttering are traumatizing the neighbors :ouch::yuck::crazy::grumpy:

Stopping the Indy 500 at 181 laps (paused it). After a tedious chore I came back and just pressed X, thinking I'd be back in the race.

oh no.

It restarted and I had to do the whole damn thing over again!

I guess mine is buying prize cars before I knew what the prize cars were,oh and I completely screwed up a 458 Italia once by fully reducing the weight on it,my game died shortly (2 weeks or so) afterwards.(this was about 8 months ago).

Another one of mine, but not really my fault. Power went out on two seperate days during the Indy 500. First time at 194 laps, 2nd time at 191. Talk about bad luck.

Really wanted an expensive car from the UCD, decided to do a couple seasonal events, each worth 500,000 when I was only 100,000 away from the 20 mil limit. Went back and the car I wanted was gone...

Spent 10 million on the ferrari f10'. Couldn't use it in a race. Go to used car lot and there the formula GT was sitting there for half price and of course I didn't have the money. Very motivating to collect another 5 million.

I bought a F10 and it's an awesome practice car.
