Allright, sorry i haven't been to active here over the past day or so. Ben prety busy. I would like everyone that is interested/signed up for this series to post and let me know if Wednesday or Thursday would work best for you. Either day is preferable for me and at 2:30 gmt on either day is when i would like to run the series. If we get on it we could start this week. I will get a schedule organized and post that information asap. The schedule will be six weeks long and feature all of the top vote getters from the voting.

On another note, the sign ups are full but i will still take more as "alternates" due to people dropping out, not showing up, or just not being able to make it for a race. If enough interest keeps coming in we could start another group and set an admin for that other group, that way the other group could run on another day and time.

Some rules I'm set on...
Aero- no wings, anything else is ok
Suspension- any
PP limit- 520
Tires- Sports (any compound)
Mandatory pit stop (not on the last lap)
Penalties- None in room, will be points penalties
Penalties will be enforced for flase starts, wreckless driving, short cuts and not returning position, not making a pit stop, there may be others)
No driving aids except TCS and ABS
Grip reduction will be real
Damage will be heavy

Just curious... what's the reason for no wings?

Normally Wednesdays would be fine for me, but the next 3 Wednesdays are booked up for me so Thursday would be my preference.

Would it be possible to get the track schedule finalized at least a few days before the first race? Besides having a few evenings to practice for the first event, I might want choose one car over another depending on the tracks.

So whats the final verdict on tranny upgrades because its something we cant control for. We cn only take each other's word that no tranny upgrades were installed.

Proposed series rules

1) Must use same car for all races
2) Must be at/under PP (or other restrictions) limit
3) Must adhere to tire restrictions
4) CLEAN driving as defined by GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines

And Wednesday and Thursday are both fine for me.

For the track schedule, take a look at the voting thread, I haven't finalized the schedule but the top six are going to be our tracks.

Nurburg GP, Nordschleif, Laguna, can't remember the others... there were three or four tracks tied for the last few last time I checked.

I'll get a schedule up asap,
We don't have to start this week if it would be to much of a rush for everyone. We could once again treat this week as a practice race. If we do treat this week as a practice week though, i would ask that whoever is signed up try to make it. The last couple weeks counter_steer and GTPEgghead have been the main guys there. I would like to see who else will be comitted.
I'll post again tomorrow, If we are just going to do practice races I could do both Wednesday and Thursday 2:30 gmt (yes it's 2:30 am GMT, 24 hour clock).

No final word on tranny's
As far as the wings its just my preference, would like the cars to look like they do on the road. Plus with the PP and tires we are running there will be room for mistakes and adding downforce will just make the cars easier to drive.

This sounds good....I'd like to sign up for this too. Thursdays are good for me but I think for UK time the race would be at 7:30pm. I've been in a few Lounges with M3's at about 500-560pp and there were plenty of close races and wings were used.

I would like to know your decision for not wanting to use wings as everyone would be on the same level of performance, or do you think it would be more exciting with less grip to test the best from the rest??:)

Well whatever you decide I would like to have a go.

Sorry Ignore my question below as I was writing it when you posted.

Just trying to clear up the time, I don't think 2:30 gmt is 7:30pm in the UK???
2:30 gmt is 8:30pm for me (us central). I don't think there's an hour difference between the US and UK.

I am aware of the rules, which don't change that depending on the tracks I may want to choose one car over another. For example, if the majority of the tracks have long straights I may prioritize power over handling. Conversely, I may prioritize handling over power if the majority of the tracks do not have many long straights.

Sounds good. I'll be there.

Yup thanks for the results, I was to lazy to put that together... The top six tracks are our tracks. Throw out Trial Mountain (want real world tracks).

Sorry about that.....the time here would be 1:30am which is fine. The track selection is good and will be fun too.
👍👍

Preference on the order? Here is my crack at it:

Laguna Seca (7 votes)
Nurburgring GP/F (8 votes)
Suzuka Circuit (6 votes)
Cote D'Azur (6 votes)
Autodromo Nazionale Monza (7 votes)
Nurburgring Nordschleife (9 votes)

As far as the order that looked good, I was also going to do green hell last so that's for sure.

I would also love to see daytona on the schedule. Maybe we'll up the series length to 8 races so all can be included

Yes, Daytona Road would be fun 👍
The draft should even things out a bit and keep things interesting.

I was just running my M3 GTR there tonight on sport hards. Had some great battles in and out of the bus stop, it's a bit of a game of chicken to see who can brake the latest and still keep it together into the bus stop

On that note, the M3 GTR will be my weapon of choice for this series. I was going to go with the Z4M, but since I had to max the power mods to hit 520pp I really can't stand the sound of it :yuck:

Here is a scratch for races of about 60 – 70 minutes, of course that is not the season calendar, as I agree with most of you, the Nordschleife must be the last round of the championship.

Read as follows: Track - Length, km - Laps - Total Length, km

Suzuka Circuit (Weather) - 5.81 - 24 - 139.44
Road Course – Daytona - 5.729 - 25 - 143.225
Nürburgring Nordschleife (Time) - 20.84 - 7 - 145.88
Nürburgring GP/F - 5.15 - 27 - 139.05
Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Weather) - 5.793 - 25 - 144.825
Laguna Seca Raceway - 3.605 - 40 - 144.2
Trial Mountain Circuit - 3.975 - 35 - 139.125
Côte d’Azur - 3.347 - 30 - 100.41
