Hmmm to be honest I think the biggest paydays are for the offline Red Bull Challenges, but a Seasonal Event or two golded will definitely give you enough dollar for your BMW :)
Okay, sounds good. Hope to see ya guys soon. Gave me a 8 day time frame for when the game would arrive:rolleyes: That is real helpful isn't it

Couple of questions I need some feedback on guys..

  1. Should the qualifying sessions be run as proper Qualifiers (as in Meganes), or as practice sessions with Automatic Start Time? This would advantage people who DC or arrive late (although not recommended to do this!!), since running proper Qualifiers means you can't re-enter the track if you leave, which is dumb :banghead:
  2. I'm considering applying the Pole/FL/Lap Leader points to Pre-Qualifying as well, and having them count for the overall championship. I'm aware this might cause something of a 'pinch' or 'pressure point' around 10th place in the standings, but it may boost competitiveness? What do you guys think?

Also, I recommend you guys enable notifications for getting tagged in posts here. I'll be using that feature a lot this season I think.

Bumping this. 👍

I like idea 1, the qualifying mode on this game is kind of a disaster. Also, I don't think Jack Sears results should count toward the overall points if that's what you're asking.

Jack Sears points (7th - 15th in the pre-qualifying race) definitely won't count for the overall points, in the same way that Independent points don't.

I'm talking about using the FL, Pole and Lap Leaders points from the pre-Q race and counting them towards the overall points however.

Finishing 1st - 6th wouldn't earn anything at all though. You wouldn't get 20 for a pre-Q win etc etc.

I may however include non-qualifying Independents in the Independent overall points, just to spice that up a bit more.

@priesty_lfc Do you want Volvo or Renault? You've got both listed down and both are almost full now so it would be good to know where I stand with allocating spaces to others.

Renault 2:14.300

Ford 2:14.561

VW 2:15.275

Volvo 2:15.354 :scared: :scared:

...this may have to be a test season - 1.04 has done something big to these cars. Before 1.04 these cars were 0.3 apart, all in the low 2:14s.

That would explain why I'm a bit slow in the Volvo. Can we get a slight weight drop or something, or increase the others?

Hmm, I'm gonna need to get some more info in before I make any snap decisions. Those times were done with only 2 laps each.

With regard to the Volvo though, there isn't really a lot of room for improvement (strip the 79kg away and that's the limit), so as you say, either I may have to increase the rest (which will get incredibly complex), or I may have to break out the S60 and see what that is capable of.

I need to learn more about the whole weight distribution thing/extra ballast thing. Pre-1.04 that Volvo didn't handle as well at 1200.

Yikes do i not like that!!!!!:irked::yuck: That gaps massive.:ouch:

Just ran an S60 at 1300kg round Ascari. 2:13.898. Definitely room to mould that into the group, so no panics just yet 👍 We have a decent looking back-up if the C30 falls flat :)

Updated with new Volvo time.

Hmm, thing is... what if this is just a Volvo bogey track? I'd need more times from other places. May be wise running a test night before Thursday too. Motegi East would be a good bet.

Gonna look kinda outta place though don't ya think. Reckon i'll have a re-think over the weekend.:indiff:

Why?

Big old ugly standard stick out like a sore thumb.:ill: No way the current Volvo can have a bhp boost? Or is that a spec check problem (pm sent with more detail).

BMW? :sly:

Anyway, just ran the Volvo at 1200 and posted a 2:14.212 ...wonder if my ballast/weight distribution idea has been killed off by 1.04. Don't jump the gun yet, if this change makes it too fast elsewhere then the Volvo guys may just have to suck up a lack of pace here.

:sly: Let's keep it simple for now. The same weight problem may be applying to the VW now too... it was clearly 1530 for a reason! Not so sure now. Need more data.
Ok like you say might be a track thing. Is the list balanced between speed and twist circuits? I ask as i don't know them at all well obviously Autumn Ring's a handle circuit:nervous:

Tried to but we'll have to complete the season before we really know which cars work where (or don't).

If the C30 gets substituted by the S60, I will be changing cars. Lol. I wouldn't be seen dead in that old barge.

I'll test some other cars, it was Canyon's decision to run the Volvo that prompted me to opt for it. I lilke it when we run the same cars, it makes tuning much easier as we work together.

Is the available car list up to date?

They need shoving around Autumn Ring and then Fuji GT. It will give an idea of whether or not the car is biased to a particular style of track.

The VW is worrying too, although that doesn't handle as well as the Volvo. It has always been a tricky car.

Rolo, I'd just like to point out that the S60 is now 11 years old - which makes it the oldest fart out on the track...
As well as that, it's also being used as a Super Tourer! So NGTC Cars with an old Super Tourer - recipe for disaster!

GT6 is just headache after headache at the moment. Aren't we due another update this month as well with the new track? That'll surely change something in the physics or tuning again :ill:

Have you confirmed the tracks for the test nights @rolo912011? Sorry if I missed it. I did probably 100+ laps at Brands Indy before so I'd love to drive them there again. I can't even get out and have a proper test because of my disconnection issues at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to join.

@Ian_83 are you still testing offline? The physics are different online and offline and I feel faster off then on so I'm hesitant to get too deep into it
