You could take it apart and clean it mate? That blows though :(

Sorry to Kurt. My pedals became unplugged and I could not accelerate. I can't win. Cannot complete a race with out something for the life of me!!! :(

After looking at the accident on the first lap where I was involved and had to crawl back, I can only blame my self for that. :)

Sorry if I messed things up for you guys around.

Three lessons learned after this race:

1. It was fun! I like long races.

2. Get a faster car...even if I like the one I drove.

3. When I watched the replay I saw that it's possible to go faster than what I did, even if the car is broke.

ok, a 4th lesson: It was fun!

Thanks Heathenpride for making this happen! Great work! 👍 :)

Sweet! so, I can't find any Specs for the cars... Am I not looking hard enough?

Have you read my OP? Everything is in there.

- THE END -

This post has been commissioned by HeathenPride (Bossman of CRAP Racing).

Laps times and other extra info are not disclosed, and are already available to the participants :)

Thanks for reading. Have a nice weekend !

Darn. Looks like I could've had a chance today, I think that everyone spun. Too bad I was busy. It looked really fun.

Yes sir I did! Seen how wide the car selection is I'm just making sure it's not a multy class event.

Awesome write up Bob.

From my perspective of the race, I was my biggest enemy. Came off 3 times by myself (1st time captured as above).

Probably wouldn't have changed the result if I hadn't come off, but it would have been more fun to try and mix it up with you Bob, compared to the running around by myself that I ended up with.

Still, an enjoyable race. Thanks everyone. :)

Yes, I'll second the thanks to Bob for the excellent write up. I thoroughly enjoyed my first proper organised online race. I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't too far off the pace of the leaders, but suffered badly from not fully understanding the start procedure, so when Kurt and Sub tangled right off the grid, I continued to follow Kurts damaged car for a couple of kms before realising that everyone else was getting away and he was limping.
I then had the misfortune getting caught up with Rosens accident as he recovered to the track bring causing me suspension damage and a long limp back to the pits for a lap 1 pit stop.

On emerging I then had a pretty lonely race apart from the hard charging Kurt chasing me down and passing me on lap 5.

My tyres were very marginal by lap 6 so in the end it was just a relief to bring it home in 6th.

Well done HP and the other guys at the sharp end for running a great race. I'm already looking forward to the next one !!!

That was some great racing last night! I really enjoyed it and although consistency and 'staying out of trouble' is the main focus in an endurance, I had some great battles with Heathenpride and Bob.

It was nerve recking though. Ben was in a league of his own and pulling away steadily before the DC, so 👍 to him. The different tyre strategies were nice to see and I can only applaude the level of respect and craftmanship shown. 👍

Fantastic pictures Bob.

Another awesome write-up by bob 👍👍👍👍 Staging and taking all the pictures for something like that takes skill and time and then arranging them to tell the story of the race like they do is really a neat feature and much appreciated. I really love the one picture of Cobani passing bob's Corvette on the straight ... just a great stand alone picture :)

Last week I laughed in amazement over the fact that I spun 3 times and didn't hit a thing .... ran damage free the whole race. This week was the exact opposite .... just barely touched the edge of the grass early on lap 1 and was pitched quite violently into the wall suffering "limp back to the pits at 35 mph" damage. It quickly reminded me of an important aspect of Endurance racing .... always finish the first lap and most importantly, maintain concentration at all times ..... I failed on both counts :dopey:

But hey, on the bright side I beat a much faster than me Ben and Suby after they got disconnected :dopey:

Great report as always Bob 👍 hopefully my PS3 is repairable? Gave it to a mate last night who has performed a few miracles on his own fatty, fingers crossed.

Good luck with that. My fatty died a year ago so I'm on the slimline now. The very latest super slim looks pretty cool

hopefully my PS3 is repairable? Gave it to a mate last night who has performed a few miracles on his own fatty, fingers crossed.

Excellent race report.

It was a good race and I am looking forward to the next one.

Kurt showed great sportsmanship by slowing down to let me pass after he accidentally clipped me, even though he was faster than me before the coming together.👍

I still have a bit to learn on strategy though. I was following a damaged car on lap 1 and decided to overtake when the track opened up a little but unfortunately suffered heavy damage in the attempt.:ouch: I should have picked a slower part of the track to overtake:idea:

I hope to see you all in the next race, still in my red GT-R 35 TC #63.

I will be skipping the remaining practices and be back on race day. Good hunting gents.

Everyone:

I'm unable to run practice in the morning, can I trust you all to manage? Kurt can you keep an eye on things?

Please note, daylight savings in Australia starts in a few short hours so take that in to account.

Start time is in 13hrs 45 min but please double check, time is to be 8am Aus Central Daylight Savings Time.

Thanks all

Gentlemen,
I have to pull out of tonight's practice.
It's 01:11 hours at the moment and I figure that the lounge will open in 19 minutes to begin quali and then the race. It's just to late for me now. :odd:
Cheers and have a good one!

Cobani

Did it happen? :)

I thought practice should have started at 23.30 GMT+1 (my timezone) and all was quiet. I checked again 1 hour later, but apparantly something went wrong.
