Hey guys, thanks for your help with the group photo tonight. I'll have something nice ready tomorrow but here's a preview.

So what's your opinions on the draft? Seemed like we were mostly in agreement that we need the stronger draft to pull off a clean pass even with that long straight. We do run a higher risk of incidents in turn 1 since we'll be carrying more speed but we won't be doing a reverse grid so the faster (more skilled) guys will be leading the pack. Hopefully they can keep it clean and the rest of us will follow their lead. 👍


Any thoughts from the group that was there tonight? Should we stick with strong draft for the remainder of the season?

I'd keep it @weak for enduros and strong for the double-headers.

I wasn't there last night, but I was in spirit. Looking forward to see the tribute photos.

From the testing done so far, strong slipstreaming isn't as strong as the slipstreaming before Spec II. Therefore I'd vote for strong to be in place for all the races for the rest of the season.

I was in a room that was started by a Japanese guy then was left to an American.He could host the room but couldnt see it listed on the track list.

The Capp is a great fit at Spa.I was hitting 132 mph on the Kemmel straight.The car was easy flat out thru Eau Rouge and the two corners that tried to trip up the Capp were Rivage and Pouhon.

Strong draft @ GV-R for sure.On weak it was virtually impossible to get the pass done on the front straight before the Dunlop bridge/sign and that left hand kink is barely a 1 lane road with 1 car.

Yeap, spent couple of hours @Spa yesterday too (with a good chunk of it with water on the track indicator at 100%). Drove Capp for a few laps. And while it's pretty - too many corners are flat-out. If it were a rain race though....

Yeah Spa's everything I hoped for! Great fantastic thrill of a track.

I just popped in here to say that I may or may not end up making the race today... because I'm just going to sleep... now... long night of work, then I got the opportunity to unwind with some racing with my chum Dennis. Now... heheh, I better go to ze sleeps. So don't wait up. If I get up somehow, great. xD. Otherwise I'll probably have to shoot for Saturday's race.

The strong draft on all tracks seems like the best fit for enjoyable Capp racing to me based on everyone's reviews.

PS - Why can't they just have a draft setting called "Real" haha...

Man, it's getting pretty ugly out in the GTP General Population, everybody's up in arms because the DLC doesn't work exactly the way they wanted/expected it to work. Personally I don't get it, I don't dupe (except prize cars for Capp Cup) or have multiple accounts so I just can't see their side of it.

To put it in a different light, I see their argument as this:
"I went to a tire store to get tires for my car. I paid for tires on my car, but when I asked them to put tires on my wife's car the bastards wanted to charge me for them! THEY ARE RIPPING ME OFF!!"


I'm sure some Capperino's are upset about it too, but I just don't get it and I didn't want to post something out there in the wild. Too scary.

I personally was hoping to use my GTP account for online racing (in miata series that requires DLC) and finally complete 24hr enduro on on my main account, since it would seem that the proper 'enduro save' that would let me complete the game is unlikely to be ever released.

Probably. Don't get me wrong, I'm rather upset about the North American delay (especially considering it's already sitting right there on my hard drive) but I just don't understand the other complaints. It works just like the store, you buy a 6-pack of beer and you get 6 beers. You don't get to take a whole case just because you want to share it with your friends and family. But I'm sure there's another side I'm not seeing.

Just frustrating, I've been scouring the boards trying to find out if there's any info about why we are delayed and all I see is this vile hatred spewing from every other thread.

Anyway, Enduro race tonight at Grand Valley Reverse, 20 laps with 1 mandatory pitstop, slipstream on "strong". Lounge opens at ~7pm EDT, qualifying starts at 7:45pm EDT sharp! See ya there!

The stuff with different regions is all a valid complaint, people do move and sometimes to a different country, so that really sucks for them.

I setup a GTP tagged account after I already had a PSN account with my current username linked to GT5. I already had a bit of progress on the game so when I realized I wouldn't be able to share any of that with the other account I just abandoned it. I seem to be able to race online with other GTP members just fine too!
