An Alfa racing club eh? *cough* Sunday's after 9 EST *cough*

Would that be sundays at 9 AM?? So that the European fellows will be able to join in at reasonable hours at 3 pm CET (Central European Time) ?? :D

If we are running Alfa's on Friday I'll need to break mine in, oh such a chore :D

Well, I work early Monday mornings so 9pm EDT Sunday wouldn't work for me. We'll see how many people can acquire the Alfa and go from there. Maybe next season can be Capp Cup Vintage Edition where we all run the Alfa's instead of the Capp. They are very close in terms of power/weight, the Alfa is only 20kg heavier and has an extra 25-30hp to balance that out. So the lap times are very close and the handling characteristics feel very similar but the Alfa has a little more grunt to pull you out of the corners. 👍 The only tricky part is everyone getting their hands on the expensive beast, but we have plenty of time to sort that out. :)

Love to see a Capp Cup Spot Race after Saturdays Capp event. Maybe we could do a few different car types.

The Alpha's are nice. But Every car will have same scheme and number.

You can paint and change the rims on the Alfa 👍

RDA the 2J is shared on my profile.

As well the 2D less HP better handling and Yota 7 is there.

Many thanks for the loan of the 2J. Bob won first time out with minimal input from me! I'm now the proud owner of the Alfa. Cheer! 👍

Until you enter track and it goes back to stock. :(

He must liked my tune. :)

I would take part in a short Alfa season, I love my Cappy though, so if it doesn't happen it is hardly a disappointment.

Brandon had his Alfa out yesterday with painted rims under the stock restriction and they were still painted...I noticed it at Top Gear, never looked before that. Freaky and I ran at Monaco for a while last night. Seemed to be a pretty good fit to me. As was GPD, and Top Gear. Top Gear would be such a great track if they had a modified version with a crossover bridge/tunnel. We should lobby for that...lol.

I haven't had an objections to the schedule adjustments so we're going to move forward with that plan.

Tonight and tomorrow we will do free runs at Spa and whatever else seems clever. Anybody that has the Alfa is welcome to bring it along, maybe we can de-tune it just a smidgen and run it side by side with the Capp's for a race or too, for schnitz and giggles.

We will resume Round 4 Tuesday at Indy Oval, laps TBD. We will run a race or two there as well so we can determine what slipstream strength we want to use.

Yeah, Monaco just feels right for the style of the car as well. Overtaking might be a challenge, just have to wait for someone to clip a wall.

Bought the DLC before work this morning. The GT-R (R35) and Roadster TCs look amazing. I really have a soft spot for the R35 right now, got it in a shuffle race, 7th to 1st before the other guys finished spinning their wheels on the grid, I hit turn one at HSR over a second ahead, lol they never saw me again.

Sweet lord, nice shots. It is so frustrating knowing that DLC is sat on my PS3 and I'm here all day. Well, at least I have GTP access.

I was thinking it would look good in British racing green.
Will I be struck down if I do? :)

Mine is in a nice green (see above), I'm willing to take the flack for my sacrilege.

If we really want to be authentic we could pick only paint schemes or colours that existed back when the car was around. I would assume no metallics, no chromes, no colour shifts, no purples etc. Maybe mattes, and basic colours.

I'm always up for authenticity...:)

Um... Green Alfa = Sacrilege :nervous:

Well, they can't all be red! I like vintage race cars to be in green for some reason. :dopey:

Sacrilege? Hardly! I will admit Brandon's choice of color is a little dark for my tastes though.

An Afla from the side is always so beautiful!

Some two wheel action at London.

It's best to keep two, one unpainted, one painted.

Vintage Jaguars are green. :yuck:

You know the old saying...
All jaguars should come with a mechanic in the trunk!

And I love the looks of vintage Jag's!

The Top Gear guys tend to say the same thing about Alfa's. :dopey: And that's pretty much the extent of my Alfa knowledge. :dunce:

At least you didn't paint it Skoda Green... :dopey:

That would rule out green too on the grounds of health - Waaaay to much lead in 1950's green paint!

Left my Alfa as is, I love Alfa Red and yellow, great scheme. I painted my 60s Jag racer green, but switched it to Chrome Silver once I saw the rivits in the panels. I think it looks really good. I have it set to shared for those interested.

That reminds me, I also have my 900hp, Race Soft Toyota 7 shared if anybody needs it to tackle the Historic B-Spec. Just clean up any mess Bob leaves in the seat, it's a scary car. :nervous:

I used my Toyota 7 last night and won Monaco first try. I forgot to install the turbo but my little guy still pulled out the win on the last lap. I still hate b spec though, I figure if I was drunk and doing some landscaping, then accidently flipped my lawnmower and fell into the blades, cutting my arms off then maybe I would have a use for b spec. But as long as Im not black out drunk and armless then b spec is not needed.

Hopefully I can make your suffering worthwhile by doing something fun with the Alfa. :)

I was worried about makong the race this week but it sounds like Week 4 is postponed. Am I correct?

Correct. Mainly because of connection/stability issues and my good up with the custom track. We will be doing fun runs tonight and tomorrow at our normal times.

Cool. If I can make it, I will. I've never had a chance to play with my TZ, and running it at Spa would be the Schiznit!
