TriEluzai, thanks for siginging up, you've been added to the registration list. 👍

I will be the host of today's race at 2pm EDT, my PSN ID is BrandonW77 so if you haven't added me send me a request. We wil start qualifying at 2pm and the race should start around 2:20-2:30.

To review qualifying, after resetting the track and lap times I will release half of the room to the track for 6 minutes of qualifying. I will type the drivers name into the chat box to release them and will try to leave about 10 seconds between the drivers so everybody has a chance of avoiding traffic. After 6 minutes drivers will complete the lap they are on and then return to the lobby. The second half of the room will go to the pits and I will release them 1 at a time in 10 second intervals. After 6 minutes drivers will finish their hot laps and then return to the lobby. After qualifying is finished I will ask everyone to return to the pits and stay there while the race timer counts down. The starting grid will be fastest first.

I should have a room open by 1pm EDT or shortly after for a last bit of practice before starting qualifying at 2pm.

See you there!

Brandon

I'm running the Integras, so I wont make it, but I thought I'd share this.

One of the guys who I kicked out last night for not being registered; raceman24 decided to send me a bunch of angry messages last night when I was in bed. Of course, I wasn't able to respond to any of them, so eventually he got so angry that he sent out a long message, explaining ALL about how I "only kick out good racers" and how he had reported me to sony. He called me a hacker, too.

Just want a confirmation - the race is in 1,5h, right?

EDIT// Please don't tell me I got the timezones all wrong... On my way, WAAAAAAAIT!
Dontstartitdontstartitdontstartit...

EDIT2// Cannot join Brandon's room, puts me at the Indy...

Right, thank you very much for letting me qualify and sorry for the mess guys, really appreciate!

Anyway, the race was a total disaster for me :) I had no time to practice during the week, thought I will be able to warm up before the race, just for the qualis. Overslept and missed the time, I went on the track to do my hot laps without driving the Capp at all for over a week - somehow I managed to get 1:06.xxx (and I was doing consistent 1:04's a week ago...) what made me 8th.

After the start I somehow managed to get 5th or 6th, but after one lap someone hit me from behind and made go off the track - not sure what happened there, I'm using hood cam without rear view mirror, so that could have been my fault as well, gonna watch a replay tomorrow. Anyway, dropped down to the last, but I was pretty annoyed and my times suffered - around 1:10 all the time.

After few laps when I finally warmed up a little bit I managed to pass wat3rm370n, doing 1:05-1:06's... But when I realized I'm doing better and better, it didn't take me long to push that thing a bit too hard and spin at the last corner. I went mad and thinking I had a big gap after me I tried to come back on the track, obviously running in front of wat3r - so sorry mate. Tried to let him get a 5-secs advantage to apologize, but after few more laps I caught up again and passed him. Then I was just driving slowly to the finish line, trying not to cause anymore problems on the track and letting everyone double me...

I feel so bad. One of my favourite tracks with probably the most fun car I've driven and I failed so hard, on every possible level :)

Oh well. Good race everyone, hopefully I'll do better next week!

No sweat Vatrox, glad you could make it. FYI, waterm3lon is a girl. :)

Here are the results from Saturday's race. Congratulations to BrosifDuder for not only holding off Friday Night's Champion, OwensRacing, but also on completing the Saturday race within 2 tenths of a second of the same elapsed time from Tuesday's race! Quite an amazing feat mate!

Next race: Tuesday, 8:15pm EDT @ Deep Forest-Reverse. See you there!

Darn it...I missed again lol, this is a series right? so we can race whatever days we want?

Each night has its own points standings, so you can run in one, two or three of them. Also, your worst finish will be dropped and only 4 out of 5 races count so if you miss one it won't hurt you. Next race is Tuesday at 8:15pm EDT.

Brandon,

I was wondering how many people would be interested in pushing the starting time back (for the Saturday race) about 1.5 - 2 hours making it a EDT of 3:30 -4pm? I have noticed a number of people have said they missed the race etc and it is an extremely early start for me (and waznz) here in NZ at 6am as it currently stands. The extra couple of hours sleep would be awesome.

Vodas...

An idea for this series. Go with three races a week. If you win your done for that week.(you can revoke win and race next race. Has to be done with in xhrs then second on stays same) if you keep win you get top points. Up to three winners a week. Then each person from there gets a chance to better their standings until they win or the third Session. Then take best finish and get points. Again three people could tie for second place points.

Please don't. Keep at least one race semi-european, it's already getting late here (9pm) anyway, I don't want to race at midnight - it's usually the only night during whole week when I can get some proper sleep. And I guess I'm not the only one.

I thought the race was to start at 4pm EDT too, that's why I missed the qualis - but after all I was really happy when it turned out to be earlier, not gonna miss it next week. It's only a matter of information imho, whoever missed it yesterday will remember next week.

I am already unable to participate in the other races because of my timezone, those are 2:15am Tuesday and 4am Friday...

I also say no, because that eliminates any possibility of people doing a Cappuccino/Integra double ;)

One of the reasons I missed yesterdays race was I was out at the Ulster Transport Museum, where many DeLorean's had gathered as part of the 30th anniversary of the car. They were built in Belfast and many of them had returned 'home' to celebrate the anniversary. Many of them were from USA, but some were from France and Germany as well as a few locally owned.
It was really nice to see so many of them gathered together and also out and about on the local roads.

As far as I know, this is one car that doesn't feature in GT5. And no, none of the cars had flux capacitors fitted.

1) i'm fine with the start times, sure its early but what a way to start the day!

2) Pretty sure (90%) there is a Delorean in GT5.

3) Go Scott Dixon!!!!

Are you crazy Waz?? Lol, nah thats sweet. I'm only one person, so if everyone else is happy with the timing then thats sweet. It was only a question.

I'm probably going to be missing the majority of the races in there currrent time slots so good luck to you all and i will see you if i get the chance to be there.

Vodas...

I've been working on my set-up still... finally getting somewhere, and I would appreciate anyone wanting to kick around a few laps with me. I need a pace car or something. :D

Vatrox, sounds like you could use some practice. LOL :P
Though I'm in the US, I'm often available during "european hours". If you add me on PSN & send a msg if you want to practice.
That goes for anyone else, too. (Even if you don't need the practice, & just want to practice for the heck of it. ;) )

We could maybe move Saturday's time slot back to about 2:30, but that time slot was chosen to accomodate the most amount of players, kind of a slot for those that can't make the weeknight races. Friday night was scheduled in the hopes it would fit West Coast U.S. drivers as well as Aus/NZ drivers (Saturday for you guys). It's impossible to find times that work for everyone since we're literally from all around the globe, but hopefully you can make some more races Vodas, I had a lot of fun racing with you this week. 👍

Well, for those of us in the States today is a holiday and I bet many of us have the day off today so I was thinking about maybe doing some fun Cappucinno races, maybe at the Nordschlife and Le Sarthe. Tracks we don't run in the series but would still be a blast and a good way to learn more out about our cars. We can race any tracks the group wants, maybe some custom tracks too, those were just my thoughts.

I should be around most of the day today and plan on getting some good wheel time in so if anybody's interested in some Capp racing let me know!

I may be on after 4 pm ET. I'm up for la Sarthe and Nurburgring.

I am sick and don't feel like being outside. I will probably be on all day when I am not doing laundry and cleaning the house. <=== fun stuff right there.

Edit: @Yuritardid - I got down to 24.1xx at Deep Forest Reverse using my Tsukuba tune. This gives me hope that my tune will be a universal setup for most tracks.

Care to share :)

For you, anything. :dopey:

Ride Height (f/r): -5/-5
Spring Rate (f/r): 12.0/15.0
Extension (f/r): 5/8
Compression (f/r): 9/4
Anti-Roll Bars (f/r): 1/1

Camber Angle (f/r): -2.5/-2.0
Toe Angle (f/r): 0/.20

Brake Balance (f/r): 4/5

I started with a base tune that was given to me by iforcev8 which he later scraped to start anew. The tune is way more radical than I would ever do myself and I am working on other more conservative numbers to see if I can get better results.

iforcev8 mentioned that his current setup is runnign -5/+5 on the ride height which I used on Friday and yielded slightly more consistent results on Friday's race for me. Prior to that I had it dumped at the lowest settings for both front and rear.

Argh! :ouch: You have the honor of creating the first situation in which I have regretted having the GTP iPhone app. I'm currently doing the quintessential Memorial Day BBQ, but Capps on the Nordschleife with you guys... I wish I didn't know about this because now I'd rather be racing! :sly: Have enough fun for those of us that don't make it. 👍

It's nice to be loved :P I'll be on a bit later, stuck with family right now.

Haha, I remember you mentioning those crazy high spring rates while everyone was practicing around Deep Forest on Friday, and that the handling felt very similar at around 5.0/5.0. Seems like Suzuki might've put more Italian in the Cappuccino than just its name and gave it Fusilli for springs... :sly:

Of course since you're down to 24".1, I'll be trying your setup tomorrow night. I think I might have just gotten how to drive the track with my 24".999 on the last lap Friday. Thanks for sharing!

MMMMMM fusilli!

I'd be interested to see what you can run with that setup. you are pretty fast dude so I am sure you will put up similar times. I've been making a whole bunch of 450PP cars for another group I run in but I am going to start tuning the Capp soon. Good luck with the BBQ in SF, must be tough!

I just realized that I had a DeLorean with zero miles! GT5 says it is a 2004 S2 model so they are the high output version with close to 200hp.

Thanks for the pictures. I remember my neighbor down the street had one and he used to give me a ride every now and then. My father was always a bit miffed that I took a stronger liking to that DeLorean over any of his early 911s.

I just realized I sound like a jackass complaining about BBQs while a fellow GTPer isn't feeling well on a holiday. :guilty: I'll have a beer and some ribs in your name Duder. Feel better! I'd wish you good luck in the 450pp series you're running, but I doubt you'd need it. 👍
