I'll be opening the race room sometime around 9, but I may make a practice room sooner than that. As far as I know, there should be room.

Practice room for an hour. At 9:30, I'll close the room down, clear my cache and restart the PS3, then open up the race room. At 10:00 sharp, I'll start qualifying.

I'll have the first half go out, then after the 6 minutes is up, I tell everyone to just stop on the track, don't exit the room, until I write down everyones times. Then I tell them to get off the track, and do the 2nd half, including me,

Once 6 minutes is up then, I'll tell everyone to stop and stay on the track, write down my time (having you or someone else verify it), then leave the track, write down everyone else's time, and tell them to leave the track.

Here are the results of the first Friday night. Congratulations to OwensRacing on a rather dominating win. Some really great battles for 2nd through 5th though!

Everything went pretty smooth again, everything with qualifying worked out perfectly so I think we found a good system. I didn't hear any reports of traffic during hot laps so I think everybody did a good job of spacing out. I got a little close to somebody on my first hot lap but I backed off and created some room, didn't have any problems.

I will have a room open around 1pm EDT tomorrow for practice and we will start qualifying at 2pm. Looking forward to another great race!

I should have a room open later in the day for some practise, but I won't be able to make the race tonight. Next Saturday is a definite though.

Looks like a close race for second and fourth. Good job fellas, sorry I missed it, but game 7, Boston vs. Tampa was on...lol. Go Canucks!!

One suggestion, you might want to notch up the race delay a bit to give everyone a chance to finish. It would suck to be racing for position, in 8th and 9th, gunning for the start finish, about to make your move, and the race ends because the arbitrary 1 minute time delay kicks in.

How hard would it have been for GT5 to set it up so that you had both a race delay and next time over the finish line ends the race type of option? You'd have to have the race delay in there on top of the "cross the line" option to prevent someone from just hanging around on the track and race never ending, but just like in real racing, the next time you cross the line the race should be over.

PS I say "fellas" on purpose because Punch didn't make the big show!!!...lol.
