It was an excellent race on all accounts. Qualifying seemed pretty smooth, as smooth as can be on such a small track. We did 6 minutes in each of two groups and everyone seemed to start where they qualified which is always good. Brosif and I qualified with a couple of hundredths I believe and were nose to tail the entire race, which was both fun and nerve wracking...lol. But for a slight mishap, both VonStig and iForce would have been right there as we were the first few laps, but it's so difficult to make up for lost time in these cars. Brosif got me in the first hairpin on the final lap for the victory. The post race discussion revealed good battles throughout the lineup. Everyone did a good job moving over while being lapped as well. Congratulations Brosif, you are very consistent and you left absolutely no room for error in 25 laps!!!
Good job hosting Brandon.
I can't speak for anyone else, although I thought we had a bit of a consensus afterwards while practicing at Deep Forest Reverse (is that updated on the main page?). I think 4 or 5 of us sort of agreed that we'd like to be able to use the concrete patches in the tunnel and after the tunnel for two reasons.
1. The left hander after the tunnel is extremely difficult without the wider approach and exit the concrete allows. There were several spins when we tried to drive without using all four wheels on the concrete.
2. It's very difficult to police and there will be times when one might run wide naturally, to avoid a collision perhaps or just carrying too much speed through that part of the track, and it would be a shame to have to penalize someone for that if we invoke a "two wheels on the track" type of rule.
I'd suggest that everyone try out Deep Forest Reverse and try the corners with the concrete patches, in and after the tunnel, and draw your own conclusions.
