Sorry if this one's already been asked but having ditched my Xbox career to restart on my newly bought PC, I'm near the end of my first season in December, I've just won a couple of Kart One trophies and it's given me an option to finish the season or I can do the Lakeville Focus Challenge. If I'm gping to do Zero To Hero should I skip the invitational or will it still give me a superkarts offer after the Focus Challenge? I skipped all the other invitationals.

You can skip them?! I was getting really frustrated with all the letters I was receiving of late lol. Just want to focus on career like yourself.

Yeah, there's a jump to next event option in the lower right corner of the calendar. Far as I know, they come up every year so I'm leaving them until I get my ZTH and defending champion accolades.

About how many seasons does it take to win the LMP1 championship, 6, 8, 10? Just curious about the Zero to Hero achievement.

I only have to defend the championship for one more year in the LMP1 series and I will have all the historic goals done. I been doing it with 90% AI mainly. This is going to be a long season because not only am I'm doing the LMP1 championship stuff but also the inventational events I have yet to complete yet. So a long season ahead but should be fun.:)

is anyone getting F1 2015? I am torn, i don't think it will be anything like as good as PCars but i still feel the need for next gen f1!! I've spent fat too much cash this month but i feel i need this game. decisions.

Lost the championship. Defending champion won't get done this time around. I still got one more event to go but he got it locked. I got 111 points to his 169 points. Even if I win both races I still lose. I'm kinda pissed off at the moment because I just spend 3 seasons doing this and I lose on the final defense. I mean I had fun doing it but still. The AI kinda screwed me up at spa. Both races they wrecked right in front of me and I got involved.Car was damage. So no points in neither of those races. So I guess I will try this historic goal again soon. Probably in LMP3 whenever I get a contract for that. Like I said I had fun doing it though.

How do you get a seat in the Mclaren GT3 ? I finished a season in the GT3 championship but only got offers for other tiers !
I'd like to stay in GT3 but just a different team/car .

That feeling of trying, yet still failing is what I love to feel in games as much as winning. It's why I feel I should skip the karts that I can't seem to bond with and go into a series and lose myself in it.

Man that stinks. I'm currently doing the Zero to Hero. I'll be pissed if at the last moment I lose and miss out on that. Considering I don't think I can try again in the same career so I'll have to restart the whole career again if that happens.

Currently doing the first race of Formula Rookie, at Oschersleben, first race of the German Championship. Fun little car to drive, although quite challenging imo. Also turned off racing line for the first time, going to drive without it from now on. Learning the track while also learning the car is quite challenging! Also not quite sure how to set up the FR, as I'm not sure if it's my driving that's bad that is causing the issues or the car lol.

One really weird thing though...I haven't played this game since several weeks, maybe almost a month. Last time I played was still pre-2.0. I selected Germany for the local championship for Formula Rookie, first race at Oschersleben. When I started the game up yesterday, I went into practice, and it was at Outlon Park. I thought weird, I thought I chosen Germany. Not thinking too much and that I might have misremembered, practiced and finally last lap before session was over I finally got it down and got 2nd place. Move on to Quali. Now I'm at Oschersleben!!! Never happened to me before lol. Obviously learning the new track during quali was not ideal, so I could only manage 11th place.

Anyone here has already unlocked the "Win 2 and 4 Team Championships" invitationals?
no, i can't even if i have won every champioship both individual and team since kart (now gt3)
I can't unlock 175 laps invitational either even if i unlocked 500 and 1000 laps.
The invitational menu is bugged (hey something bugged in this game?! really!?) and sometimes is not showing unlocked invitational.

the next races you can play in the next patch update

I don't think karts have ever been done well enough in a game. There must some sort of characteristic they have that doesn't translate well to virtuality

A pity because they're fun, fun, fun in reality-world :D

So after telling you guys about the disappointment I had about not completing defending champion I finished off the season and won the last 2 races and had 164 points at the end to 1st place 169 points. He finished outside the top 10 and didn't get no points for neither race. So finish the season and had two choices. Renew my contract and stay with my team in LMP1 or go to formula A. I am not all that great at driving formula A cars yet. I'm ok. I feel like I'm not ready to drive that yet. Now if it was formula rookie or formula c then yea. So I'm doing another season of LMP1. But! I have yet to complete the American masters cup in LMP1. So going to do that along with more inventationals and try to win the world championship in LMP1... Again. And hopefully once I'm done with the season they will give me more contract options. I'm in season 11 btw.

I'm in season 67 now but i can not play all races ( watch photo's) In total I do still 5 races and I 'm all done with the carreer BUT it can only play afther the new update they say !! Why wait again for a patch update ?

@DutchRacing Why does it say that you didnt yet complete the defending champ accolade on the left but says that you completed it on the right (yes)? Did you start multiple careers?
Once I got the Defending Champ accolade on LMP1 season, I went backwards on my career disciplines to Formula Rookie and my screen showed the exact same thing. (All this on the same savefile)

I'm a small bit confused with the career path at the moment. I'm on Super Karts now, and I can't wait to get rid of them. This makes me wonder whether I'd like Formula Rookie and the likes afterward. My favorite class is GT3 (which I play solo nearly all the time), and I sort of want to do a season with those and other normal cars.

However, I'm also not sure whether I want to do lots of endurance races that may come with the prototypes yet. And, furthermore, I want to reach Formula A ideally. My question is: would you be able to go down a road car career path, and then be still offered a chance to switch to Formula A afterwards, or do you have to click the ranks with the lower formulae?

So I've got into Endurance Racing in an Audi R18, and for the first half of the season I chose to race the American Endurance Championship. I completed both Practice sessions and then got myself 2nd in qualifying. Then today I came to do the race, and found that instead of being in the Watkins Glen AEC race, the game has me doing the Road Atlanta Race for the Prototype 1000 Championship, starting last....
After a couple of attempts to do the Race went horribly due the lack of any set-up and the suicidal AI, I retired from the race in the hope that it'd let me do my Watkins Glen race, but no, I now have to do the rest of this championship :banghead:

So yeah, GG SMS on that one....

The only time road cars have come up in my career is invitationals at the end of a season, unless you are referring to GT/touring cars. In which case yes, you can do a few seasons then jump across to open wheelers. I'm not sure if you can go straight to formula A without winning one of the other lower tier open wheel championships - maybe someone else can help with that part of your question.

The other option is just start a career in Formula A from the beginning.

My career is over. I got a failure to save message. I deleted a bunch of replays and it quit giving the save error message but when next I tried loading the game kept getting a failure to load. I'm stuck having to start over. The incompetent buffoons at SMS have known about this issue but have failed to resolve it and failed to even warn people that replays can cause this problem.

I understand your frustration but please do not call SMS employees or anyone for that matter "retards". I have a relative who has special needs and that word is really offensive to me and others. Anyway, I'm sure that SMS will address the issue and fix it in an update.

Alright, I'll reword it.

At any rate, my disc is a coaster until there's a fix. If they don't fix it by September 10, this disc won't ever see my Xbox again because Forza Motorsport 6 will be here.

Problem with Forza is that career mode there is not bugged, but flawed by default. 2 or 3 lap races are a joke. So even if it's bug free it's no fun at all.
