Finished my GT3 season in the Euro GT championship with a final round that went to the wire. Was 2pts behind another driver going into the final race, so all I needed to do was keep him behind me and we had a neck and neck battle at the first race at Monza. Another neck and neck battle in the final race at Monza saw me manage to beat him to the finish and take the championship.

Now in a LMP2 Oreca Nissan in the Euro LMP2 championship, this thing is just stunningly quick and a joy to drive quick.

From what I've tested, the RWD P2 seems a lot better everywhere, through the corners, faster on the straights, but more understeery than the Oreca. Personally, the Oreca is more fun, but if they gave it better straight line speed, it would be more competitive.

One more to go!

Is there anyway to start a career in an Audi R8 or McLaren P1? I can't see any road car competitions.

Or do I have to start in something else to progress to it?

Or thirdly is there no career league featuring road version supercars?

Road cars are only used for invitational, which consist of a mix of either single races or multi event seasons, you do get plenty of opportunity to use the road cars.

Thanks Scaff, disappointed they skipped road cars as a career path but at least I know I'm not doing anything wrong so far!

Won the LMP1 world championship and completed the hero to zero goal and the triple crown historic goal as well.:D It was such a epic battle for the championship. Me and the guy that finish second to me in the championship kept just going back and forth in wins. At the end of it we both had 3 wins. The last race was interesting though. I had a 5 point lead over second and the guy that was as second in the standings started in the back like in 17th. I started 5th and ran 2nd in the race until I spun with like 3 minutes to go. I hit the wall and had right front suspension damage and then like with a minute to go my engine blew and I was out. But man I got lucky. The guy that I was battling for the championship finish 12th and he didn't receive any points. So yep turn out really good. Now I'm trying to think about defending this championship for 3 straight years or move to another series.

You simply don't get that experience in Forza or GT do you? I like FM5 (and soon FM6) for the amount of cars, the livery editor and pootling about a bit

pCARS has the pure racing experience done very well imo. FM6 and GT7 (eventually) won't compete in that area

Nope I don't sadly. That's the thing that GT is lacking in is career along with at least competitive AI. But back on topic I decided to resign with the team and I'm going for the defending champion historic goal. Once I get done with that I'm going to other series I haven't done yet.

Loving career so far...48 hours in...just won the US GT3 cup with the Z4.

The lighting on the last meeting at Road America was stunning..started out as misty in the morning but then the sun broke through and it was gleaming on the cars in front of me...its the dynamic tome and weather which really sets this game apart. Also the other AI cars on track look amazing.

I tend to win a cup the 2nd time around after coming around 3rd-5th the first time. Then i know the weather pattern and pit strategy hehe.

First series finished (Clio Cup), won by 40 odd points. Generally 90% Ai, I'm still getting used to them being so much quicker in race than practice. Some excellent battles in the final race at Brands GP, in the first race I had a bad first lap and went down to 3rd, then spent 7 laps chasing 2nd, generally always .5-1s behind but got a great final corner and got 2nd by .1 over the line.

Probably skip the Go kart invitational, then probably the road event thing that I just got invited to!

First racing game that I've enjoyed not winning career races on.

Quick question: if im doing zero to hero, and get to LMP1, can i move back down to another series (GT3, Formula A, Endurance, etc.)

How do I disable audio via the DS4? It's annoying when that woman's voice starts blaring not to mention your manager/coach during a race. I just changed it via Options on GTA5 but don't see an option to do it for Pcars. Thanks

you either have to disable the pit engineer completely from the options menu or simply turn your DS4 off, then this audio will come through your speakers with the rest of it. not sure about the female voice, i've found it inconsistent in the past where sometimes she wouldn't say anything when i felt she should.

Just got into Formula Rookie. Well only was able to drive in practice for about 5 min, but they are a weird sucker. Can't wait to try it out extensively tonight!

I finished my second season in career today after winning the Ginetta GT5 Cup and participating in some invitational events at the end of the season. I received a lot of contract offers, about eight or nine. Four from GT4 and maybe three from Formula C. Yet I decided to decline them and sign the only offer available from another class to jump straight into GT3. Going to drive the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 and am really looking forward to it. Another thing I am excited about are the longer weekends. Finally proper races with an entertaining amount of laps, not those short races you run with the Clios or Ginettas that were over before you could even blink twice. Besides, I hope the competition will be tough because it was really underwhelming in the Ginetta Cup, even with the AI at 100.
I am still undecided which GT3 series I am going to take part in with having the choice between the UK, US, and Asia championship. Guess I will leave out the UK Cup as I raced these tracks a lot in recent times. So the US and Asia series are remaining. But I am leaning more towards the US championship because I find the tracks more appealing at the moment.

However, there is still time to think about all that as there are some cool invitationals waiting for me before the season starts :)

at the moment clio cup has been the hardest challange for me, with silverstone round being the hardest race. Gt5 with ginetta is supereasy. gt4 with ginetta or aston martin v8 is super easy too, the only problems arise from bugs related to weather.

Now i entered gt3 with the bmw z4.. it's the easier classes of the them all till now, way easier then gt5 ginetta. I raced in laguna seca with AI at 80% and i scored pole with 5 seconds gap.. i had the race with 25 laps and could barely keep awake after lapping them all twice.

I still do not get how difficult levels work in this game.. i expected them to be progressive.. but it's not the case.

Huh, really? I thought this donwscaling of the AI is just present in the lower tiers. So AI at 100% should be 100% now and not just 95% or something anymore. Nonetheless, I don't know why your AI is so slow in Laguna Seca, it seemed to me to be one of the fastest tracks for them. Had a race there in the M1 Procar and I did terrible at 100 whereas most of the time the AI strength fits rather well. When I got a very good lap together, I still couldn't even get into the top 10 in practice or qualifying. Then I spun in the race and became last by many, many seconds.
Maybe because I was already playing Patch 2.0 with improvements made and you were using an older version?

Superkarts... Ai on 100%. Blow them out lf the water every race, by at least 5 to 7 seconds. Please tell me every level in career isnt this easy?

I'm on 1.5 on console.

i found clio cup the hardest. All the other championships (i'm in gt3 now from karts) are super easy at 80%. While i found many invitational events to be super hard even on ai 80%

Just won the GT3 Euro cup by quite some way on 80%. Onto Formula Rookie next and my first taste of open wheel, think i will stick it on 90% and see what the challange is like.

When Patch 2.0 appears im going to go back to the Clio Cup on 100% as i loved it so much....im a bit gutted there wont be a custom championship though.

Im going to have to up the length of the later tier career cups to get more of that aspect..

Well, that could be the difference.

Edit: Just looked trough the release notes of Patch 2.0: "Laguna Seca – improved the AI performance as they were running too slow in some sections."

I actually find that invitationals are rather easy in general. But yes, the Clio Cup is definitely very competitive.

Sorry if this one's already been asked but having ditched my Xbox career to restart on my newly bought PC, I'm near the end of my first season in December, I've just won a couple of Kart One trophies and it's given me an option to finish the season or I can do the Lakeville Focus Challenge. If I'm going to do Zero To Hero should I skip the invitational or will it still give me a superkarts offer after the Focus Challenge? I skipped all the other invitationals.

This. For sure. The Clio was pretty tough, but I too found that the invitational one races have superior AI so I have to bump the AI to 60-70 to even be competitive. Some championships like the TC Euro was super easy @ 80% once I made a quick tune for the Mitsu.

I made a stupid error in the US GT3 series, which was driving slowly for a few laps because I thought I would run out of fuel if I didn't. But after doing the math, I realised that the amount of fuel (80 litres for 31 laps) was sufficient to get to the finish. I thought that my car was using 3 litres a lap but in reality it was using 2.5 litres per lap. Still managed to finish 7th
