Chances of Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo's

But think about it. Do you REALLY believe that all the good cars would really be gone even with what you mentioned? There are still nice exotics in the game even if they aren't made by Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Maserati, Koenigsegg, McLaren, or whoever. For example, while it may not be purely dominant, I do love the slick Jaguar XJ220. Isn't that an exotic? Isn't the Cizeta a solid auto even with its fallacies? They aren't the only companies who make pure sports cars and sweet exotics? Let's not forget America's Ford GT and the Saleen S7. You can still have fun with exotics and supercars even if they aren't Ferraris and such. That's why I'm not as borthered about all this.

There is actually nothing to back up either of thoes claims. A, that Lambo was originally going to be in GT4, sure they may have been tested but that doesn't mean they were all set to be in. And b that a lot of cars were taken out with the online mode. To my knowledge there were absolutely no cars removed when the online was done away with. The only car I know of missing is the classic Mini in the PAL and US versions, other than that theres nothing.

Well I do have hard evidence that they did 3d model and record some lambos.
And would you care to show us all this hard evidence.

Nope, it only mentions recordings, theres nothing about creating a polygon model for GT4 in there.

They visited Jay leno with intentions of seeing the lambo muira.
They had the following of equipment with them(Why bring a 3d camera if theyre not looking to use it) :

And then they asked if they could take pictures, and I said yeah. It's interesting, they had a special 3D camera that no one else is allowed to see. It's the trick piece of kit that allows them to make the car look so realistic in the game.

Yes, but u said u had hard evidence that said they ''took'' 3d models, i read the entire article and they were looking to take these models. If they were even taking these models it wud be for gt4, as far as i can see that article was for gt4...not GT5

I never said it was for GT5. I said that they wanted to have lambo in gt4 but didnt for wateva reason and so that maybe this time round they deliver us Lambo in gt5. They wouldnt visit the guys house just to look at the cars obviously they did take models of the lambos.

A 3d camera isn't something that creates a 3d polygon model, PD have tested loads of cars that never made it into GT4, they tested a Radical, Marcos GT racers, shed loads of stuff that was never in the running for GT5. We don't know what the purpose of getting that data from the Lambo, however my guess is, simply to have the data on record to be archived incase it could be used at a later date. We know PD did that with other cars during GT4's development so why not this time. This is not hard evidence at all, it doesn'tmention 3d models and the Lambo being set to appear in GT4.

Must..have...V8 MGZT-T....

And the Rover 45 would be funkay too.

Man u took the words right out of my mouth  . and i agree with u. All i can say is that we are not fully sure about the lambo situation and only time will tell.....

I would love to have them in. Especially if there were McLaren F1 road cars, and if Porsche provided the 1998 911 GT1 Le Mans winner, I absolutely love that car in that livery. But also in the Zakspeed livery as well. Just a thought. Why is it always said that GT can't have damage because the maufacturers dont want it, but they have it in Forza, they had it n NFS: Hot Persuit 2 and so on, which also had Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini.

Just one more thing, If we have VW, Bentley (should have CGT, Arnage, etc along with LM Car), Audi and Seat, then why can't we have Lamborghini, and even more so, can we have Bugatti? for the Veyron and EB110

It's down to effort, system capability and money. Damage wasn't included in GT4 simply beacuse the PS2 was being pushed too hard as it was and wouldn't have been able to handle it, Kaz has already said damage will be a feature of GT5. In the past, manufacturers have been picky about their cars being seen damaged in a game, but now it's generally a case of okay, but you'll have to pay us more.

This can go prettydeep, basically, just because VAG owns Lamborghini and PD have a license for VW's and Audi's that doesn't mean the license covers Lamborghini's as well. You normally would need a seperate license for each different manufacturer used ragardless of weather or not the manufacturer has a parent company or not. As for the cars, sometimes you need a license for a single model, say you want to put Noble in game your making, depending on how negotiation over a contract go between you and Noble you may be offered a single license covering a number of cars but not every car made, if your lucky you may get a chance to get a licence giving you access to anthing made by Noble withthe Noble badge on, or Noble could make you get a seperate license for each model you want to use in the game, so if you want the M10, M12 GTO and M14 you'd need 3 seperate licenses. It gets a lotmore complicated than that but I could be typing all night and I'm tired engough as it is, I've been awake 2 days.

I think some ferraris and porsches would be nice but of course there is that license problem. In previous games there have sort of been porshces but they were given the name RUF. They are good cars.

Omologato
As far as I know, Microsoft has a deal with Lamborghini as well, as in the new PGR3 screen shots, I have seen a Murciélago.
Lamborghini is a manufacturer that is playing its cards sneaky this time generation because it appears the company will not let one company hold its license, but in returrn, prices for using the Lamborghini name and cars could be high.

So which do you want? High prices for independent company, or possibly lower, and only available in possibly fewer games?

I've checked with officials around me, and its a case of running the mill themselves.

There has been Ruf's, not re-named Porsche's. Ruf are a seperatecar manufacturer, the cars they build and sell are not Porsche's.

An exclusive license would cost a lot more, i Lamborghini are going to offer you a 5 year license thats exclusive so noone else can use Lamborghini's they will make sure that they will still earn as much as or more profits than several non-exclusives over the next 5 years. If an exclusive license cost less, everyone would want exclusive's and the manufacturers would never give them out. They might make more profit now selling non-exclusives but the cost of a non-exclusive license is far, far less than an exclusive one.

RUF's are crap and you know it as a substitute for Porsche. I actually don't think they are that good, They're heavy and they dont look as nice as their Porsche counterparts. I love the look of the standard Boxster and especially the wheels and front bumper on a standard 996 or 996 facelift Porsche. The colours for Porsches are nicer as well.

Plus I want all the 911 GT1s in the game, especially the 98 Le Mans car. RUF cant give me that

Quite frankly if I was Marketing Director for Noble (or any mnfr with sporting aspirations) I would be begging KY to put my cars in their game. Nobody bought FTOs in UK before GT1, and who outside of UK had heard of TVRs? Trouble is Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche don't NEED to advertise, so they're not going to put their neck out of joint to get in the game. But Maserati? Bugatti? Ariel? They should be getting their arses in gear...

Yeah, but a Yellowbird will be worth more than the 996 or 997 Carreras, Targas, and most others and will still b*tch slap that Boxster in the face.

If anything, maybe Porsche is the substitute for a Ruf. And how are they ugly? The only thing different on the exterior is the wheels and very minor changes....

Colors for Porsches are nicer? There's a thing called "rechanging the color."
Rufs are more exclusive and will be worth more money than most Porsches today.

There's no way a CTR 2 is crap. There are very few stock road cars that can beat it right off the starting line from what I've seen.
