Wow there is some really awesome shots in here. I'm just a little mad I took a couple pictures with the intent of entering them and I forgot the rules! I took the pictures with another contest in mind!

FINAL ENTRY

Hard to choose from the photos I took this week, eventually decided on this one.

If this violates the rules in any way, please let me know and I'll fix it.
FINAL ENTRY

Edit: I completely forgot about the rule against adding objects to the photo. I have now changed to a version without any added objects...
Edit2: ...and no hue... :dunce:

FINAL ENTRY

I hope this is OK, I only used the tools that are normally used in the 2.0 contest (Radial Blur and Brightness/Contrast), I was just creative with them :P

I don't think it's HDR, he appears to have used the Dodge tool to brighten the wheel; the area behind the wheel itself displays some terrible banding due to the over-use of the tool!

But it's the wierd shadowing on the right front, and light halo around the top and bottom of the car that gives it the look like it's HDR.
Edit: Yeah i'm 90% sure it's HDR. Photomatix did the same artifacts on my Lancia that's also black, i think he used 3 exposures, -1, 0,+1

I see what you mean but I still don't think it's HDR. HDR wouldn't produce banding like that as the data from a lighter photo would be there in full. Either way I'd be more worried about what happened to the grilles and the middle of the wheels!

Yeap. It was HDR.
Sorry, didn't notice that HDR was not allowed.

I verified (because it was an old photo), and the banding and the weird aspect of the grilles come directly from the original capture, and was -2, 0, +2

Good eye, you two.

I have altered my entry so that it now fits within the rules. Completely forgot about the rule against adding objects to your photo. :dunce: My contribution is now kosher. :)
I added it to my original post btw.

Thought my shot would get recognised this time :(
May be I entered it at the wrong time, mixed with a blur of black and white..
