Signing up to be a part time driver for team Robie-Brown. Lotus engines

Id like #51, my car is silver with black trim.

Age 36, very sensible driver that knows how to drive responsible in traffic. I'll be available Sep 7 for a preseason day, as long as it doesnt interfere with my 49ers game at 4:30 ET. I can be on before or after that.

#51 is a retired number. Please choose another. Please private message me your number of choice and e-mail.
I'd like to join this series as my own part time team.
I'll message you information to fill out.

I urge all drivers to read the rule guide thoroughly. I want to pass the same message to everyone. The Turtle Beach IndyCar Series is happy to welcome all serious racers, but we need everyone on the same page.

Finally earned permission to do this, and I love it...To open up the preparation for the 2014 Indianapolis 500 and 2015 TBICS season, I will be hosting a one-off TBICS 400 at The Brickyard. Only 15 entries will be accepted. Please contact me on PSN if you are interested in racing it.

Eva, great job with handling all the media for the series. Superb job really. Any chance you'll take a vacation lol? It'll be a treat watching the series race for sure.

Could you please clarify the Team Championship rules. As its worded, it sounds like whoever is the individual champion will also automatically win the team championship everytime.

Id like to suggest a rule change for determining the team championship. Id prefer we take the best points day per race from ONE driver per team. This way its possible to get a different team champion, instead of the individual champion's team. So say as a part time driver, I placed the best from my team a particular race. Then my points day would represent my team's contribution that race to the team championship. So maybe my teammate who made all the races winds up being the champion, but my points day was better than him a particular race, it gives a part time driver a sense of pride (and something to drive for) his contribution one race made a real impact toward his team winning the team title. As opposed to just feeling like a field filler if you cant make a legit run at the individual title by making every race. And bonus points earned per race by each team's highest finishing driver SHOULD count, because if I lead most laps that day, it should count for something for the team total. This system makes it fair for a team that put 4 drivers in a race one day vs a team that only had one guy show up. As long as 1 guy per team makes every race, that driver's contribution each race matters. Just tally points from each team's best finisher per race. A team would only fall behind in the team championship contest if they failed to put even 1 driver in a race. Then you better hope EVERY team completely misses a race at some point in the season.

To explain Team Championship, it is the best driver of that race for that team. AGNT009, I think you misread somewhere because that's essentially what it says. Bonus points haven't ever, and will not count towards a Team Championship. Pole position is the only extra point that counts. All and all, that's essentially what it IS, not what it should be.

Now, on a professional note, it also isn't your place to try and spark confusion. You have a team principal. Talk to him before making these misguided outcries.

To make the perfect example, the 2013 season had a different driver and team champion. PsychoPerra1192 driving for Diablo Pantera Racing won the Drivers Championship, while Cherokee Motorsports dominated the Team Championship by having a driver on podium almost every race.

Agreed, I talked to him about it.

For as specifically worded as the OP is, that point isnt clarified enough. It can come across as you just looked at the highest points driver on each team at the end of the season, and all his finishing positions in each race werent factored in. If it was done that way, a part time driver's contribution would never mean anything towards anything. Thats why I want it clarified, to determine how much effort Im going to give to competing part time.

Im not trying to spark confusion, or whatever Im being scolded for. Im genuinely confused on that point. There was nothing in the long list of rules I read that said I couldnt ask that question here. Lighten up guys. For all the attention to detail the OP has, and Im a details guy, that point isnt completely clear to a new guy.

So it IS what Im asking for, minus points for leading laps. Seems silly to factor in meaningless pole position, and not laps led, but ok.

As a registered and certified safety car driver through the "Safety Car Club" will I have to take any supplementary tests to be eligible to help pace this series? I race CORE WEC every other Sunday and sometimes have backup driver commitments on occasion, so I may not be able to be present for every race/session.

This is not me asking to do a full-time job, just when you need me and I have the time available.

No. The three we already have selected for the Sunday races do not need any additional tests. What we're looking for now is someone who can be available when none of the primary three are.

As for the bonus point dilemma, we value pole position far higher than leading laps because let's face it, the lap that tells the tale is the final lap. We also have an award for the person/people who earn the most pole positions in a season. It was that way from 2010-2013 and none of us officials wanted it changed. To me personally, I wouldn't count any bonus points because some teams, despite being a team, don't work together, so it isn't really a team effort, but I respect the pole position point. Starting position does help out a lot.

That's great for those three. But am I qualified to step in if/when need arises, as a relief driver for the weekend?

Due to the large number of teams, cshardy62096 has re-established a previous rule that stipulates that all drivers for a particular team must utilize the same colored car as his/her teammates, and has set the team limit to 16. With that said, teams will be allowed to select car color based on the following:
1: 2013 Team Championship standings (Cherokee Motorsports, Black Rose Racing Team, Frostfire Racing)
2: Date of when team joined the series (Sly Fox Racing, Banzai Racing, CriminalMdoc Racing, Bennett Racing, Jayden Thurlow Racing, Hollister Breaker Racing, Team LionRacers, IGTRC, Michelin Racing, Nike, Swift Autosport, Robie-Brown Racing)

The teams that fall under rule 1 have chosen the following:
Cherokee Motorsports-Lotus: Red
Black Rose Racing Team-Chevrolet: Red/Chrome
Frostfire Racing-Honda: Blue

Teams that fall under rule 2 will be messaged on PlayStation Network to be notified when they can make their color selection.

EDIT: The rule 2 order can be bypassed if it is deemed that a particular team does not have the deemed ability to change color schemes in time for the season.
