An Owner's Thoughts
April 3rd 2015

Today we caught up with Formula Cup owner, and driver N. Fear. We asked him questions about his team, and his season.

"Thanks for taking the time to talk with me today Nick."

"Glad to do it Seth."

"First question Nick. What are your expectations for yourself and the team this season?"

"Well, we're hoping to make it high in the constructors championship this season. Though it looks like we have some strong contenders this season. B. Deer and J. Lantern seem to be putting in some pretty strong laps in the early testing stages, which may end up paying dividends when it comes to qualifying. My teammate seems to be doing the same as well, however I haven't actually driven much in testing yet. I'm banking that we can consistently bring in the points."

"Are there any drivers on the grid or looking for a drive. That you are worried about?"

"Mainly Deer or T. Robe just because of consistenty. There are many drivers that I have met who can go quickly, but can't keep it on the track. There are other drivers, similar to me that have difficultly racing close on some tracks. Brad has the racing experience and quite a bit of pace, Robe has the overall race pace as well. I for see it being difficult our car to stay ahead of those two."

"There are 18 races on the schedule. What race do you being your teams biggest problem and why? As well what track do you feel your team has the best chance of getting a 1-2 finish?"

"Our biggest problem is a transition from the former IndyCar series which is the tires. Our team is working tremendously on making sure we can get the tires to go the distance in the races so that we can work in more strategies.

Usually from what I have seen is that the tyres seem to give us the laps but also fall off very quickly. Especially while in traffic when there is less front downforce. Making a full setup to help our drivers conserve the tyres throughout the race may make a huge difference in the race results as cooking the front tyres my help in qualifying. But it can stop you dead in a race."

"Last question Nick does your team have any plans to do private testing? If so where at?"

"We usually test in the GT Arena for Torque output, Stage Route X for Fuel Numbers, Bathurst for Aero, and Circuit de LA Sierra for Suspension."

"Thanks again for taking the time to talk with me Nick. Hopefully we'll get to talk to you again throughout the season."

"Glad to do it Seth. I hope so to I had a lot of fun here today."

Well there you have it. Nick Fear feeling pretty good about how everything is going during this off season. So until next time thanks for tuning in.

hi there every one, to day i founda spot on the pit wall on special stage route 5, that will cause your car to shoot the other side on the track, as well giving you left front tire damage. i have a replay for you to watch if you would like to see it.

Same deal at Laguna Seca, where there are only 6 car grids. Is say that we should jut use the games standing start feature, as it'll evenly space us out and deal with false starts.

I will look into those two specific tracks. Asides from those two rounds, I won't be changing the already set procedure. The only thing set to change at the moment are the car regulations.

A Deer's Desire
April 6th 2014

We catch up with B. Deer. Who's currently looking a ride in the Formula Cup Series.

We've caught up with Brad Deer a driver who's still looking for a team that really wants to sign him. We decided while we had him we'd ask him a few questions about his plans for the Formula Cup Season.

"Thank you for taking the time out of your busy testing schedule to talk to us today Brad."

"My pleasure Seth."

"First question Brad, currently there are six teams looking for a driver. Have any teams confronted you about driving for them? If so who?"

"I've heard rumors that there were teams interested in having me as a driver.

For me that's really humbling and cool that there are folks out there who want me in their car, but at this stage they're only rumors.

I've only had one team contact me about it but at this stage I can't tell you which team that is. It's all in the wings at this stage, hopefully we can bring it center-stage soon."

"Are there any teams that stand out to you that could have an extremely good season? If so who?"

"I think every team has potential this year. Everyone has different qualities to their driving and when you get the right mix with two drivers, magic will happen.

While I think every team has potential, three stand out to me at this stage. I've tested with drivers from No Flex Racing, Legacy Racing, and Black Rose Racing and in every instance, the raw pace and ability that their cars and drivers have shown really leadsme to believe they will be exceptional this season."

"Once you are signed what track do you feel you have the best chance of getting a podium or win at and why?"

"Probably one of the more difficult circuits like Rome. I feel my strong point is consistency so if I can keep all four wheels in the right direction I'll be okay for the most part on any circuit."

"Last question. Do you have any plans to do private testing with any of the teams looking for a driver? If so who?"

"I'll test with just about anyone who wants to test with me to be honest. As of now I don't have any plans for an organized team test but I'll run some laps whenever I can get the opportunity."

"Once again I'd like to thank you for taking the time to talk with me today Brad."

"You're welcome Seth but really the pleasure is all mine."

Well there you have it race fans. B. Deer a driver who's really fighting to get a spot in the Formula Cup Series.
