Yeah, that sounds a lot better. When I have time, I'll to build something around that. 12sec. Civic has a kit, so after I get the meat put together, he can add the potato's. :)
 
:) Just save your sheckles and all the empty egg cartons you can get your hands on. If you want one bad enough, it will happen. Maybe in time, but it will happen.

I have a kit and I am a drummer, but I'd think I'd rather play the guitar if you guys need one. Another guitar can't hurt, right? :D

I've already got two song ideas on the server, both of me playing the acoustic guitar...
 
It's still there, just had a lot of personal life stuff happin' lately. Will resume the project next week. :)

I'm not saying it's your fault or responcibility, don't get me wrong! It's just that I havn't heard anyone else contribute....
 
Hey all,
I've just really taken notcie of the thread and think it's agreat idea. I play the electric guitar and clarinet and I'm n a band, except at the moment, we're kinda stopped for a bit and if created quite a few melody's and rythms if you lot are interested. I'm gonna try and hook up a mick and make some recordings!
But if that fails, if i can find anyone else who is willing to help I could make up some tabs and and send them to some one to play into a mick and sub mit. I'd love to help you guys out. Although my style is kinda between Rage Against The Machine to a bit lighter stuff to kinda Radiohead style. :confused:
 
Is this project dead? I have 20+ years experience as a guitar player. My style is an Eddie Van Halen / Joe Satriani finger flash, with just the right amount of bluesy slop to it. I can play cool jazz stuff too. I can play a hot surf guitar also, but I don't have a Fender amp right now.

I can send a VHS tape of some song ideas if you guys still don't have one. Sorry, I don't have a computer that connects to the net. If you have a recording of an idea already, is there a place I can hear it without having to "download" it? Maybe I can add a hot riff or two.

Yeah, I'm just as confused with Solid Lifter with this. Is it dead anyone. I'd love to help. Hey solid I'd be quite keen to hear you play if you have some stuff which is audiable?
 
Well, this project isn't actually dead, there just wasn't a whole lotta response is all.... rjensen11 did upload a little didy, but that has been the jist of it. It did inspire a melody and chorus, so if you guys are into, and have the means to digitally record yourself, let me know...

If you have a microphone for your computer at home, you could play what you want, record it onto your computer, and maybe put it on a disk, USB key, CD, or something, then upload it where you can...
 
Okay, I just got a mixing program called Cool Edit Pro 2. If people could contribute for things such as bass, drums, etc, I could get the instrumentals done, or if we get basically more than just 1 part, I can put them together and for convienence I could save them as mp3's or whatnot.
 
I could probably extract the audio from a mpeg.... Is this something new you could record, or is this something that you have already recorded?
 
My dads manged to borrow a brand new video camera off of his cousin. So I'd imagine I could probably plug it into the USB on my PC. It would be somthing new though.
 
If I can figure out how to get some guitar riffs onto my computer via a microphone of some sort, I will definetely contribute. My dad knows a lot about file conversing and mpegs and pretty much anything that has to do with getting files, music, or uploading to the internet. I'll ask him within the next couple days, and get back to you guys.

But as for my style, it's kind of a mix between System of a down - Led Zeppelin - Audioslave - and the new Metallica. I can improvise and give you tons and tons of riffs within about an hour, once I can send you all the files. I can definetely give you a riff to base upon and build - just tell me what style, what timing - 3/4, 4/4, etc.

Hey Pako, are you still doing this thing? I've managed to get myself a recordable mini-disc player and when I get the mic for it tommorrow, I'm gonna record some of my stuff on to pc. So if you're still up for it, I'll send you some tunes if you want?:confused:
 
Lets do it. I still have rifs from rjensen11 saved so yeah....lets do it! :)
 
I think this is a good idea and I play guitar and clarinet. I could help out in the making of beautiful music. I was wondering is it ok if I use sound recorder? and if there are anyplaces where I can upload or do I send the file to someone. This is a project worth taking place in.

Nice! I got some files from Piglet and Wee_man! Very nice! I think there's a lot of material to work with so I'll put a basic song structure together and upload it so other's who want to contribute, can contribute what was previously recorded.

I really would love to hear this thing. I think I could add something; I'm a drummer but I'm not sure how good I could upload the recording. Maybe a guitar part or something, though. Upload! :)
 
Yeah Pako is there any chance as you mentionjed above that you could post something up. I heard Piglets and compaired to mine I can't see an instant connection. I hope you can do something with it. Infact I've already started trying to work something out that will go along with Piglets :). Anywayz if you could I dunno update us or something or put up all the stuff we've got so far :).

Some good stuff there btw Piglet. Sods I was nosy enough to d/l it myself ;).
