Yeah sorry about that Jacque, I never intended for it to get dark, I just got the time settings a little wrong. Next time I'll do better ;)

As far as my race was concerned it got off on the wrong foot straight away. Not 30 seconds after I'd asked people to take it easy, there were cars flying off the track, colisions, people trying to overtake in the first sector, it was a bit crazy.

Naturally I was pretty annoyed and so I wasnt as relaxed as I should of been. Then I had a car driving 2 inches from my gearbox trying to pressure me into a mistake or something. I hit a bit of grass and that was that. Lap one, first 4 minutes and out of an hour and a half race. Great fun.

Next week we're at Spa. I'll pick out two cars incase the majority have not bought the DLC.

Shin, at first no problem for darkness as fas as me. I had raced there only once till yesterday and it was in Concours again. So:
1) Lights give more light and especially for bigger distance
2) Physics model is finally supreme IMO even online where in past I didn't like it much
3) Managed 9 laps on 1 set of tires and only in last 1-2 laps I was sliding much
4) I didn't get how I started on pole position. Just after the start I heard the horn from one of you behind me and I thought that I have to make a way for you, but the lost concentration led to major damage and 3mins distance from the leader.
5) I didn't believe that just before my eyes close, I will manage to keep it on the road on Nordscheifle night with these worn tires after 1.30H of race.

In conclusion, a great experience for me! TY Concours.

My race started strange. The first part it felt like someone was besides me and behind me giving me slight taps constantly. There were no cars there so i assumed it was lag or something.

After Flügplatz i had no cars in my rear view and could see Shin and John very close ahead of me. At the bottom of the foxhole i saw Shin put a tyre on the grass or on the curb at very high speed and swap ends. I managed to stay in touch with John the whole lap and then he made a small mistake before pflanzgaten and i was in the lead, with a recovering John, Pag, Cpt_D, and Crispy in hot persuit.

The next two laps we were close but then i made a mistake at the end of lap 3 and got damage. Down to fifth.
After that i was alone for the whole race, making good progress but throwing it all away with a couple 180's.
Passed a slow moving Cpt_Disaster after the "miss-hit-miss" but couldn't make up ground on the leaders.
Crashed out on turn 2 on lap 9 and drove the whole lap with damage.

I enjoyed the race very much though.
I drove all night with HUD off and cockpit cam narrow.
Very enjoyable but also VERY draining. I was totally knackered after.

I made some contact with John and Pag i think.
I am most sorry. I was a passenger at the time.
Also kudos to John for reading the situation and avoiding me, good driving mate.

PS: I enjoyed the darkness very much. The new improved headlights has improved visability a great deal.

PPS: that was me honking the horn randomly. I use a DS3 and with the Cateham i had to be soo quick correcting any oversteer that i honked the horn from time to time.

Nice write up Vegard.

I dont remember swapping paint with anyone, just with the barrier twice & spun out twice, lucky to get no damage throughout the race.

On the banked corners the car just let loose without much warning, patient driving needed.

I slept well after.

Fully agree with RalliArt (John) about the two Carousel corners. Ultra twitchy even with a slight pressure on gas pedal. What a car(t) the Fireblade is...

I had great fun with this car,was first time using manual gears as well and at the end of it I think I shed a few pounds just by sweating haha,

I'm beginning to like the green hell

DLC:lol:

Delayed Loadable Content for us in North America:grumpy:; maybe linked to GT Academy North America?; though they excluded us canucks eh, but we get the delay eh :dopey:

We may be able to run Spa online, but I will not have the cars until the 25th of some future month :yuck:

I am off on my 50th birthday weekend anyway; depending on when we check out, I may not make Sunday for the first time in a while :ill:

Pagina's uses an automatic transmission? Make the shift (pun intended ):)

Well i went and bought the bundle twice by mistake so i have put 6 new cars on sharing for you Jack and anyone else who hasn't got DLC yet.
Let me know if you want me to change cars.

LOL i almost made the same mistake, i was waiting for it to download but it doesnt untill you log onto gt5 and look at the dlc bit lol

SPA is amazing guys looking forward to sunday :D what car we going to use?

I have the DLC all bought up and installed, I guess we are going for the rx-7, so I am playing to get this nailed with lots of practice. I don't want to let Spa down!

Cheers for voting guys.

I'll cut off the input there though so everyone gets enough time to practice. Sorry the podium is late too btw, I'll get that up tomorrow with the official combo.

All you need to know for now though, is you'll be racing at spa, in the RX7 TC 👍

It has come to my attention that the new DLC cars can't be borrowed.
They can only be shared :dunce:

I don't know if the Captain have an alternative car for those without DLC but i would suggest a GT500 car like the '08 GTR or the Lexus (same power, higher weight, better aero)

The rx is a great wee car, loving spa, had a wee 10 lap go last night, will take a bit longer to learn the track, some corners are a bit tighter than they look, but I haven't had an off yet so thats a plus. I'll be on tonight and tomorrow and fri as i'm off, hopefully catch some of you guys then, laters

I'll pick out a car for non DLC contenders very soon Darren. Just needs a little more testing.

Oh and results plus criteria incoming 👍

Hi Melturn, I'll add you this evening so we can get some track time together as soon as possible. Either tonight or tomorrow is preferable, but you must practice with us first if you plan on racing on a weekend. 👍
