@GTvsForza My apologies if this is outdated; I meant to mention this last night; your starting form had a lack of factories and dealerships.

Would anyone be interested in switching the time system to 1 day = half a quarter? It's taking me about an hour to write these reports every night, and it's very tiring. The game will go slower, but much smoother, as I'll be able to pay attention to other things besides finances. If we do switch, I'll make it so that changes to companies and company creations happen with a half-quarter delay, meaning if you post within 24 hours of a profit report, the change will occur on the next report, two days later.

I'll only change it if there is a strong majority of approval, however.

Sorry to disturb you but I think you missed me. I started in first quarter so I should have profits (or losses) in the second.

As for the time system change, I think it would be a good idea.

Oh right, well in that case you can access one more of mine :)

*Staring at Excel for Hours*

Jesus H. Christ, I've really been effing this up. Sedan Body:1170-200=970 left.

@JMoney689
  • Are Turbos and Superchargers treated as add ons, or do they need to be bought and paired to a new engine?
  • Will diesel variants of gas engines need to be new purchases?
  • Is after-the-fact component investing really gonna be worth a damn?
  • Again, does buying a layout once apply to all, or is it to each shared base?
  • Will I be punished if I missed stuff from last fiscal year?

Turbos, Superchargers, and Diesel only need to be bought more than once if it is a different system. The total amount of money spent in the development of cars is a variable in the formula, so yes, it is worthwhile. Buying a layout only applies to each shared base. Not sure what you mean by the last question, but probably not.

Nodody is opposing a time system change, so I'll go ahead and change it. One IRL day will equal a half-quarter, or about 6 weeks, of game time. The next profit report will be posted tomorrow night.

@Turbotwin01 Sorry about that, you made 6390cr; well done.

Can I ask if the move to 1day/1month time shift is happening or not, I have a Goodwood FOS review either for this quarter or July.

During test sessions on Mugello it has been discovered some flaws in the construction of the Atlas and the Maggio, the most severe incident was when the Atlas entered the Biondetti section, while the gearbox didn't. After towing the car back to the pits and recovering the gearbox from a nearby gravel trap it was discovered that Volpe had been paying only the absolute minimum amount for the development of the parts used in the cars. After the test team had reported this to the headquarters an effort to drastically improve the quality of the products was immediately undertaken and no expenses were spared!

In an official statement regarding the incident, the CEO Riccardo Anzilotti said:

201504.jpg

Total balance after this incident is 7 900 cr. This was an unforseen expense, but on the positive side it means that the cars are now much better constructed.

Can I ask if the move to 1day/1month time shift is happening or not, I have a Goodwood FOS review either for this quarter or July.

It seems like it's 1 quarter = 2 days. So one day = 1,5 months.

2015 Q2 Profit Report

@GTvsForza My apologies if this is outdated; I meant to mention this last night; your starting form had a lack of factories and dealerships.
I thought I had a dealership. But I guess I forgot to add the cost.

Here you go:
Factory Location: Boise (small [1,000 Cr.])
Dealership: Boise, L.A. (500 Cr.)
HQ Cost: 500 Cr.

I'll subtract this from what I had:
7,400 Cr. - 2,000 Cr. = 5,400 Cr.

Avalon Q2 Report:
2014 Q4 - 1,700cr

2015 Q2 - 4,310cr (P = 1,820cr/E = 1,000cr)

In light of this good amount of profit, Avalon has been working around the clock to get the AH-3 designed. It is now at a good working concept stage but it is not finished yet.

Car Model Specification Form

Model Name: AH-3
Trim Levels: S, SE, GT
Body Style: Hatchback
Engines: 200-4, 250-4T
Drivetrain: FF
Transmissions: 5-Speed Manual/5-Speed Automatic
Location of Factory: Plymouth, UK
Description:

The AH-3 is our second car, and we are aiming it at an average person. A cheap but highly reliable, brand new I4 is being joined with our highly acclaimed 250-4T from the AS-2. With three trim levels, and lots of room for customisation, the AH-3 is our answer to the well-known and currently class leading Arkell Scamp. It will be put into production in Q1 2016.

Cost of Development: 500cr (FF=250cr, Hatch=100cr, new I4=150cr)

We are also working hard to improve our dealership network, and have therefore built two new dealerships, bringing our total up to nine.

A Lamborghini representative at Pebble Beach was outraged at the name of your car, the Quintach V12 LP-860. He informed Lamborghini's CEO, who informed your company that the name of the car must be changed (as it is similar to "Countach", and it uses the "LP-" Prefix. Like the Countach, it uses a V12.). Lamborghini will sue if the name is not changed, and it will be backed by Audi and Volkswagen.

Red Pill Motor Q2 Report:
t_Red%20Pill%20Logo(1).png.jpg

Q2 Overview: Q2 2015 was a great quarter for Red Pill. We began producing the Xenocide and Vatic, and announced the Faze that will compete in the 2016 Super GT Season. We also announced our entry-level supercar, the Targa, as well as our upcoming LMP1. Despite a great second quarter, we only have 200 credits left.

Headquarters Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA
CEO: All Your Base
Company Type: High-performance cars
Factory Locations: Chesterfield, Missouri, USA and Tokyo, Japan (both handbuilt)
Dealership Locations: St. Louis, Seattle, Bridgeport, Tokyo, New York, Brussels
Number of Car Models: 3
---
Model Name: Xenocide
Body Style: Coupe
Engines: 7.0 litre V12, turbocharged and electric engine
Drivetrain: RR
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Location of Factory: Chesterfield
Cost of Development: 1700 cr
Brief model description:
The Red Pill Xenocide is a brilliant hybrid supercar, packed with a 910-hp 7.0 litre V12 turbo engine and a 200-hp electric engine. The design was built and tested for the best aerodynamics within 10 months. The Xenocide has the best acceleration out there, with a 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, and as a magnificent top speed of 262 mph. The Xenocide is a great car to show off to other people who are into sportscars, as well as sexy women. Also, the car costs a mere $600,000, but we are only making 17 a year.

Model Name: Vatic
Body Style: Sedan
Engine: 5.5 litre V12, supercharged
Drivetrain: FR
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Location of Factory: Chesterfield, Tokyo
Cost of Development: 1100 cr
Brief model description:
The Red Pill Vatic is so called because it's the performance sedan of the future. Our state of the art Vatic sedan holds an impressive 810-hp 6.0 litre supercharged V12. It also has a 2.9 0-60 time, and is lightweight for it's class too (1350 kg). The design is not as brilliant as our flagship Xenocide, but it also attracts women like a magnet. We won't be outmatched by the likes of AMG and BMW M in at least a decade, but it comes with a price of $350,000. Unlike our flagship, though, we are making 40 a year.

Model Name: Faze
Body Style: Super GT GT500
Engine: 4.5 litre V6, naturally aspirated
Drivetrain: MR
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Location of Factory: Tokyo
Cost of Development: 4800 cr
Brief model description:
Red Pill Racing's Faze Super GT GT500 was made to take a slice of the Super GT cake. The design process was similar to that of the Xenocide, we spent about a year designing it to take down Honda, Nissan and Lexus. The Faze GT500 is equipped with a 491-hp naturally aspirated V6, with a 6-speed manual transmission. Our Faze will make it's debut in the 2016 season, with Lucas Ordonez behind the wheel.

Expenditures:

I would like to personally announce that I cannot count, and did not apply the rules as they were intended. That said, I'm recalling all literature and will have a complete and detailed line-up once order has been restored.

Here at Avalon, we have been trying to break into the American car market with our AS-2 for months now. But despite having two dealerships open in the biggest city's in the USA, we are really struggling to sell, and the bulk of our sales still remains in Europe. China are gathering in interest, but our american dealers are hardly selling anything at all. We are optimistic that the Detroit Motor Show will help, but it probably won't.

Evil Overlord CEO Carmain2K had this to say on the matter:

America is a curious market of many European companies, and we are one of them. We consistently try to sell cars in the US, but despite raving reviews by critics over there, the sales are not justifying the effort we are putting in to get cars over there. In order to try and help this, we would like to develop an alliance with a company that has European interests, but is struggling, or simply the reverse of our situation.

We have 9 dealerships, as well as a medium sized factory which is currently producing only 10,000 units per quarter maximum, or a quarter of our maximum production rate. If anyone wants to ally with us then we would happily give you permission to use our dealerships to sell your cars. We feel that this would be a good deal, and I would not advise to pass it up.

As there is much competition for cars, and names come into the problem, we saw the problem, and have taken care if the problem in more than one way:
  • Fired Intern who named car (damn you Joey)
  • Hired New intern, with better car knowledge
  • Renamed car
As quoted by Mr. Bassline:
Mr. Bassline
Although we realize that the Countach, and the previously named Quintach looked nothing like each other, we still fixed the problem. After admitting to this, we heard that Lambo sales have Skyrocketed. Your welcome Lamborghini

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

@Carmain2K We would be interested in an alliance, as we have been having a little trouble with selling in Europe, but our US sales are still going strong. Since we only have 4 dealerships, we would be willing to let you have access to all of them, along with permission to use One of our small factories

Avalon is pleased to say that we are now allied with Bassline Motorwerks. We would to use two of your dealerships, and you get access to 3 of our dealerships - London, UK, Dublin, Ireland and Madrid, Spain. Carmain2K released this statement today:

I am very happy that we have secured a lucrative deal with Bassline Motorwerks.
