I would be fairly interested in acquiring Phoenix Automotive, if you decide to fold. If you're interested in a takeover, it would help if you could make a list of all of your models (you can just quote the posts they're in), tell me how many (and what kind of) factories and dealerships you have, how many credits you currently have, and a brief overview of your financial situation. We could then sort out some sort of arrangement.

Of course, if Phoenix Automotive does well this quarter then you won't need to look into shutting down operations, so I wish you the best of luck. :)
I will see how this quarter does. If I succeed I shall continue. If not you will be the first person I will contact for a takeover.

-Breaking News-

News just in. Sebastien Vettel, who won his fifth world championship a few months ago, has been assassinated in Munich. He was talking with one of his childhood friends when he was killed by a long distance sniper. The sniper was captured and was found to be retired F1 driver Mark Webber. Because of this, Red Bull Racing got 10 million from Vettels will, and are developing a new supercar to take on the Mclaren P1. Christian Horner had this to say:

Vettel was an inspiration to us all. It is so sad he had to go so soon. Few of us will ever get over the loss. We are making a car, called the Vettel, to remember the sheer dedication that he raced with. My wishes go out to his family.

The Red Bull Vettel will go on sale next June.
Umm...what? Are you even a mod?

In order to gain stronger sales in the remaining quarters, Orion Automotive will be opening a new dealer in Edinburgh, Scotland and our first dealer in England will be in Manchester, England at a cost of 500cr.

We will gauge reaction from potential American customers at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on whether to start selling cars in America.

Orion will also announce an all new model at the Pebble Beach Concour d'Elegance.

There should be a bailout plan for companies deep in the red zone about to go under. Similar to loans, one company or several company's loan money to the dying company to get them on their feet again and then that company pays back the parent companies again slowly when they start turning a profit.

I went through the whole thread earlier and this looks like it could be a fun game. I'll try it out.

Did I do this right?

Actually one question. Shouldn't FF Drivetrains be cheaper then FR Drivetrain? I thought the reason behind building FFs were that they are the cheapest to build IRL.

Technically a FR drivetrain is easier and cheaper because it's significantly simpler. FF layouts are used because they're more efficient with space and are perhaps a bit better for ordinary drivers.

Voided. If I recall, BS like this is one of the reasons Create a Nation failed. You have broken the no-nonsense rule (I forgot what number, but it's there). This is your warning, next offense will result in a 10,000 credit fine. And BTW, your avatar isn't helping.

Anyway, I've noticed that a lot of players have more production capacity than their dealerships allow, meaning they are wasting money on maintenence costs to factories. Having extra dealerships is always better. Also, it's better to have one large or medium factory than several small ones.

Dealerships can sell up to 900 cars a quarter, that's correct? So with my production capacity of 160,000/Q I need to build towards 178 dealerships, and I've only got 31 at the moment. :scared:

Oh god, I did not realise that was a rule, I am new to this. The rule is not there. Sorry for any offense caused. Post has been taken down.

And I have needed to change my avatar for a while. Very sorry.

EDIT: If I need to do anything to make up for it, let me know. I just wanted to be a 'journalist' for this thread.

@xXKingJoshXx I can't seem to open the text box in your post; whenever I click on it it just opens the logo picture. Could you please post your starting form normally?

ABR's newest model, "Widow Maker" is now being developed from a new factory in Stuttgart.

Model #3 Specifications
Model Name: Widow Maker
Trim Levels: GT2
Body Style(s): Coupe
Engine(s): 4.0L twin-turbo flat six (air cooled)
Drivetrain(s): RR
Transmission(s): 6-speed Manual
Location of Factories: Stuttgart, Germany

Description: This car is another pure track car from ABR, how the hell is this eligible for the road? This is a 1200kg, stipped out, roll cage equiped, death machine of death! Over 800rwhp and the only traction control is your right foot* and the massively wide rear tires. The Widow Maker has a spectaular sounding flat six, enourmous turbos and a hair raising weight distribution of 35:65. Strap yourself into the carbon bucket seats and 6 point harness and say a prayer before you leave the pits.
*we're not joking, the Widow Maker has no drivers aids at all (no airbags or ABS either)

ABR's test driver resigned when the board requested a timed lap of the Nordshleife.

Development Cost
Flat six engine 500cr (extra spent)
Turbocharger: 400cr (extra spent)
Manual Transmission: 200cr (extra spent)
RR Drivetrain: 500cr (extra spent)
Coupe Body Style: 200cr (extra spent)
Total Cost of Development: 1,800cr

In addition, we have opened three new dealerships in Berlin, New York and Paris.

Expenditure List
Handbuilt Factory - Stuttgart - 100cr
Dealership - Berlin - 250cr
Dealership - New York - 250cr
Dealership - Paris - 250cr
TOTAL: 850CR

Total Spent 2,650cr
Money in bank 3,300cr

ABR
would also like to offer its services to supply performance engines. The company is very proud of making some of the best engine's in the world and would relish the opportunity to design an engine to your specifications.

Initial development costs are covered by ABR and a contract is entered into to repay. This can be via a profit sharing scheme or a simple quarterly payment.

This game has 32 players now, 30 of which are active. I am stunned- I never thought it would be even close to this successful. I'm about as surprised at this game as I was when UK made it to the championship. Thanks to all who gave this game a chance, and helped make it a success.

Harrbol Automobiles is looking to form an alliance with a European-minded company. The alliance will allow your company to sell cars in my dealerships, and would allow me to sell my cars in your dealerships.
This could potentially double the number of dealerships available to your company for no additional cost.

BMC might be interested in such a partnership. How many dealerships do you have?

We currently have 8 dealerships located throughout the U.S., with more planned. Don't you have 16 or so?
BMC has 31. Since you have 8, I'd be more than happy to give you access to 8 of ours if we could use 8 of yours. I think that's pretty fair, yes?
