So, as many of you all are aware, there's a PP exploit in the game that allows the Tomahawk to have way less PP than it should.

EDIT: Update 1.13 tried to eliminate this exploit but failed. Below is a new setup. CREDIT goes to

Hey, I can not adjust the first gears to 9.000+. I am on European version. Is that the problem? Or is there an even newer update to make it impossible?

I think you have to keep adjusting the first three gears. The max limit increases each time.

Nobody forces you to do it. Why do you need PD to patch this?
It made me realise that they've not really fixed the economy if we have to use a stupidly unrealistic car and an expolit to make a reasonable amount of credits. We should be able to make 3-5 million an hour with a range of events and cars but there's no other options to even get close to that. Anything under 3 million an hour is not even worth bothering with when you consider there's so much more to spend credits on in this game versus GT Sport. I'm happy to grind for stuff, just make it a more reasonable and sensible way of doing it - maybe bring back the old 200% login bonus and tie it to daily workouts.
Nice race! :)
Sport hards look great even if you can make better lap times with intermediates, at least for the first part of the race.
Yesterday I managed a 14:21 with 5 seconds penalty, then a 14:18 and a 14:17, but the 14 minutes wall seems so high...
Everytime I make a really fast race the IA makes me crash or losing a lot of time.
At this point I think the bridge between 14:20 and 14:00 is just pure luck...
I think the big thing is trying to pass the AI at the right time, I've found that if you get a penalty or even just lose time early in the race you will really struggle later to pass them without giving up 5-10 seconds a lap. The quicker you run the more likely you are to pass the majority of the field on the front straight which obviously loses no time unless they swerve into you at the last second. They also seem to differ each time you enter the race from the main menu, you will get different cars trying to pass and that can lose you a ton of time if they decide to go 3 wide and block the track up.

One thing with the sport tyres is that you can probably run SM or SS if you can deal with the extra falloff, SS is a few seconds a lap quicker but I found it harder to drive.

So I bit the bullet and got the Tomahawk. Had a helleva time trying to get the PP below 600 but I did it. First lap of tokoyo express I cant get around the first turn without going into a ground loop. Went back to put on inters and now my PP is all out of wack again. Did inters mess up my exploit?

Yes, but there are tunes in this thread for inters. Look backwards from here to the YouTube video, it has one, pretty good as well. Just make sure you check everything is the same, there shouldn’t be any fiddling around.

I don't even use the Inters, RH from lap 1 until the end. The first round is very tricky indeed. I set TC to 5 in the first 2 laps and after i switch to 0.

If you use Tomahawk for this event you win even without tyres....Serious, intermediate tyres are perfect, you need pitstop around 5-6 lap, you don't need load gas if you put power save set on 2. You reach 530 Km/h, at the end you win with 3 laps advantage. It is really fun drive this car at Tokyo.

3 laps is pretty calm. I get 4 on the field, with fuel map 6, IM tires, 7 laps to first stop, new tires and a splash of fuel to get to the end. Run in the low 1:20s, usually, big penalties or extreme care in traffic will put me in the high 1:30s. My best with fuel6 is 1:17-something, and I've done a 1:13 with fuel 1. I get the race done in the low 18 minutes, whether I'm on fuel 1 or 6, and 6 makes it easier to drive and a 1-stop race in intermediates.

I do enjoy this race. Trying to get through traffic is my downfall, i just refuse to follow the cars through the bends, there always looks like room to go by. Oops, no there's not. Two or three whacks on the wall! I don't like slowing down for pit in, either. Nailing the pits in 7th gear is fun, but missing it is expensive penalty-wise!

IM, FM6 and no pit stop for me, race in 18min, lapping all AI 4 times. And I've done that race 5 times max. I am sure it would be ok with higher FM too, at least 5 should do too.

You don't need to pit if you run max lean, use DRS, early shift and lift and coast. Worst I had it was running out of fuel coming off the last hairpin. From there just do that downshift trick and use the battery to accelerate. I forgot who disovered this on here. I'm sorry for not giving you credit.

What is the downshift trick, I have yet to hear that one?
I start on IM and stop on lap 5 for RM, run fuel mode 3, run as low as 1:07's, race length is usually 15:00's to 15:45 depending on penalties. I don't like using IM for entire race because the car slides too much, I use the 2100HP version with default ABS and TCS 3 as only assists.

I think I broke my exploit. I cant get the car back under 600 after finally accomplishing the feat and mounting inters. Now no matter what I do it won't drop under 1100 now.

Double check all your settings, something is off. Sometimes 4th gear will default to something different when changing other gears.

You have to erase your setting sheet and create a new one from blank. And never use the "copy sheet" function!

Maybe its just me but I actually think this race is fun... then again I play spotifty while playing this race... without its not as fun lol... I'm not saying I am excited to go home and play this race but once I start it gets pretty addictive... I still try to stick to one hour a day so 3 races only

Okay, I missed I had the tires wrong, duh. And Poof, that made a big difference. TCS 6, Fuel Map 6, finished with 20 laps of fuel left and 2 laps ahead in 22 min and some change.

I ran it as much as possible until i hit credit cap, now I just buy a car or two and put the credits back. If I don't get my one or two tokyo per day I feel like my day is missing something.

Yeah, I find it really fun too, if you look at it like a big time trial !
But play it too much and it will drive you nuts.
With a wheel it can even cause physical harm.
I played it many hours a day for something like 10 days in a row at the beginning. My hands, arms, back, shoulders and left foot would hurt so much that it took me another 10 days to fully restore! (I'm 40yo, it doesn't help 😅)

I also look at it as a time trial but the tricky part is doing it clean and fast, i find it a nice challenge.
Other day i tried to beat my 14:13,wasn't even coming close.
Then today i must have picked up on something.
Ran a 14:19, 14:17,then a 14:15.5 but with a 5 sec penalty, next run 14:08.5.
Still using yer set, fuel 4 ,for first 2 laps, then 5,slowest lap was the first,1:14.6, 2:22.1 first 2 laps.
Never thought it my wildest dreams i'd run that time,i used to happy doing a 2:10 on the first lap:lol:

Amazing man!
You're really close to finish under 14 minutes!
My best so far are 14:18 and 14:17 but I had a few races where I was way faster than that and ended up terrible because of AI... But I really do think that you can go under 14 minutes with this setup :)
Didn't play for the last 2 days but I will try my luck today !

Is AHK with PS remote still a thing, even if for a race other than Tokyo, with poor payouts?
It only works with oval circuits, it's not like if it was an AI. You'll make far much money playing Tokyo event (or other ones) for a few hours and it will be more fun!

Sounds like you need to modify your driving rig and make it more comfortable. It's not unusual for me to spend 3 hours in mine driving without a break in some of our 2 hour timed races by the time you add practice and qualifying. The only thing that ever gets sore is my right knee and that because I have had knee problems since my high school days. The herniated disc's in my back and neck don't cause any trouble and I have almost 2 decades on you. :):)
