Point of fact, this is not precedent setting.

In 1973, flags were flown at half-staff (ships have masts and presidents aren't sworn in on ships) during Nixon's second inauguration because Truman had passed away fewer than 30 days earlier. Why does 30 days matter? Because in 1954, President Eisenhower, a Republican, issued a proclamation establishing the convention of flying the nation's flag at half-staff on government buildings for that period of time following a former president's passing.

I don't think we should abandon such a convention because this pathetic bitch so desperately needs to grab its ankles for its bronzer daddy.

STOP ERASING OUR HISTORY!

So many similarly named places in North America finally creates an issue that the US ejucashun system cannot handle.

It has to be agonizing for conservatives now-a-days, the littlest thing on TV/Internet sending you into a tizzy on Twitter instead of ignoring it or changing the channel, or perhaps paying attention to what's being relayed to you if it has to have an ASL interpreter present.

I have to say, my first reaction to the image was "Oh, that's probably AI...", my second reaction, "What kind of prick builds advertising hoardings that monopolise human spaces so much in the name of being seen by passing motorists..." then I though, yeah, it's America... so that checks out.. yeah. Then went to find it...

.. and actually it doesn't block the pavement as much as it looks like it does... so now I'm wondering why the beggar is block the cycle lane, and not the pavement... like if you're begging, why are you there? A block Northish are some transit stops... beg there...

My informed guess is that person is not begging but just blasted out on some narcotic. I actually don't even remember the last time I encountered somebody asking for money in SF. Most of the homeless just seem to shuffle around the city seemingly oblivious to anyone or anything else also being there...
