DA's Super GT Series|PURE Spec 1.0|Last Round 4/14

The first of two endurance events of our season is tomorrow. It's gonna be a long one. 375km at La Sarthe. The time will be set in the evening so half the race will be ran in the dark. Qualifying will be done while it's daylight still.

Important Stuff
Please be in the race room by 3:00p.m. EST or shortly thereafter. If we have everyone in the room ahead of time, I'll start qualifying before 3:30p.m. As I've stated before, the pp and weight checks begin at 3:30p.m. at the latest. If you're late, you don't race. Simple as that.

Track Boundaries
-As we've already discussed in great detail recently, the game's penalty system pretty well defines the tracks boundaries (whether it does or doesn't reflect the real life boundaries, it's still the boundaries).
-In places the penalty system gives you leeway, my two-tires-on-black-asphalt rule always applies.

Qualifying
-I'll be adding an extra 5 minutes to qualifying for a total of 20 minutes of qualifying because it takes long enough to get around this track.
-Remember to qualify on whatever tires you plan on running your first stint. NO PITTING FOR SOFTS WHEN YOU'RE RUNNING MEDIUMS FIRST STINT!

Pre Race
-Like last week Pole sitter needs to run the pace lap at 60mph and everyone else keep 3 lengths apart
-Begin the race at the start/finish line as normal.
-Accelerate as soon as the car ahead of you accelerates

Race
-Please, as always, keep it clean. Don't put yourself in a risky situation because penalties are on and we don't want any accidents
-This race is a long one. Patience plays off here so make careful non-risky passes.
-Don't make risky passes
-Remember, penalties are on.
-SLOW DOWN in time for pit entrance
-Beware of other cars when you're exiting pit lane.

-Pole sitter can begin the race once they cross the timing stripe exiting the first chicane of Mulsane Straight. Once you've exited the turn and you cross the timing stripe, go!
-The rest of the field can go when they notice the car ahead of the accelerate, just like the previous races.
-NO PASSING BEFORE THE SECOND CHICANE OF MULSANE STRAIGHT

I'd probably suggest changing one of the two bold entries. We'll see problems starting the race but not allowing passing.

What's really gonna suck is, those from forth place back will get a monster run on the leaders.

I'm open to changing things. How will the people fourth place back get a run on the leaders? I'm probably just not thinking it over clearly.

Sorry for flip-flopping on everyone. Changed the pre race info. Everyone will run a normal pace like we have thus far.

Good to hear. I was a bit worried about everyone entering Mulsane corner on cold tires haha.

When you exit the pit lane, there's a white line, so I think we shouldn't pass that line since that's pit boundaries. Good practice with you guys tonight.

Lol, it's in my rules to follow the pit lane exit line. So good call.

Great race tonight guys that will be one of our toughest races on the calendar by far man that was hard but good racing guys :tup

I thought that was a T1 course? I sure don't believe that. Good racing guys 👍

Toyotsupra, The last race of the season at Spa is going to be just as hard. I believe it's a 51 lapper.

Yup, 50 + a pace. It will be long.

And.it was definitely a surprise as to what car was best for the track. I made to many stupid mistakes.

And kudos to robbie2ffy for hanging in the after your bathroom break incident. Funniest thing I've heard for a while lol

Who suffered lag issues yesterday?

I'd like to have someone, with a solid connection, host the next race in hopes to find a more suitable host than myself because apparently my connection isn't stable enough.

I didn't notice much lag if any. That was the best connection i've noticed yet. Even my replays look much better with the cars not jumping all over the screen like in previous races.

Doubt my connection would be any better. Wireless / NAT2 / bandwidth High

I have the same type of connection. Yours could possibly be more stable but I don't know. The only way to figure these things out is to try it out.

I've tried using an ethernet cable and connecting that way but for some reason my ps3 will not make a successful connection. It's highly aggravating because I've tried it multiple times and can't figure it out.

hey mester's, im sorry to say that i have to quit this event. I simply have to much work to do, dont have time to practice at all, so participating in this will waste both your and my time..... thanks for the good races tho, if you ever want to do a race over the winter time, il be happy to participate, but when summer comes too many people with their cars wants my attention.

Nice pics man! I'll try to get a few up soon. I just haven't messed with GT at all after that race. It gave me my fill for a few days.

There could be quite a few pics of me: crap, DA goes wide/cut it to short/any-other-scenario. I'll try to get those up. My least favorite things were getting passed by toyotsupra on lap 27 and Z on the last lap. I knew toyotsupra was going to pass me because he was on fresh tires but Z passing was a product of my own design. Started thinking about something else and cut the sharp right 90° after Mulsane Straight way too short. 10 second penalty. Don't know what I was thinking. Basically shot myself in the foot.

Nice pictures. I started to take some and got sleepy. So decided to watch The Hangover 2 instead.

I would definitely say there was a pace advantage to the "T1" cars, but they were hard to keep on track. I was running low 53's in a practice lobby, but just kept getting bit by the penalties in the race, leading to more frustration and more penalties later.

The first hangover was better imo. Try hot tub time machine. I thought it was effin hilarious.
