Do you want GT6 for both PS3+PS4

Well it is in relation to PS3 still having big games for it coming out, it is still a relevant platform for them and the current one. I will be surprised more if there is no new GT game coming out on PS3 but could understand it coming out on PS4 only but will still consider it slightly crazy.

PS4 is announced to come out in December this year. There is no word on GT6 yet. The only thing that makes sense is if GT6 is a PS4 title, and the only thing that would be crazy is if it's not.

Also, even IF Kaz and PD would go completely bananas and release GT6 on PS3, where are you possibly gonna see any improvement? I'd really like to hear you answer this question.

+1. This is exactly why GT6 on the PS3 seems totally out of question.
 
The biggest problem is no matter what you do, how are you going to sell it to fans that are in the midst of next gen games? Even if we imagine GT6 pushing PS3 to it's absolute limits it's still not going to compare to other games on next gen, like Forza 5. How do you tell people to buy GT6 on PS3 rather than Forza 5, Drive Club or any other next gen racing game?

To go slightly off topic I can tell you that less than a week ago I was very excited about GTA V, which will be released in September. After the PS4 announcement however I hardly care about the game anymore.

Honestly, I agree. I won`t even bother with it one bit if GT6 was on PS3, instead I would be extremely disappointed...
 
I think GT6 will be available on both the PS3 and the PS4.

I hear the PS4 will be able to steam PS3 games through the cloud.

No, not at all. I think GT6 will be released on PS3. It has been in the works for a long time. They are currently working on GT7 Prologue for the PS4.

Why do you assume this? Ah yes, because you have no idea what you are talking about.

You do realise that PD has probably known about the PS4 for years, right? It's not like they sat in front of the computers 4 days ago and found out about it the way we did.
 
I guess all will be happy if PD release GT6 on PS4 and many more cars and track as DLC for GT5. But I don't know why they haven't taken advantage of this possibility.
 
No. The PS3 is too outdated, period. Even if a miracle comes and they use the perfect combination of realism and fun in driving physics with semi-simulation like in Gran Turismo 3 and earlier into GT6, it still needs realistic physics, and there are many more necessities to be fixed with the PS4's much better hardware, like processing engine sound, polishing graphical inconsistencies, and the number of cars on-track at one time in certain types of races.
 
GT6 for ps3??? At this is point: NEVER-GONNA-HAPPEN, it's already a miracle GT5 can run on PS3.
As Crispy9001 said thet console is outdated. The glitchy game just wouldn't sell, it would be embarrassing for Sony and Playstation community.

GT6 is coming for PS4.

Sony began working and researching on the PS4 since 2008. Add that to the fact that PD was one of their key developers in working with the PS4's architecture. In conclusion, PD have probably known about the PS4 for a long time now. Meaning, them working on GT6 for a long time can also translate to a PS4 release, and most probably will.

But I don't think GT6 will be a launch title. Sony would want to separate their two racing exclusives, and DriveClub is most likely to go first.

Didn't they say 2008 in the presentation? PD were obviously one of the first to know.

The ones mentioned by Michael Denny.

Kaz seems to be taking more authority this time over what information can be released or not. Maybe too far though as really he should say what console it will be releasing on at the very least. He could be aiming for the ultimate surprise element by getting game ready to be released before talking about it.

You should see a big improvement, PS3 deserves a good consistent Gran Turismo which is rich in number of quality events through better AI, good number of tracks and cars all with same quality. More of what successor to GT5P should have been. It will be interesting to see which direction they will go regarding which console they will release on, we don't really know what has been going on at PDIs offices. It would only make sense there not being another GT game on PS3 if majority of staff who work on the core of the game started working purely on PS4.

Well most people aren't going to switch over to next-gen consoles straight away are they. There will still be many millions staying on current platforms for a good year or two before thinking about upgrading when there are price cuts and more games on the new consoles.

I did also say about having number of quality events. Additionally a few new features should be enough for me and improving current parts. There is not much more that can be done. They have already spent more than two years on it with most of the foundations to work upon already built. I think it would be close to be ready for release if they have been developing a PS3 game.

PS3 was outdated when GT5 came out, that doesn't change a thing. There are still big budget games releasing on PS3 this year.

Kaz is taking charge of what can and can't be said this time it seems so people can't say it is being delayed and what not. We will most likely find out about it when it is ready to be released this time.
 
The problem I have is people stating gt6 is on ps4 as a concrete fact.

Until we get an official announcement we cant state anything as fact.
 
The PS3 and PS4 have COMPLETELY different architecture. Considering the length of time PD took to release a half finished GT5 for a single console, there is no way in hell GT6 will be developed for two massively different platforms.

Agreed. A great example of this is Need For Speed pro street. It was released on PS2 and PS3. On the PS2 version many features were missing from it to the PS3 version. If this happens with GT6 I want it to be a PS4 game that's it
