For everyone who hasnt read the group forum, 510cv is equal to 503bhp, as we worked out. So the races will be setup with a max power of 502bhp/510cv. Everyone can set there car power limit to the highest it will go and still let you race (which is normally 503bhp).

All cars have engine rebuild, full downforce, engine stage 3 (when available) and stage 2 turbo, since is the one who gives more torque and more pp.

Torque is in Kgm, and where you read "Wheight" you should read "Weight" measured in Kg.

I couldn't agree more with you Sassafrass. I'm hating this PSN outage but now, I finally have time to run the 9 hour enduro B-spec races because I'm not racing online...
 
Hopefully there's still a spot left for you. This series has been blowing up with popularity. But you know how it is, 10 people will want to race a 2 will show up. I sent JT a message to switch me to the CLK. That BMW is too ass happy for me.

(Yes I can finally join bashing that CLK domination now! :sly: )

But seriously... Out of curiosity I turned down the downforce to 35/60 on the CLK and the performance points are exactly 605 PP then...

BTW... my BMW weights 1120 kg

That's typical here on the forum. They come by, post a "count me in" reply and then you never hear from them again. We started the EU division of DTM1 with 3 cars in the first race while 10+ people had registered. But I think we have gathered a fine group of interested devoted people now who show up when they are needed! 👍👍👍

Maybe the 'gamers' have moved on to the next game and the 'petrol heads' stayed for some serious racing!

(It's just waiting for Sony now to turn that *$&%#$ PSN on :indiff:)

My BMW is also 1120kg.

We now have 15 drivers so i'm closing the registration. Still waiting on 5 drivers to choose a car/team.

Only BMW and Opel/Vauxhall team cars left. I will free up a TT-R space for someone if they really dont want a BMW or Opel/Vauxhall.
Please choose before this Sunday or you might lose your space.

Registration is now open for a second series which will run at the same time and same rules (without teams or car choosing restrictions) if there is enough interest.
This will also be the reserve list for the DTM2 incase we have drop-outs.
 
Was changed to a Saturday because it is now a combined series with different time zones. A Friday 23:00 CET race would be a 14:00 PDT race and might stop people in that time zone racing because of work/school/college etc. If the Saturday times dont work then we can look at changing again but just trying to keep everyone happy (very difficult by the way, lol)

Is a plan for the first race:tup: after that, with the weight loss the PP will be all over the place... i can volunteer to keep up the individuals PP for each car...

Ho, and my GTR is a little heavier cus i jus come from grocery store..:lol:

^^ PP will only go lower with the weight penalty. It wasn't clear to me either but the cars will never be lighter than 1100 kg (confirmed by JT). Otherwise I have a big problem with my 1120 kg! :nervous:

So these are the restrictions then:
- cars are 1100kg or more
- cars have 502BHP/510cv (or less)
- cars have 607PP or less

JT can you reconfirm that?
 
Yes
Cars will always be more than (or equal to) 1100kg.
Cars will always be less (or equal to) 503bhp/510cv.
Cars will always have less than (or equal to) 607PP.
 
I think it's more clear this way.

"10.4 - Cars which finish from 4th and under, progressively lose penalty weight they might have accumulated, according to 10.5 rule."
"10.5 - 4th -10kg, 5th -20kg, 6th to last -30kg"

What you think JT?

Looks like it'll be more interesting this series ... more difficult for all riders understand the rules, but after the first race everything will be more makes clear.

It seems to me that the reason has Goruk in relation to Rule 10.5.
Another thing is the BMW and stay in fourth place, how can you take weight to the car because it weighs 1120kg?

Since we started reading/discussing it now...I have a question about the following:

10.10 - Penalty weight is weight added above the lowest possible starting weight for the championship.

Does that mean for the BMW that when I finish 1st I got 1120kg + 40kg or 1100+40kg?

If you at 1100kg or 1120 you will stay at 1100kg or 1120. you only loses weight if you are carrying some...

ok, since I realized .... lol

Ok, ja percebi... lol:
 
The BMW will get penalty weight just like all the other cars, added to the starting weight.
So if it finishes 2nd in the 1st race it will start with 1120kg + 20kg = 1140kg for race 2.

If it then comes 6th it will return to 1120kg (1140kg - 30kg = 1110kg but it cannot go that low so it goes to 1120kg)

We could just increase the min weight to 1120kg? Then we would have to reduce the 'supermax' from 90kg to 80kg. Thoughts?
 
^ Well i think 1100kg is a nice round number, and since the GTR is the car with more torque after the IS-F, and if you use engine 3 upgrade and stage 2 turbo the power curve will be flat from -+5000 revs up, the 20kg is not a big drawback.

But if you feel you need to change, i'm ok with it to....
 
No I'm fine with it. The PP match with 1120kg on the BMW and 1100kg on all other cars so lets not change that.
