Which Circiuts should we use for DTM2? (Top 6 will get used)

I'dont know if i read right but is 2 mandatory pits, just in that mandatory pits i can chance my tyres, how i'll chance 3 types of tyres if i just have 2 mandatory pits? Thanks!
 
^ You probably will start the race also with some tyres on your wheels :rolleyes:
 
I think all the cars should be the same weight. I don't see why one car should have extra weight. I'm totally fine with adding weight to make things even. It will make it easier when adding or subtracting weight penalties also.
 
I wonder what Sony means by 'this week'... When do we decide if race 10 of DTM1 will go on tonight? Need some online testing for this very important race!

That's typical here on the forum. They come by, post a "count me in" reply and then you never hear from them again. We started the EU division of DTM1 with 3 cars in the first race while 10+ people had registered. But I think we have gathered a fine group of interested devoted people now who show up when they are needed! 👍👍👍

Maybe the 'gamers' have moved on to the next game and the 'petrol heads' stayed for some serious racing!

(It's just waiting for Sony now to turn that *$&%#$ PSN on :indiff:)

Always been a follower but it's just the time issues for me as having a family kinda gets in the way of when I can get access. Always remain interested but can never really commit unless very late at night.

I can choose a team / car to enter and be there when possible but don't want to take someone elses legitimate spot.

9.5 - If you know you can not make a race then you must say so in the DTM2 thread the week prior to the race. This will free up a space in your team for someone else to drive in your absence. You will get your drive back the next week.
9.5.1 - That space will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
9.5.2 - Only a driver not already in a team can take that place and for one race only.
9.5.3 - This driver can score both championship points and team points.
9.5.4 - This driver must read and state that they have read the rules and regulations before being given the drive.
9.5.5 - This system will not be in place for race 6 (final race of season) unless the driver has previously raced in races 1-5.

So keep an eye out for spots becoming available through the week before a race you think you can make. Also, the UK race time is now 22:00, so a little bit later than last season.
I know i am going to miss 2 races in June because of a holiday in France.

So, if you will not appear in 2 races, who will open the lob to we race?
 
If we don't find someone to be our host/pace car, pobably our trusty host from season 1 Symp :)👍
 
Do you guys usually host from a someones lobby or public room? Audi S4 or DEATH usually host from their lobbies and we have minimal problems. Only a couple have been booted over the span of the entire season.
 
We have to use the public lobby because of connection issues with private lounges. Godoias, Goruk and myself can never seem to get a good connection unless we use a public room with a fixed room ownership connection.
No idea why it is only us though. We all have Nat 2 connections.
 
We are NAT 2 as well. We should try and let us host from a lobby, its so much better than having random strangers coming in the room constantly. Either me, S4, or DEATH always seem to have good connection. Rare to see someone booted. Unfortunately, its still going to happen no matter what we do. But at least the room is somewhat private.

Maybe when we combine for the last race of season one when can get together earlier than usual. Get some friends invites going and test a lobby situation.

You might want to throw DEATHBYROTOR on the reserve list. He never comes on this website but I'm pretty sure he'll be interested.
 
I will put DBR on the list but this website, forum and group are key to the success of the series. There is a lot of info in the group. The rules are quite in depth and a lot of things have changed from DTM1. Too much, i think, to explain in a lobby 10 mins before a race.

We can try the private lobby first but we have tried countless times before. Might be different with a host from a different continent but, i doubt it.

Wow... just ran into this story. What do you think? Does this mean the restart of parts of the services is not planned anymore and we'll have to wait till the end of this month?!?! :banghead: :mad:

... I've lost patience in the first week, nor am I able to play PS3 ... and now this news .... it will be so long, beyond the loss of patience, I will also miss the little practice I have in GT5 ... :ouch:
 
I have had an offer from hawkeye122 (gdwest1) to be the official DTM2 race host and pace car.

This means the races will be hosted in a fixed room by hawkeye122 where they will deal with non invited guests, qualifying times/grid order and making sure everyone uses all three compounds of tyre.

It also gives us a pace car (and safety car if needed :) ) for that, all important, formation lap eye candy all the photomode fans love.

It is fantastic news which will help all the drivers concentrate on just the racing and takes the series to the next level. 👍

Now we just need PSN...

It has given me time to collect the 15,000,000cr i need for prizes though...
Well it would if i could stop buying classic cars from the UCD. :)
 
When this psn still down we can do some pre-season tests. We can choose a track and posts the laps time here to compare.

Love the advert for the first race of the new season JT, looks great. I hope that's the case S4. I've been practicing with hard tires to try and simulate online lack of grip. Frustrating. I'd like to think that I've gotten a little better with the wheel. If I could just stop crashing for no reason that would be great. I need a coach or spotter telling me everything is gonna be alright. Lol.
