DTM3 - Race 6 @ GP/D, 3/9

How did the pre-season race go? Seemed like a lot of guys pulled out. How many showed up? Any issues with rules & regs etc.

The turnout was a bit dissapointing. There was Goruk, Green, Pipi and me from the verteranes list. And from the 8(!) registered new guys there was LSDBlackWolf and the non-registered Antz1980(if I recall correctly). It must be said that although it didn't go that well for Antz he stayed till the end. So I think he deserves a spot in the team list. Maybe the new guys must be put on the reserve list first untill they realy show up. Last season people could not participate because spots were claimed by others who never showed up.

About the new rules & regs... Although I still have to get used to the TT-R I miss some performance with the 473BHP and 1120kg. The car feels a bit slow. But that's my personal opinion. I say we go for it this season! 👍

The race was a bit short but looking at the tyre wear at this track the race shouldn't have been any longer either.

Green disconnected after 1(?) lap. Had connection problems the whole day I think. It looks like he's going to be the new Goruk for this season Very good driving of LSDBlackwolf btw. We'll have to keep an eye on this guy. He crashed and had an extra pit stop but managed to get back to 2nd position, just in the final lap! Didn't see that coming! I need a pit crew with radio to warn me cause I was settling for 2nd position and wasn't looking at the other positions anymore.

Anyway, nice race and I hope we get more cars on the grid next week.

I didn't get disconnected the game crashed, when the race started I had the race count down and menu on screen while driving couldn't see speedo or lap counter or any other info. So I just restarted ps after a few laps, sypm's right but it was happening all day my game keeped freezing,crashing.

I'm with you on that Symp, TT-R feels really slow, specially on the straights, but on the other hand, I was watching the others cars on practice and almost everyone was getting the same speed on the back straight, so lets see how it will work out.

It was a shame Green didn't make it, I really know what that is, so frustrating... btw thanks for the gifts Green:tup:

Just tought I'd say LSD hosted the 1st race that started on time lol.........he ran it like a military operation 2130 Quilifying 2200 Race end of story.....Thats why it was a short race cause it actualy started on time. Only thing we forgot to do is post the room number on here and let everyone know the room was up. But the only person who got lost looking for room was funkmuffin who was sitting in LSD's lounge at 9pm lol.

Ive sent friends request to every new guy except Imracer24 as this is not a psn username. So next week i'll send everyone a message when room is up.

I don't know if DeathbyRotor is racing this season anytime i send messages i never get a reply, so i don't know if anyone else wants to try..........

I agree with goruk and symp Audi tt looks like it been weakend. I did a 46.9 in practice and Goruk and symp stuggled to beat it also LSD got pole in M3 although i know lsd is a very good driver. So I think it's hard to judge on this track alone but the Audi tt doesn't look as good as last year.

Thats disappointing. There were a few who did say they couldn't make it though so fingers crossed for Race 1. Might not get a chance to post much this week. It's about a 2 minute lap for Grand Valley (I think) so:
30 Laps (+1 Formation)
Pit Window 1 - 7-12
Pit Window 2 - 19-24
21:30 BST Quailifying
22:00 BST Race

Imracer25 is lmracer24 (ie. Le Mans Racer 24) Cought me out 1st time i sent a msg to him too.

I agree with symp on the new guys. Until they turn up to a race they will remain orange. This means the place is still available but the new driver has the place until someone else registers and races. When they do race they will turn red. So with that LSD turns red and Ants will go on reserve until he registers. When he does he can have a red place. What car did he use?

antz used the clk he said he messaged you (JT) to register, he was the guy in the last race of dtm2 and he said then he had registered. So i dont know if talking out his arse or what but he did turn up thats the main thing lol

I have sent a msg. Thought he was someone else in that last race of DTM2. When he said he had registered i assumed he ment for DTM. I think he ment GTPlanet because of the name of the room. (Assume = an ASS out of U and ME..lol) Didn't seem like a bad driver in that race just didnt have medium tyres. Hopefully he now has the tyres and an understanding of the rules. Since he has turned up to the last 2 races then we can say he is reliable i suppose.

If you are not going to make it to Race 1 this Saturday, please post here to let everyone know. I know things can change quite quick towards the weekend (escpecially with family stuff) so i appreciate the guys who posted late last Saturday.
I will not be at Race 1 but will be back from Sunday night.

Hey!

As i said on the race lounge, it was a bit disspointing just to have 5 guys racing. It turned out even more boring when i crashed but thats normal!

The race went well for everybody i guess, Antz was all around specially with hards lol!
I made a little mistake on lap 2 or 3, dont recall correctly, and had to pit. When i left pits i was 41 seconds behind Goruk, the race went normally, always pushing. Got lucky enough to pass Symp 2 laps before the end and ended 11 seconds behind Goruk!

now, i won't be able to race next saturday but the next one after that i will!

What i really hope is to have more people racing!

Although I have some family issues at the moment that I can not oversee right now I'm expecting to join and host this first race of season 3. Hope we can get that full grid! Will add the new guys.

^Thanks for that Symp. Thought i might make the race this Saturday after getting a call about a job interview on Tuesday. The 1200mile round trip to pick up my suit might have co-incided with the race, but decided it was cheaper (and less stressfull) to just buy a new suit....
I'll try to send reminders on GTP this week for the race, if someone can send out reminders on PSN then that will cover everything.
