DTM3 - Race 6 @ GP/D, 3/9

Which Circiuts should we use for DTM3? (Top 5 will get used)

Superb work SymP. I knew the series was in good hands while i was gone. Splashscreen added to 1st post. All SymP's work đź‘Ť SymP has also started a website for the group at

At the moment it links back to the group page just like the splashscreen but hopefully we can get more use out of it as the series goes on.

ps. My best at Rome is 1:06.4xx so far. More tuning required.
 
Cool DTM has a website awsome stuff symp :D, can't wait for saturdays race gona be awsome. Rome has a few good overtaking spots should make for some good racing, it looks like its gona be a busy race aswell with wolf the only one who can't make it so far.
 
Had a good couple of practice sessions yesterday with green and goruk.
Best on Softs: 1.05.5
Best on Hards: 1.06.1 (no kidding, im sure thats what it was. Had a race with Goruk and i messed up 2nd or 3rd lap so fell behind. By the time he had finished i was 34 seconds behind, so had less than 30 seconds to finish. Last sector was amazing. Hooked it up through those last 3 corners perfect. Got to the finishing straight and the timer ran out as i drifted over the line. Just before the screen went black the time popped up as 1:06.1xx as my best lap. Only for a split second though. Wholy crap i thought, i can barely manage that on softs! So i watched the replay and my sector times were:
Sector 1 - 22.795, Sector 2 - 20.949 and Sector 3 - ? No time because the bloody replay cuts out before the end of the race!
So you'll have to take my word for it 1:06.1xx......cant do it again though.....)
 
What a shock seeing teeds at the top of the leaderboard :lol:

yeah your right JT the quality does'nt really do your overtake at the end justice or GT5 for that matter. But still the music alone made it worth watching :D ......Im the best......around........ lol

I'm not hearing 'the best around', I'm hearing 'Life is a Highway'. Which is just....wow. Lol. I grew up with it too. I thought i had left it behind.

Teeds wasn't at this particular race but he'll recognize the cars. This was my triumphant chase from 5th to 2nd in one corner after being 23 seconds behind with 12 laps to go.

Both my songs are from Haynes: Driving Anthems (Ultimate guide to driving songs). 60 classic tunes, some better than others, but classics all the same.
 
Can we change our team name from JMG A4 Racing Team to something else, like GFS Racing Team, SFG Racing Team or SassyGreenMuffin Racing lol ..... or if my team mates have any suggestion cause i'm struggling for idea's.

sorry guys, was having trouble with my ps3 yesterday
gt5 would stick at the loading screen :(
i think i fixed it, but there were a few tense hours of wondering whether my game save was alright or not
anyways, ill be there for the next race
 
^^No probs Flexi, it ended up being my most satisfying DTM race to date. 9th to 5th with 3 pit stops and very little damage (after 1st lap incedent).

47/48 laps means you completed more than 75% and still get the points for 10th place. đź‘Ť So not totally unsuccessful.
 
Ok wolf no vids but, I've not really got anything to film it with. Plenty of action but with 2 restarts, alot of overtaking and loads of crashes. I'm sure it would have been a good race to watch, although was a tough race to drive in. I'm pretty sure LSD won with teeds a close 2nd.

yes, without doubt one of the best races I've had in ages!

First 22 laps (until first pit) were amazing! Lots of overtaking, slipstreaming and some serious skills shown by teeds. I got really really impressed with his skills. He´s really fast and clean xD! To be honest i think i just won due to not have made any serious mistakes, just lost control of the car once on hard tyres. Besides that, it was a perfect race with no major incidents to report.

Was a sweet race for sure, good to run a race and be only seconds away from another after an hour of driving.
You must of had good initial pace to come out in front of me on the mediums Wolf, especially as you spun on the hards.
My big mistake was when I came in to do the 2nd stop. As my pitbox was so close to the pit entrance was a in a big hurry to make the tyre change, as I thrust (at speed) my hand towards the buttons accidentally pressed the "X" button 1st :ouch:, so had to do the 3rd stint on hards too DOH! :dopey:

yeah, that was a sad situation...but why didnt you re-pit and change to meds? i dont know exactly the penalty for that but im sure you would be faster even with one extra pit

As to the good pace on meds, yes, i felt really confortable with them, they're just as good as softs...but with hards i felt i was in hell! :\ And im sure you were faster than me on hards too...my car is undrivable on hards, feels like im on buttered tyres! :P

I predict we'll have a good time this season. Even though i think you're faster than me, i will make my best to keep up! :)

And btw, after we changed to "my server", your connection became much smoother, no lag at all! Thats something we have to test...
1 - Fixed host; normal or high quality race - usually i choose normal (recommended)
2 - Unfixed host; high or highest quality race - i chose high (recommended)

There were a couple to tyre irregularities that are being looked at for this race. Will update soon with full and final results.

Great race though, really enjoyed it.
