That spin at the end of the first lap lost you a great deal of time, so unlucky because you were doing good before the restart - now I'm going to have to start calling you Di Resta!!!

Woa, I'm just realizing that I didn't see Arty at all during the race. On my screen he wasn't in the race and I finished behind bigtex lol

Lol Oh, if you had seen me you would have choked, because on lap 16 I led the race for about... oh, I'd say 50 metres!!!

Yep sounds a lot better than max chiton I was so annoyed with my self I had the pace all day long to stay with you and tex it was just that first spin that cost me had to sit and wait for everyone to come round corner or would have been a drive throu points deduction grojean moment

Yes I have see on the replay Hugo and arty heavy he have drive very long time in each other this have look very dangerous

You guys are driving all on the tv gt5? its very bad all iRacing drivers say it very much input lag and its slower, much better to drive on a thing like this here http://configure2.euro.dell.com/del...kc=305&l=de&oc=U2913WM&s=dhs&sbc=dell-u2913wm

I've always used a TV. Your saying there's input lag with GT5? or with i racing on a TV? If there is I haven't detected it, but maybe its a worthy investment if there is indeed some lag. With GT6 coming out soon though maybe its not worth it.

Yes Rich there is in GT5 on TV also input lag its on every race game on tv best is always on pc monitor we need to get all pc monitor but a small sucks its not nice to drive on a small, 30 is ok I think

That sucks I just paid £1500 for my new hd smart tv but I know where to get big monitors at low prices so not all bad

$500 is pricey, I dont know if the input lag has been measured by those "sim racing today" guys?

Anyways, I killed Michael's therapist today in GTA V. Later I jacked a Jumbo jet and flew it up to max altitude, jumped out and free fell for 65 seconds before I had to pull my chute. Pretty good, my guess is around 10,000 feet is the highest they let you go. Mt. Chilliad appears to be around 3,000 ft high, maybe 4,000.

Great practice race tonight had a great battle with arty for 20 odd laps made a mistake which cost me but had a bit of pace to spare as was trying something bit different will make for a intresting race Sunday

I finished in p2 in the practice race, are there plans to renegotiate my contract? ;)

IF you can get 2nd in the actual race, then Rich might "renegotiate" your contract. (That is, if you CAN actually get to 2nd) :sly:

Other than that, I did some practice today (or yesterday for you Europeans) in the premium F2007, and my best lap time was a 1:21.9xx, .8 seconds faster than my best lap in the standard F2007 during thursday practice race.

I was watching the replay, there was ALOT of corner cutting going on that if penalties were on, would have been penalised... I know I cut Ascari a couple of times but some cutting I saw was so blatantly cheating because there was no 'lifting off' after it too.

Maybe we should have penalties on for this particular race since there is alot of time to be gained by cutting.

I'm pretty quick at Monza, so you cant be team leader there but maybe at Madrid.

The penalty system on GT5 is all funny. I remember going P 43 in the X2010 time trial at Monza back in 2011 or 2012 but getting a good lap meant trying to pinpoint exactly where the penalty kicked in which was inconsistent therefore confusing. Generally it was used in the original Formula GT championship immortal and I were a part of to go by having having the edges of the inside tires in contact with some part of the kerb which denoted the edge of the track.

I noticed that too as I was using the standard Ferrari to it had a slight advantage on the straights but that's all lost in the cornering I put in a 22.1 in the premium one 0.7 quicker then I managed in race

I agree with arty me and him had a battle for 20 odd laps with a couple of cuts but that was due to brakes locking or going in to the corner side by side but no time was gained from it where in other cases there was no lift almost straight line the chicane that alone counts for over a second a lap if we don't have the penalty a I think there will be a lot of after race protests and penalties handed out when people watch the replays

Yes I know Guys on Monza its very difficult , we allow in the chicane to to drive with the car on the cerb but not on the green on the right from the cerb.On the first corner also. And othe ascari we allow to drive on the green because its to difficult to see you cut there or not. On the Ascari you can drive on the green.

Its pretty difficult to draw a line and say that such and such is a cut and or is not. Should we say that no more than half the car can be on the green pavement? I'm not entirely sure how it works in real racing at monza. AS I mentioned before, in the old FGTC, we allowed only the inside tires to be in contact with the kerb (included as part of the track). The rest of the car could "cut" the corner provided some of the car was touching the track surface.

In ascari we allow to drive on the green cerb. On the first and second chicane you can drive on the cerb but on the green. On the other corners you can use whole cerb

When I was test driving the premium F2007 I could feel a big difference between it, & the standard F2007. In the corners, the standard F2007 feels a little bit stable than premium, but it feels like it doesn't want to turn (in this case, it's understeering.) The premium feels faster through the corners, but you have to be more gentle on braking into, and exiting out of corners with it (At the 2nd chicane, when braking in with the premium, you don't want to lock-up the brakes while turning, or you might lose control. The exit of the 2nd chicane, is the opposite. You don't want to go full throttle while turning, or you will oversteer.)

Now immortal clearly doesn't want it this way below, but the way he explains it is vague and ambiguous. Are we going by GTP guidelines on corner cutting?

This is how it used to be in the FGTC:
