I love Cape Ring and the FGT car!

Last year, I posted a 1.51.9 fastest lap, Vettel did a 1.47.7 and my current teammate Alonso did a 1.49.8.

In today's ten minutes track practice (no tyrewear, full fuel) to learn the track in the car, straight away I did a 1.51.2 and now I just posted a 1:48.9, it felt so amazing, hit every apex sweetly!

I won't be here on Thursday so I'd like to hear how your times are, clearly I've improved my driving and confidence in the car, but Cape Ring is a dangerous place, very easy to be over confident and spin out!

Good luck!

Cape ring brings back nostalgia for me, even though its brutally hard to stay concentrated and not mess up for 1 lap, let alone a full 40 laps or whatever were doing. Haven't run but I imagine it might not be quite as hard this time because the last update a couple months ago made the FGT feel a tiny bit more manageable than before.

Will be hoping to close the gap to immortal a little, its funny how on some long tracks I'm closer to him in total lap time than on short tracks like Monaco.

Anybody in for some Practice tonight at Cape Ring?
Still feeling rusty...

I was thinking in 3 hours from now? it is 18 / 6pm here so around 21/9pm

I really should but GTA V has been beckoning, as I've been offline long enough for my skill stats to drop. BTW, dont try doing those damn submarine pieces searches on the dingy, you have to lap the whole world and do 20+ dives just for the dumb **** to give you $10 afterwards. I was not so nice to her after the cut scene to say the least....

Immortal will do 47.xx in the race probably. :( Just like last time, or maybe even better his best. One major problem with Cape ring is tire wear, you cannot go far at a good clip. I think a slight tire management strategy is faster for this race then just going all out like at most tracks.

GTA V is having weird glitches and freezes, it froze up this morning on me in story mode. Haven't tried online yet but I doubt the same problems will happen online. I think what's causing it is the amount of money I have. I did all the investments based on the guide after the final heist, and made about 584 million with Michael and 500 mil with the other characters. I think for some weird reason the game cant handle the simple numbers?

I could have had 3 times as much money if my redwood stock would have recovered so I'm not sure if Rockstar is going to resolve that...

Thanks weider for the nice words! But fact i have big problems handling really fast cars like F1 and vettelx10 becuse my equipment is soooo bad and old, brake pedal gets stuck, wheel is not straight etc. Lucky to even stay on track haha! My most want for christmas is a new wheel for sure!

I can not attend cape ring this weekend :(

Cheers

Seventh World Championship Race Full Cape Ring 40 Laps
03.11.2013
20:30 UTC - Free Practice (optional)
21:30 UTC - Qualifying (if you miss the end of qualifying you can start from the back)
22:00 UTC - Actual Race

Can we start on time this week immortal, right at 22:00 or even a few minutes before? I missed the F1 race and its on again at 23:00 UTC and I'm not sure they'll replay it for several days, maybe never sense NBC are such whores playing everything under the sun.

I did a 1.48.9 in practice (no tyrewear, full fuel) and yesterday, in qualification simulation (20 minutes, tyrewear and fuel depletion on) I could only manage a 1.52.8.

I don't really understand where I went wrong really to be 4 seconds down. Nor why I was 1 second off my best last season.

If you turn tyre wear on, your car will be a lot slower than with tyre wear off, even at full fuel. Same with offline and online, Online is more difficult / slower than offline.

I have no motivation to keep going for 40 laps racing myself after my crash.
Sry but it was pretty lonely....

Probably my slowest Cape ring race, I didn't practice until Sunday and I probably should have just done 8 laps and sat back and relaxed because I remembered it pretty well from last time, instead I did 25-30 laps and got my neck and feet all sore and just was going super slow the last 6 laps oh well....

But team Bianchi scores big pts!! 33 pts baby! :sly: Sorry Arty about tagging you around at the start, I had kind of a slow start and then I had nowhere to go when you and sick dived under me and slid up ahead. Great job beating out Big Tex though, now we just need a few more of those and we'll have a respectable amount of pts in relation to immortal's total. :sly:

So sorry lads only just got home, had a mad weekend at my mates and slept all day Sunday was so ****ed! will be there for sure next weekend.

First I beat Vettel and Lewis to the chequered flag in a race around Monte Carlo, and then I finished on the podium at the official Cape Ring grand prix, and last night Kimi (CB) invited me for a private test session in Madrid, what's next?

With Webber (jb) being a no-show so often, perhaps Red Bull will come knocking? ;)

After two weeks with longer training sessions at night, and a practice race yesterday I feel like I am back in good shape.
Will do the best I can to take the lead sunday :)

I am so glad you're back, at this stage you can't overtake me or my teammate in the championship but you can surely make it hard for the others to do so!

And another podium for me in a practice race, Madrid this time O:-)
