Not liking the new tamed down physics. How in the world do we rid cars of the famous Gran Turismo understeer now?
Power oversteer. And every setting you can find to generate oversteer with, than retame it, that's what I did

Sorry @Otaliema but this competition must be shut down. There are no new Vipers to be ordered. Production has been shut down... again. https://autos.yahoo.com/news/not-again-viper-production-halted-two-weeks-123010993.html
Good thing we all got our orders in early. :dopey:

Understeer is an issue still, and I don't like power oversteer. That's been my biggest issue with cars over 525pp in this game, fixing one causes the other. I am fairly happy with where my tune is at and may just submit as is since I may only make it worse. Not sure I will be that fast as testers may drive it differently anyway. Suppose that magic pill in a bottle called SRF would fix it. :yuck::grumpy::yuck:

Same here with the understeer and the thought about submitting my tune. I've reached my goal (lap time wise, so I "should" be happy) but I know I can do better since I oops'd on the last left turn at the bottom of the hill. Not sure how the testers are going to take to it though. With a track like this, one little miscalculation on a bump can make the car react in a bad way.

Well time to call it the modern classic viper strike battle ;).
I personally think it's time these euro owned American car company's ditch the FR drivetrain on the sports cars and go with
MR and get some serious comp for the euro/Asian sports cars.

I don't know many that like power oversteer makes the car unpredictable, it's just a matter of finding the settings that make the nuteral handling so at least it's not drivin into the wall when you let off the gas.
@Lionheart2113 i hear the last 3 corners can add or take 2 seconds off the laps.

Spreadsheet updated with new tuners. Also corrected some formula errors for the fastest lap and added display text to fill in blanks till laps times are submitted.

Ya sure you want to put a car out 300 hp down from cap? I know it's replica but that would pretty much put in a last place. Just checking you still have till Monday to update it if you want.

Anycase tuner post updated with the link

Looks much better sir!:sly: Was wondering about the weights you had listed before the modify.👍

This is for those who want to see how bad I race with a ghost. I really need more practice to teach myself that it's not real, I won't crash into it. And yes, there are plenty of oopsies! Sorry about the noise, I never realized how loud the clicks on the controller were. Now I know why my wife can't stand me playing it when she's around.

Be nice, this is my very first recording and post on youtube!:dopey:

@Lionheart2113 Have you tried other driving views? The "behind the car" view is horrible for me, my best and most consistent is "bumper cam."
I've tried here and there, but it comes back from NASCAR games on the PS2. I used to drive in car, but with the "spotter" in the NASCAR game being about a second behind in saying "inside" I was already wrecking, so I switched. Plus it's a huge help with being able to see things around the car (other drivers) and what the car is doing. Since I can't physically be in the seat and feel what the car is doing it's stuck with me. Creature of habit. I know, childish and stupid...right?:cheers:

I used the rear view when I used the DS3, since I got my wheel though I use bumper cam - rear view just feels alien to me now.

I really need to get the wheel for a better experience from the game. I've been told the difference is night and day, plus I guess the blind spot indicator might help. Don't know of anyone who uses it though.

I use bumper cam + blind spot, I feel that aid is like having a spotter so it's not a cheat :)
I can't see the nose of the car in rear view so I can't tell when to dive in.
Have you tried roof cam?
And your ghost problem? solve it, make your ghost a line, it's in quick options in the on track pause menu. than it's just like having your friends on the track in a seasonal. You can't see what you did with the car for the hot lap but you get the line, so you can follow that
