Formula 1 Gran Premio de España Santander 2012

Schumacher did stick with the outside line, while Senna moved in his path again. And while looking back, Schumacher was a whole lot faster than Senna who seemed to be having problems with his car. Moving twice into the line of a car far faster than you is a bad thing IMO :indiff:

Exactly this.

Though as the car behind Schumi has a responsibility to make sure he doesn't hit Senna, regardless of what Senna does. He shouldn't have been so close behind him anyway, not at that speed. He should've moved off to one side.

Which side should he have moved over to without completely screwing up his racing line and rhythm? Schumacher moved to the left when Senna was struggling with his car, then Senna moved into his way again. That's how I see it. Both are wrong, but Senna more.

Almost no post-race coverage on Speed.

I remember that being pretty much the norm from them. Ridiculous that they cut it for a football match though. Nascar or Indycar? Fine. But Football. On Speed?

Well I can't believe I just watched Maldonado win in F1. Didn't really see that happening ever, but it was a fairly impressive drive from him. He made no mistakes and delivered a really faultless drive. Was shaking my head angrily when I saw the problems in the pits, but it wasn't too bad.

Another incident for Senna. He needs a good clean weekend in Monaco, but Pastor will be tough to beat there.

Fantastic race! I can't say I've found Maldonado to be an impressive driver in the past but this grand prix has definitely changed that for me! To keep his composure like that, ahead of Alonso of all people, is very impressive. Excellent drive. Alonso's driving was second-to-none, as always. It was a little disappointing not to see the Lotus drivers right up in the thick of the battle for the lead but I don't know if I could've handled any extra excitement and suspense! Hamilton did a fantastic recovery drive but it's just too bad McLaren keep shooting themselves in the foot as the guys back at the factory have built a great car. It's not easy being a McLaren fan but as long as the races stay as exciting as they have been, I can't really complain!

And on a side-note, any bets on who's going to become the first multiple race winner this year?

You guys all have computers; you could use the BBC online F1 coverage instead of using your computer to complain about missing the coverage :dunce:

It's UK only IIRC.

Well, it's a good time to be British and live in Engand then :P

You don't have to live in England to watch the BBC. Besides, you can keep your half season. I just moved here and get the whole thing live for free. Coverage is good too, if only my Japanese was better.

Half season?

The UK has the SKY F1 channel :sly:

Why not concentrate on your opinions on the race? Instead of showing your ignorance on the broadcasting issues.

Issues, there was about 3.

Pastor getting held up.
Vettels nosecone getting stuck.
Hamilton driving over the wheel.

Imagine how close Alonso might have gotten when his tyres were good, had Ginsters been held up a few seconds longer...

ATTENTION: Inferno in Williams Garage.

Tree'd, but all is under control now. 👍 and everyone is out safe.

What a horrendous sight. Not good.

Shows how prepared the teams are for something like this though when you see the teams fighting the flames.

Just hoping that it wasn't an attack on them.

Woah, seriously?

Any pictures? What's going on?!

There was apparently a explosion and it was a KERS fire. Turns out there are some injuries but the extent of which is yet to be known.

Hopefully the will be no serious consequences to it.

That was quite a big fire. Billowing black smoke, it spread very quickly!

Lets just hope they hadn't left the trophies in there!

EDIT: Early reports say it was an explosion causing a KERS fire. Injuries have been reported.
