I wonder if staying behind Piastri in DRS range will wreck his tires, but the pack behind him are also close.

They need a gap to Leclerc, otherwise Piastri will get swamped as soon as they swap the positions. They need the 1-2 for constructors as much as helping Norris in the drivers.

Oscar has said, and has always said, that he will abide by team orders, technically they haven't asked him to switch yet. Plus the proximity of the cars behind make it difficult, expect a finish line switch if anything.

Last lap switch is the plan. Better hope there’s no late incidents and flags.

I can understand some of the complaints about bias in the British F1 media. The BBC radio comms are way over the top today with their Lando support, it’s getting quite annoying.

Even as a Brit and someone who wants to see McLaren succeed again, that just leaves a bitter taste, more team order victories, questionable race control, seemingly still indecisive by McLaren regardless.

Yeah, not a fan of this.

Nice 1-2 from the McLarens.

I thought the Ferraris would be faster and hoped they could have taken some more points off of Max.

Bearman and Lawson looked racey.

McLaren seem to be super-wary of actually issuing team orders and it's really odd. We know you're going to switch to maximise Norris's points, you know you're going to, the drivers know you're going to, so why wait all this time?

The ideal way would have been to do it early and have Piastri give Leclerc DRS for a couple of laps to break the gap to Verstappen.

As soon as Leclerc made his small mistake and dropped back a bit, they should have immediately done it

Should've been a slam dunk win for Oscar but I get why they were swapped, as much as it bugs me. Especially when they almost threw him to the lion

All this fuss over 2 points.

Now we need Oscar to take pole again so we can have another go tomorrow.

Piastri doesn't give a **** about a sprint win, I don't think he'll be as generous during the main race though.

He will. He has said will abide by team orders to help Lando, esp. if McLaren benefits regardless in the WCC.

He’s been a very calm & collected driver. Next season will be a different story.

Max noted for VSC infringement
Saw the replay in the post show. He was already half a car length alongside Piastri when the VSC ended. That has to be a penalty.

5 Seconds would drop him to P4, 10 seconds would drop him to P5.

This is kind of sketchy, I doubt these guys are slowing down for that yellow.

I think it's okay so long as he's not ahead at the apex...
